Tutto bene: posto molto piacevole, cucina discreta, accoglienza perfetta e la guida (Pride) semplicemente perfetto!!! Belle stanze anche se cominciano ad essere un po’ datate (vetrate …). SPA di qualità eccelsa: uno di quei massaggi che ricordi nel tempo. La nota veramente negativa riguarda l’escursione in quad, da evitare come la peste! Cara (ma questo lo sapevamo ed abbiamo comunque deciso di farla, quindi il prezzo non è una critica …) ma il peggio è la persona che si occupa delle escursioni: dal fare altezzoso, a tutti noi è risultato assolutamente antipatico , ed anche questo ‘passi’, ma il fatto che ti accompagni in locali dove direttamente prende l mazzetta in contanti è insopportabile. Ti segue come un ombra per vedere cosa compri, quanto paghi, e subito dopo si fa dare la tangente, in puro stile mafioso. Anche nel negozio alle porte della riserva (negozio tenuto dalle donne artiste della cooperativa locale) rimane all’interno, segue con gli occhi, sprona a comprare e poi rimane per farsi dare la mazzetta. Di conseguenza abbiamo preso quello che avevamo già selezionato e siamo poi tornati il giorno successivo in modo che tutti i soldi pagati rimanessero nelle mani della gentilissima signora. Quindi OK, ma non fate le attività gestite dal mafiosetto locale!!

A fantastic three day safari break. The rooms, resort facilities and service from the staff were second to none. Always cheerful, smiling and always willing to help out. Our guide Jan was a character who not only did everything to ensure the safari experience was safe and thrilling, but was also our wake up alarm, our own drinks champion at morning and evening safaris, and educated us with his knowledge and passion for the wildlife on the park. We will definitely return.

Everything at this lodge is 5*! From the moment we arrived to our departure after 2 nights stay, the staff could not be more attentive. Accommodations are wonderfully appointed. Rangers are knowledgeable, patient & explain everything clearly. Safety always top of mind. Saw 4 of the 5, as the leopard while close, remained elusive. I could easily have stayed.

Brilliant time. Ivory Tree Lodge was lovely, great facilities and setting. Our lodge was spacious, huge bed and enormous bath, with an outside private shower. Food was plentiful and good variety and quality. Game drive guides were knowledgeable and made sure we saw everything we asked for, so exciting!

Anija, Anija, Anija Our stay at Ivory Lodge was very enjoyable. My wife had read reviews about Ivory Lodge, and a guide named Anija received much praise. Due to my mobility issues, we requested a lodge close to the main building. Although Anija is a Ranger, she sorted this out very quickly. Then to my wife's great delight, we found that we were on Anija's Jeep!! While on safari, we always felt safe and well looked after. We couldn't have wished for a better ranger. Many thanks. Ivory Lodge was excellent. Great food and staff. Highly recommended.

It is 2:30hrs drive from OR Tambo Airport to Ivory Tree Game Lodge . We drove through a very seeinary route of Magaliesberg Hartebeespoort dam .Those Magalies mountain drie over it makes the adventurous of the trip , Driving past hartebeesport dam to realize how massive that dam is and all the activities on it just blow one s mind . When we arrived at Ivory Tree Game Lodge we were received by an ice cold Orange juice while we were still checking in . Blown out by the room set up , love it , fantastic place will go there again and again and again .

We had a wonderful time at Shepherd's Tree. The accommodation is beautiful. The staff are attentive and responsive to any request. The twice daily safari trips were great. Our guide Megan went out of her way to ensure we saw as many animals as possible, including the very elusive leopard. We will definately return to Shepherd's Tree if we visit SA again.
