The Elgin Mount Pandim - Heritage Resort & Spa

Pleasant stay .. but not as exclusive as the Gangtok Elgin ppty which we have given a higher perfect rating ! Bath tub and shower but the water was not hot enough and so cud barely use . Food spread and taste was average .. room was cozy comfortable and with beautiful mt pandium view but this was after request . First night room was with a dirty green done view with poor bath fitting. For the price paid definitely they shud avoid giving such. Rooms to customers . Special mention ***ager at lobby , bartender and the ladies in the dining room were attentive.

The Hotel Property is excellent, the staff is superb, Food is good. The location is the best. The Hotel being an old British age Construction does not Have a lift in the main Building. Thus it is a pain to clim floors which could be 2-3 Floors. There appears to be Power cuts in Pelling, the Hotel does not have 100% Power back up thus the guest may have to sleep in the room without Heater and take a bath with Cold water. The worst is if any Guest desire to Talk to ***aging Director to explain the problem he is not ready to talk to the guest on Phone nor returns the call.

The Elgin property in Pelling is exquisite in every sense- decor , room , food , service , location . The view of the Kanchanjunga ranges is spectacular especially during sunrise . We had a fantastic stay at this hotel . The stay at this hotel made our holiday extra special .

While The Royal Retreat boasts a rich heritage and history, the overall experience falls somewhat short of expectations. Certain aspects of the stay could be improved. On the positive side, the staff members are friendly and courteous Despite their best efforts, some requests may take longer to fulfill than expected.

My room was under my husband’s name : Mr.Abhishek Madan. I would request everyone not to support these big property having only outside beauty and no services to provide at all. I would really like to mention that having a beautiful property doesn’t only fulfil the needs of a guest. I had the most pathetic experience in this property. The hotel was pretty much aware that we are going to check in late. After check in, we wanted to relax as it was a long journey. Such a big property and the geyser had the capacity to fill half of the bucket. What is the purpose of having a big bath tub, showers, etc. There is no way that we could have taken bath under those circumstances. This wasn’t enough, when we are calling the room service and reception, we have been told and I quote, “hun kya kar sakte hai, subah dekhenge”. Am I living in my own house or a luxury resort on a hill station? We were denied when we asked to talk to ***ager. Even in morning ***ager was not even aware of the situation. Elgin has ruined the mood of our Honeymoon and all we got in response se “hum kya kar sakte hai”.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction regarding the recent experience I had during my stay at your hotel on 08/02/24 to 10/02/24. Unfortunately, my stay was marred by a significant and prolonged blackout that lasted throughout the entire night. The blackout not only disrupted my plans but also caused considerable inconvenience and discomfort. Without power, I was unable to utilize essential amenities such as lighting, heating/cooling, and charging outlets. Additionally, the lack of communication or assistance from the hotel staff during this ordeal only exacerbated the situation. As a paying guest, I expect a certain level of service and comfort, which was clearly not met during my stay. I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, but it is unacceptable for a reputable establishment like yours to fail in providing basic necessities such as electricity. I urge you to investigate this matter thoroughly and take immediate steps to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future. Furthermore, I kindly request appropriate co****sation for the inconvenience and disruption caused by this blackout. The food service at the hotel was satisfactory overall. While the meals offered were decent in taste and presentation, there were some areas for improvement. The variety of options could have been expanded to cater to different dietary preferences, and the waiting times for orders were occasionally longer than expected. However, the staff members were courteous and attentive, and the dining area was kept clean and well-maintained. Overall, while there is room for enhancement, the food service experience was acceptable during my stay. I hope that you will take this matter seriously and address it promptly. Your prompt attention to this issue is greatly appreciated.

Its a dream place this property with breathtaking views of the Kanchenjunga . Undoubtedly on of the best furnished rooms that I have ever stayed in my life, especially if you choose the cottages. They actually have a fire place that works. The food is good though not very ethnic or local. Staff is quite helpful, the Spa is worth having a go.

Service of staff is excellent the food was excellent mr Nilu the chef served very tasty food I give him five star as the South Indian as well as punjabi food taste was excellent and I specially thank mr Nilu chef served good veg food And suprina s service is very good

Hotel is amazing with amazing view of Kanchenjunga if the skies are clear. Rooms are also very spacious and clean. Staff is courteous and extremely helpful. We loved our stay, buffet could have been better both in terms of taste and availability
