We had an excellent stay. The service was friendly and efficient. Our room was spacious and clean. We loved the 24 hour free tea/coffee in the lobby area - it is lovely to have a place to sit, rather than the bedroom. The beds were comfortable. There was plenty of parking and the hotel was conveniently located for our road trip. We enjoyed our visit.

First time in this Hotel and it is now my favorite. The rooms where spacious and very clean. The beds and bedding where comfortable, The A/C was quiet. We couldn't hear our neighbors. The room smelled good. Great breakfast. The only little thing is the service the night we arrived, the person at the reception seemed irritated when we checked in. Other than that overall great place.

we have stayed at this hotel many times since its construction, but after this latest stay we may go elsewhere. rooms and halways are looking tired and in need of a refresh. staff is a bit lacklustre, especially in the breakfast room. cold water runs hot and even the toilet flushes with hot water. thats a first. we were 45 minutes late checking out and got hit with 25.00 fee. thanks ihg.

Really enjoyed this Holiday Inn Express on a recent quick trip to Pembroke. The hotel was exceptionally clean and breakfast was great. We didn’t use the pool, so I can’t comment on that. I always enjoy the Holiday Inn Express and this was no exception.

After a day of driving that began in Moncton, New Brunswick, and a huge storm near Ottawa, we stopped for the night at the Holiday Inn Express just off the highway in Pembroke. After a friendly check in, we were given a pet-friendly room as we were traveling with our dogs. The room was large with a comfortable seating area and a very clean bathroom. The hotel was quiet, and we were able to have a great rest before continuing our cross-Canada drive in the morning. The breakfast was the standard Holiday Inn Express fare with pancakes, omelets, and a choice of continental style. This was a nice haven from the storm we drove through to get to Pembroke on a 1300 km day.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights as part of a vacation in eastern Ontario. My room and bathroom were clean, the bed was comfortable, the cable and air conditioning worked well, and WiFi was fine. The breakfast buffet was well stocked, as they always had a hot egg dish, a meat dish, and potatoes, as well as oatmeal, a pancake-maker, cold cereal, fruit and yogurt. Coffee and tea are available throughout the day. While I didn't need much service during my stay, the staff were polite and laid back. I was 30 minutes late in checking out, but they were fine about it. The hotel also has a pool and fitness room. I would definitely stay here again if I am back in the area.

We found nothing out of sorts. It was as we expected. We slept well and found our room to be fairly quiet. Breakfast in the morning was also pretty good. If we are in this area again I would stay here.

Came in for a drink with a friend of mine, I traveled from Cornwall so was a long trip. Had a lovely warm welcome from Raquel what a delight such a lovely smile. Tbh the whole team were very friendly but she deserves a mention. Next time I am down I shall come in again.

If you've been driving a long time, have already had a bite to eat, and if you don't mind some road noise or the lack of scenery, this is a decent enough place to grab some shut-eye. It's clean and orderly, with some nice design touches, and the people who work here try to be helpful, but for me it was just another bland lodging built as a quick stop-and-go for people hurrying along a highway, in this case, the Trans-Canadian. There were a couple of other lodgings in the cluster, one of which had an eatery that did not seem very appealing to us, although it was right there for a meal if you needed one. We wanted something with a litte more local color, and we hoped to find some good local food. We decided pretty quickly to drive the 10 or so miles to downtown Pembroke, which was an interesting and historic town to visit, with good places to eat and drink, and a nice rails-to-trails pathway that will take you to a pleasant park right on the Ottawa River. There is a lot of railroad history in Pembroke, too. The visit there made this stop worthwhile. If you do stay at the Holiday Inn Express for whatever reason -- brand loyalty, convenience or sleeping comfort, then with some free time on your hands, I'd recommend you get out and enjoy the local ambience in downtown Pembroke. The drive's a bit tricky so be sure to ask for directions.
