Una bella città, su una peninsula tra i fiumi del Danubio e l'Inn. Un tempo un potente principe Bishopric. Un taxi breve (o camminare?) dalla stazione. La mia prima, e spero non la mia ultima, visita. Vi invito a rimanere al Passauer Wolf. La porta anteriore si apre al centro storico, e la porta posteriore alla Promenade del Danubio. Molto comoda camera con buon bagno. Eccellente colazione buffet, servito in una stanza che guarda il Danubio. Personale molto piacevole e utile. Non ci sono ristoranti, ma l'hotel dispone di un bar e una piccola terrazza sul tetto. Per una passeggiata serale, la promenade dell'Inn è preferibile al Danubio, dove sono intrecciati i grandi navi da crociera.

This 3-star hotel lies in the heart of the Bavarian city of Passau. It offers stylishly furnished rooms with free internet and a view of the River Danube. All rooms at the Hotel am Paulusbogen feature free Wi-Fi and some rooms offer a view of the Veste Oberhaus fortress across the Danube. A daily breakfast buffet is provided at the Hotel am Paulusbogen. The hotel restaurant serves regional modern dishes. The café terrace is open in warm weather. The Hotel am Paulusbogen is a 2-minute walk from Passau cathedral and a 10-minute walk from the main train station.

The lobby is beautiful and there are comfortable sitting areas both inside and outside. The room was bright and smelled clean and fresh. There were little chocolates and earplugs on our pillows. The bathroom was small, but comfortable and had little amenities such as shower caps, lotion and sponges. The shower door did leak, though. There was a lovely minibar in the room with drinks and snacks that were reasonably priced. Parking was a problem. There is a garage, but the incline is so steep, that we couldn't drive down it without damaging the car. We had to find parking on the street. The hotel was located a little farther away from the city center as we thought, but not really bad. It's a nice walk downhill and over a bridge.

Passau is a fantastic medieveal town to visit. The hotel is convenientally located in this wonderful city. One finds itself very close to both modern and ancient. One direction leads to the modern part of the city. In the other direction you find yourself in old town. The room we stayed was large and clean, with a great view right of the Danube. The entire facility was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was tasty and varied. I would reccommend Koenig for a comfortable stay in Passau.
