We recently stayed at Kalachuchi Beach Resort and absolutely loved it! Located about 30 minutes from the port, this secluded gem offers a tranquil escape with its own private beach. The villas are spacious and comfortable, with two large beds and hot/cold showers. We appreciated the quiet and secluded atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff were incredibly welcoming and the food at the restaurant was delicious and generous in portion size. The resort boasts a lovely pool and a private beach, ideal for swimming and sunbathing. While WiFi is limited to the reception, pool, and restaurant area, the lack of mobile signal actually encouraged us to truly disconnect and enjoy our vacation. A note for travelers: The Google Maps location is inaccurate, so be sure to double-check directions before arriving. Overall, Kalachuchi Beach Resort is a fantastic choice for anyone seeking a peaceful and relaxing escape in Siquijor 🤍

⭐ ”Best hostel experience in Siquijor!” I stayed at Tribu Kihud for 7 nights and it was absolutely amazing. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was part of a family. The owners and staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The bamboo cottages are simple but cozy, surrounded by nature and peace. The location is also great — close to San Juan's restaurants and beaches. What makes this place truly special is the atmosphere. You meet other travelers easily, share meals, and enjoy quiet evenings. It's not a fancy hotel, but it's perfect for backpackers who want a genuine and affordable experience. They can also help you rent a motorbike to explore the island. Yes, there's no hot water, but honestly, the cold shower felt refreshing after a hot day! . I highly recommend Tribu Kihud to anyone visiting Siquijor. We stayed for 2 nights at Zosimo’s Inn. Our rooms was massive with kitchen and a fridge. Our second room upstairs was where our young adults stayed. The place is clean, room was very welcoming. Bed has the right firmness. Sheets and towels were crisp white. Toiletries were provided. No Netflix or Disney on the TV. Reception answers inquiries promptly. This was the reason I opted for this place. The price I paid for was just right with breakfast included. There is a very close walkable street food in Lazi, which was great. Our breakfast was served in a nearby eatery where our meal was prepared as ordered. Overall, it was a good stay, aside from its distance from the main city- around 30 minutes. I can recommend this place if distance to the noisy main city is not for you. I was gonna upload photos but trip.com website takes a long while to upload. ☹️

Aspetti negativi: - la piscina è davvero piccola, solo per rilassarsi, non per nuotare. - il segnale della rete mobile è scarso o inesistente. Il Wi-Fi dell'hotel è molto, molto lento la maggior parte del tempo. Il resto è stato fantastico. Ambiente bellissimo, resort pulitissimo, ristorante fantastico, personale super cordiale, disponibile e attento. È anche possibile noleggiare l'attrezzatura per lo snorkeling (da non perdere! Molto divertente e abbastanza sicuro) e noleggiare uno scooter direttamente tramite l'hotel (procedura molto semplice e intuitiva). Nel complesso ho adorato il mio soggiorno e ci tornerò volentieri!!!

Staff are friendly and helpful, but we had no hot water to start off with, our toilet blocked up, very noisy because of the people on the upper floor and the cockerels very early in the morning. Beach is very smelly and muddy, you can definitely not use it for swimming. They charge even for a coffee takeaway cup. Room/bathroom is dated. Location is great, and garden is nice.

Il personale era davvero meraviglioso e utile per tutta la mia permanenza, che apprezzo davvero.Il prezzo è anche molto conveniente. Ma io trovo la camera molto incomoda, la stanza non aveva una ventilazione adeguata, e c'era un odore notabile. Il condizionamento d’aria era vecchio e molto rumoroso, e c’era costante rumore di fondo, compresi i suoni d’acqua e poco o nulla di isolamento acustico dalle camere vicine. Gli elementi di confort di base come le mutandine, la materassi e il letto non soddisfavano nemmeno le aspettative, ma la situazione della finestra non era ideale. Purtroppo, nonostante il grande personale e il prezzo ragionevole, non mi piacerebbe restare di nuovo qui.

This resort is far away from the main area and there’s nothing really around the resort. In itself that is something I’d prefer, but the lack of access to things outside is something they seem to take advantage of. Beautiful location with problems occurring whenever you need help from staff members. Never in my life have I been at a hotel which tried to charge me for water, the thing we need to survive as humans. We asked the hotel if they could order us a tuktuk fto get to dinner as I wanted to drink so I didn’t want to take our scooter. They said no problem. 2.5 hours later we are assured for the 5th time, “just another 15 minutes”. By the time we are it was 10 pm but the hotel offered no apology, the manager of the hotel just told us that this is Philippine culture, which we needed to understand. How patronising. We weren’t told on check in you need to actually ask for your room to be cleaned and when I did ask my towels were taken away and no replacements were given. It seems there is a lack of any communication between the staff. On the positives the sunset is amazing and the food there is good too. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The whole place is totally let down by bad management and a reluctance to give anything for free. Even the basics. A promising place, but they fall down badly on the basics and for that reason I wouldn’t recommend it

L'hotel si trova appena fuori San Juan, in una zona piacevolmente tranquilla. Consiglio vivamente di noleggiare uno scooter per esplorare l'isola in autonomia. È anche possibile prenotare dei tuk-tuk tramite l'hotel. Il personale dell'hotel è molto gentile, disponibile e accogliente. Un grande ringraziamento a loro! Purtroppo, tutto sembra un po' sporco e necessita di ristrutturazione. Entrambe le piscine sembrano belle a prima vista, ma sono piuttosto sporche. Alcune camere non erano molto pulite: c'erano macchie sugli armadi che abbiamo dovuto rimuovere noi stessi. Lo scaldabagno e l'aria condizionata nella prima camera non funzionavano, o almeno non molto bene. Dopo aver reclamato per due giorni, siamo finalmente riusciti a cambiare camera. Non è stato previsto alcun servizio di pulizia durante il nostro soggiorno di sette giorni. Abbiamo dato acqua e cibo al cane al guinzaglio davanti all'hotel diverse volte, poiché la sua ciotola era sempre vuota. In genere non sono una persona esigente, ma per 61 € a notte mi aspetto maggiore comfort, asciugamani in cotone anziché in microfibra e una pulizia decisamente migliore. Non possiamo consigliare questo soggiorno.

L'hotel è pulito, il servizio è buono, il personale è molto bello, amichevole e accogliente. La posizione è anche conveniente e rende facile raggiungere. Uno dei punti da tenere in mente è il trasporto, e consiglio di organizzare il trasporto all'hotel in anticipo, soprattutto quando arrivo al pierre. Altrimenti, si può noleggiare una moto fuori dal porto di pier, che è una grande opzione se si intende esplorare l'intera isola durante il vostro soggiorno. In generale, ho avuto una piacevole esperienza e mi piacerebbe consigliare questo hotel.
