Hotel con parcheggio a Rotorua

We stayed at Hana Lodge as a family group of five families, with ages ranging from 8 to 71 years old. One of the main reasons I chose Hana Lodge was because I wanted to experience the atmosphere of a grand country estate. I also noticed they offered a whole-house rental with a full kitchen and laundry facilities, which was perfect for our large family. However, upon arrival, I realized that the house we rented was a separate unit away from the main lodge and estate building. This was quite disappointing, as it was not what I had expected from the photos and description. Since we were travelling with elderly family members who have some mobility challenges, as well as young children, having to drive between our house and the main lodge was not very convenient. We arrived late on our first evening, and the property was very dark. Combined with the quiet surroundings, it felt a little intimidating at night. However, the next morning completely changed my impression. Driving into the estate during daylight revealed the beautiful grounds and the true manor-like atmosphere that I had been hoping for. The property is peaceful, elegant, and full of character. Breakfast was excellent. There was a buffet selection including bread, fresh fruits, yogurt, cheese, marinated fruits, and cereals. Guests could also choose a main breakfast dish from the menu. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous. After breakfast, we explored the grounds. The weather was lovely, the sky was bright blue, and the entire estate looked stunning. We even saw alpacas, which delighted both the children and adults. There was also a beautiful bamboo grove. Unfortunately, the paths were not wheelchair-friendly, and the uneven rocky surfaces made it difficult for our elderly family members to access the area. While walking around, we discovered a pathway connecting the main lodge and our house, which was helpful. Nevertheless, I still felt a little disappointed that the rental house was separated from the main estate, as it reduced the immersive manor experience that I was looking forward to. The house itself is somewhat dated, but everything functioned well. We raised a few issues during our stay, and the staff were patient, helpful, and provided reasonable explanations. Their service was appreciated. For guests visiting in winter and planning to rent the whole house, I would recommend requesting that the unit be pre-heated before arrival. Visitors from warmer countries, especially in Asia, may find the house quite cold when they first arrive. We also had to spend some time figuring out how to operate certain heaters, as there was limited guidance available. That said, the lodge may not have known our specific needs, and we did not inform them in advance that we might require additional instructions. Overall, despite some disappointments regarding the location of the rental house and accessibility challenges for elderly guests, we enjoyed our stay. The estate itself is beautiful, the breakfast is excellent, and the peaceful surroundings make it a memorable place to visit. If I return to Hana Lodge in the future, I would choose a different season, as I imagine the gardens and grounds would be even more spectacular when all the plants are in full bloom.

Excellent location. Beautiful grounds and property. Stunning views. Spacious room. Helpful staff. Nice bonus that there are animals on the property. One major goof up — thankfully acknowledged quickly however could have been much more sensitively handled. 

Location is excellent with lot of cafes and restaurants. I took the Intercity coach which dropped off at the tourist information site. From there it is a less than 5 minutes straight walk and then turning right to reach the hostel. Very friendly and helpful receptionist however do note it is closed at 6pm. Toilet and shower areas are very clean despite huge group during my stay. Shower gel and towel are provided which is great for me. I stayed in private single room which is good enough for me. Have kitchen with fridges, microwaves, stoves , utensils, pans , cleaning soap…… paid washing machines. U can parked your luggage after checkout for free. Walking distance to Rotorua Central Mall which has a food court and McDonald n KFC for slightly cheaper meal options. Entrance to hostel are always locked with passcode thus felt safe . I will definitely stay there if I am in Rotorua.

We stayed there in mid-May. Very clean accommodation. Comfortable beds too. One reverse cycle air-con upstairs in the lounge/kitchen area. Rooms were provided with a portable column heater each. There was a towel heater in the bathroom located downstairs but it was inadequate to warm the bathroom. When one of the column heater stopped working, it was replaced immediately. We were happy with the accommodation. The only negatives were lack of mirrors and hooks (to hang wet towels) in the bedrooms but these were minor issues. Will stay again.

Come la maggior parte delle persone ha detto, l'hotel è data e ha bisogno di un po' di lavoro. Eravamo sfortunati per il lento check-in. Inizialmente ci è stato detto che c'era un problema nella nostra stanza e sono stati completamente prenotati il giorno, quindi ci è stato chiesto di muoversi verso l'ibis della porta successiva. Più tardi, quando gli ho detto che avevamo prenotato una stanza gemella, ci hanno trovato una stanza.

Room was comfortable, nice view of the water and had comfortable bed. Clean room and bathtub. The heated tiles in the bathroom were a bonus. Just had no elevator but they do offer help to carry your bag upstairs if you need help and had accessible rooms on ground floor. We didn’t use the spa - wasn’t sure how clean it was, but when we checked out, we did see them emptying out the water from the spa.

Amazing hotel with all the amenities you would ever need. Plenty of free parking on site, heated thermal pool and spa. Games room for kids if you want to bring them too lol. Staff are really helpful, rooms are comfortable and always clean. It is older and in need on an update but facilities work and are functional. It’s my 4th stay and I will stay again next visit. Souvenir shop on site has limited hours but very affordable gifts.

Penso che questo hotel sia stato un grande valore per il prezzo che abbiamo pagato. E ' letteralmente un 10-15 minuti a piedi dal centro culturale Te Puia, che è la ragione per cui voliamo a Rotorua per il giorno. 15-minute Uber andare dall'aeroporto e indietro, facile in e fuori. Un altro vantaggio era la dimensione della camera. Ho potuto avere una camera da letto, così mio marito poteva fare un lavoro mentre mi sono rilassato nella stanza accanto. Wifi era abbastanza buono per quello che ci serviva. Il colazione incluso era ... Meh. Molto mancanza. Probabilmente uno dei buffet di colazione di minor qualità che abbiamo avuto in un po' ... Ma non mi aspettavo niente di spettacolare, ma il posto ha vibes più vecchie con una stench nell'aria. Non sono sicuro che fosse un problema di scarico, o forse stava spruzzando dai geyser?Ma in ogni caso non era piacevole.

L'esperienza generale è stata molto deludente: il servizio è stato sempre occupato, poiché c'era solo un membro del personale disponibile, che ha fatto i check-in e le richieste molto temporanee. La questione più grande era la calda calda dell’acqua nella stanza, che era in terribile condizione, con la polvere e le tinture visibili. Ho dovuto bollire l’acqua per il mio bambino, ma non potevo usarla in modo sicuro. Questo era un incubo e mi ha lasciato molto insoddisfatto con il soggiorno.

La mia famiglia e io abbiamo soggiornato nella stanza 214 e abbiamo trovato i letti troppo duri e molto scomodi. Mio marito ha dovuto dormire quasi tutta la notte sulla sedia. Ho anche chiesto a un membro dello staff alla reception dove si trovassero la palestra e la piscina e mi è stato detto che non ce n'erano, gliel'ho spiegato, l'ho detto online e lui sembrava confuso. Penso che debba essere modificato online, quindi è uno dei motivi per cui avevo prenotato qui. A parte questi problemi, l'hotel era pulito e molto ordinato e il personale era cordiale.
