Hotel con parcheggio a Peterborough

Just spent 2 nights at the bull in Peterborough. We chose this hotel due to the location as we had theatre tickets for the Sat evening and distance from hotel was around a 5 / 7 min walk. Warmly greeted on arrival, check in was flawless and no issues. We were in room 181 which was a deluxe twin room, very spacious with everything you need. As the hotel is a listed building our bathroom layout had a large central tiled post that kind of separated the sink area from the shower area, but be aware its there as soon as you open the door. If using the bathroom at night put the light on . We ate in the bar on the two evenings , as on Fri night the restaurant itself was empty and the bar area had a warmer atmosphere. Plenty of drinks to choose from, and menu had plenty of choice. On the two evenings our food was served by kaylee ( kayleigh ) apologies if spelt incorrectly. Could not fault the young lassie, her service was exceptional and nothing was to much trouble. Thank you for looking after us ladies on our theatre trip Breakfast We had breakfast on both days as this was included in out package. Plenty of options available, hot food on counter that does get plated up for you. Could have done with being slightly Warner ( on both days ) as luke warm at best. Sat morning was greeted by waitress and tea was brought over, had to ask for toast as wasn't offered on 1st day. And although she was pleasant enough, a smile would have been a nice addition 2nd day breakfast service much better Lovely old building, worth a visit There is no lift in the building due to age please bear this in mind if you are planning a visit And as this is a best western hotel ( at the time of our booking Oct 24 ) we booked through best western Web site, this was much cheaper than booking through the bulls own website .

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, room was perfect, visual impairment awareness was spot on

Firstly, I like this old hotel, it has some real character, the rooms are large and stylish but... A) the parking is now extra, and the advert should say so. B) the staff are clearly inexperienced - helpful yes - but you really shouldn't greet staff as 'mate' or bud,' it's just the wrong 2star tone. C) if the kitchen staff don't turn up to cook breakfast, yes a refund is great but 'sorry for the inconvenience,' is better. It shows you, as a member of staff are invested in the hotel. When there were issues with my rooms TV my room was instantly replaced to an equally stylish room, no issues with that kind of service. I don't blame the young staff, it's about leadership. I saw a review where someone complains about rats and beggers. City facts you're never far from a rat or poverty, you can't realistically blame a hotel that there's a rat in their car park or begging in front of their property, one is environmental and the other economical, and a police matter. (I've stayed in this hotel three times, it's always the same individual, and it's the same story every time, no one can lose their ticket that often) This is a 3 star hotel with memories of 4 stars, staff are helpful, friendly but inexperienced, lacking confidence and pride in their profession, leadership is needed and this could be easily turned around. But despite these issues I'd still rather stay here than a characterless travel lodge.

La zona della stanza dell'hotel è OK, il bagno è anche grande, il bagno è un po'vecchio, un po'di isolamento sonoro, e il piano è buono che non sia alto, perché è necessario portare il bagaglio al piano di sopra. La posizione geografica è buona, a distanza dalla stazione di autobus e dal centro della stazione ferroviaria, non c'è ristorante, quindi se hai bisogno di colazione, l'hotel sarà pronto a mandare la colazione semplice alla stanza.

Nice hotel, situated within walking distance of the station and close to the town. Room was pleasant. Tea and coffee making facilities. Would like to see some decaffeinated tea in the rooms and at breakfast. Good choice of hot and cold foods for breakfast. The man on reception was helpful, he was also there last time we stayed, and was pleasant both times.

Il check-in era facile, il ricevitore era amichevole e utile. L'hotel è situato in una posizione molto buona, lontano dalla strumentazione e dalla bustina del centro città, ma molto vicino a pop in e fuori quando necessario. In generale, abbiamo avuto un bel tempo a Holiday Inn Peterborough. Lo consiglierei ogni giorno.

L'hotel è situato in una stazione di servizio occupata, quindi c'è stato molta attività intorno. Tuttavia, l'hotel stesso era tranquillo. Anche se era chiaramente completamente prenotato, non abbiamo sentito alcun rumore dall'esterno o da altri ospiti, suggerendo che le camere sono ben pronte o sono molto considerate. Non c'è ristorante o caffè all'interno dell'hotel stesso, ma McDonald's e diverse altre opzioni di fast food sono convenientemente situati nell'edificio vicino.

The Newark is a budget hotel about a mile from Peterborough city centre, so it may not be ideal for tourists (it's popular with forwarders, construction workers and such). But you can easily reach it by bus (lines 5, 5a) from the centre. The hotel was still being refurbished when I arrived, and my en-suite double was certainly modern and clean. The bathroom facilities I found to be excellent, except there was no rag for the towels to dry, and the bathroom door didn't have a cylinder (yet?). The shower was big (no curtain or door though), and the water pressure adequate (not a given in budget hotels). The bed was comfy, and there was enough storage for my clothes and stuff. A 32” flat-screen Tv was provided, with a remote. Free Wifi was available, too. I really wish they would have provided a toilet brush though! Early check-in went smoothly (direct email contact with the hotel was excellent), don't be put off by the gloomy-looking reception area. There's a very basically furnished garden to the back where you can hang out. The room service was a bit spotty, but I really didn't need it every day anyway. ;)

Get in on the big events at Peterborough Arena and Showground. Nip next door to the Serpentine Green Shopping Centre. Or sample a proper pint or two at the Peterborough Beer Festival. Then, when it's time to put your feet up, head back to our tasty restaurant and big, comfy beds.
