When we first arrived at this hotel, the first thing I noticed was the smell. It was awful!! The second thing was the rude man at the front desk, and the third was a creepy old man who works as maintenance for the hotel who cornered me in the hallway trying to hit on me. I just ignored all this cause I was homeless needing a place to stay while my boyfriend worked at the paper mill in town to get us on our feet and we had borrowed money for the hotel from my dad for four days. During the four days our bed had a huge depression in it to the point we woke up hurting, so we asked for a new room or a new mattress. They brought the mattress, a heavy king sized one, and made us do the work to put on the slip and get it in the room and make the bed. The entire time there was no shampoo or conditioner, and when asked they gave me bar soap that literally smells like fish. My dog accidentally pottied on the way outside and I had told one of the laundry workers who entered the area that he had an accident and to be careful, and was told very rudely to clean it up even though that was my intention the entire time I simply didn't want them walking into it. The laundry is 30 dollars to wash and 10 to fold, extortion. Despite all this, and the fact that best Western was cheaper and had breakfast, we continued the reservation four more days, as my boyfriends boss bought it for us and we just wanted to be grateful. When we went to extend the stay we were assured that a room would be available on the 3rd floor after the maids had cleaned it the following morning. I have worked for hotels, and when you know a guest is waiting on a room, you prioritize cleaning that room first then the rest, as it doesn't affect the time in which all the rooms get done to prioritize one, and in turn boosts guest hospitality and morale. My boyfriend got off work at 6am, didn't go to sleep til 7, and had to wake up at 1030 to checkout and check in to our new room. We waited and waited, and the man at the front desk kept telling us the room wasn't clean. When I explained to him how my hotel used to do it, he said I couldn't rush the housekeepers and to get out of his face. I told him I wasn't in his face but this kind of behavior is what leads to a bad review. After which he rang up a refund receipt, called the cops and kicked us out. Come to find out, he's done it to multiple people. Don't go here. They have no respect for guest hospitality.
