WWolfgang_JoOur stay at the Executive Inn was overall very pleasant, with a few standout highlights and one clear drawback. The absolute best feature was access to the gym facilities from the Balance Collective. The range and quality of equipment and workout tools were exceptional — easily one of the most complete hotel fitness options I’ve experienced. It made it easy to maintain a full training routine while traveling.
The room itself was very comfortable. The bed provided great support and helped ensure restful sleep. I also appreciated the spacious layout of both the room and the bathroom, which made the stay feel more premium and relaxed rather than cramped.
On the downside, the breakfast did not meet the same standard. The selection was quite limited, and considering the price, it didn’t feel like good value. Improving variety and overall quality would significantly enhance the guest experience.
Overall, I would still recommend the hotel, especially for guests who value high-quality fitness facilities.

UUtente ospiteRead the fine print! We booked the highest level room balcony and ocean view. However on checkin we had balcony and Partial ocean view looking at a carpark. The only rooms that offer both are on level 4 and 5. Management were apologetic but unable to provide the room booked as they were at capacity. But they did offer complimentary breakfast and parking which was appreciated. The room we paid top dollar for was very disappointing but the service management provided means we will give them another go but request a room on 4 or 5.

MMyOwnPrivateGlobeI liked the hotel, it was adequate for my purpose and I enjoyed my short stay. I was disappointed about no room service - tried to order across the two days, but nothing on offer on the digital menu like what was being offered on the cardboard menu left in my hotel room. That would have really made my stay, being that I was visiting Australia and hotel stays are a bit of a luxury for me. Only time I ever watch television is when I'm travelling in different regions. TV channels were a great first experience of Australian culture after arriving very late at night. MTV and Rage, heck yeah! Mind-blowing! In fact, more mind-blowing than that, stepping outside the hotel, wandering down to the Civic and hearing all kinds of wildlife at the sides of the road, just on the median ***** that runs between roads, jittery bugs and birds! Hilarious and utterly wild. I LOVED how much of Australia has, seemingly, to an outsider, been preserved, conserved, and the amount of greenery between places - Newcastle to Sydney. England has sadly not fared the same. Anyway, my stay was good. Hotel staff were friendly, free water in carafes, downstairs at the bar. Best thing was I caught an amazing thunderstorm on the morning before checking out. Thanks, Mercure! Thanks, Newy! 😜 Love ya Australia. Be back soon!

UUtente ospiteGuida da Sydney a Newcastle Mercure Charlestown Hotel per circa due ore.Arrivo alla reception all'hotel per effettuare il check-in alle 1 p.m., ma la signorina della reception è molto entusiasta di organizzare il check-in immediatamente.
Abbiamo prenotato una camera con letto matrimoniale + una camera singola, la stanza è molto pulita.La finestra della stanza è verso il cortile anteriore, c'è una strada stradale fuori dal cortile, ma la finestra di apertura della stanza non può sentire il rumore, molto tranquillo.
La stanza è pulita ogni giorno, e il letto è molto tranquillo.
Ristorante dell'hotel: abbiamo vissuto tre giorni e due notti. La colazione era a casa sua. 27 dollari/persona. Il cameriere era molto entusiasta. Chiese se volevamo fare uova o uova da bagno (diversamente da uova da burro per gli occidentali). La colazione non è così grande come lo stile dell'hotel 5 stelle, ma il nostro 2 colazione è molto soddisfacente, e lo stile è sufficiente per la nostra scelta.
La cena è stata la prima notte fuori, la seconda notte nel suo ristorante.Da pranzo pre-pranzo + pranzo fresco + piatto di salsa, ogni piatto è molto delizioso.Non mi piace la foto di solito, ma non ho sopportato di vedere una foto prima di pranzo.
Il personale di servizio è molto educato. Dopo aver cenato, ci chiederà sempre se siamo soddisfatti.
Pool: per questo, questo hotel è anche quello che vedo che ha una piscina all'aperto.Dopo il soggiorno, vedo che non puoi nuotare dopo le sei e poi chiedere alla reception.La reception ha detto che non c'era nessun limite di tempo, puoi nuotare in qualsiasi momento, è davvero bello.
La piscina non è grande, cambia un po' veloce dal bacino alla profondità, ma nuoteremo, quindi non importa.Se c'è una famiglia che non nuoterebbe bambini, è meglio portare una canna salvataggio.
Questo mese, alle cinque e alle sette di sera, l'acqua è calda, il sole non è forte, molto raccomandato.
Nota: se la colazione non è in prenotazione, è necessario prenotare sul recepimento e cena.
Il parcheggio della sua famiglia è gratuito, ed è anche un'altra ragione per cui ho prenotato la sua casa.Il parcheggio si è separato dal cortile davanti e dietro, e la mia finestra della stanza è in avanti, quindi l'auto è stata parcheggiata nel cortile davanti.

My preference of room was booked out for this stay
So I chose single room with shared bathroom and was a bit unsure what to expect
It wasn't terrible at all
I enjoyed having access to the balcony
I slept so soundly,I didn't move all night
I did dine in the bistro one evening the food was ready quickly and it was lovely
I was provided fresh towels for each of the 3 days I was a guest
I didn't utilise the communal kitchen but I think it is a great addition

Stayed in a 1-bedroom villa at Jesmond Executive Villas for 2 nights. Our room was in the new apartment building, which was clean, spacious, and generally well-presented. The location was convenient and the overall experience was good.
That said, for a new building, the construction quality was disappointing. The shower door didn’t close properly, and one of the bedroom cupboard rollers was missing. Small issues, but they added up.
Another frustrating aspect was the entry system. We had to use keypad codes every time to access the front entrance, lift, and room – which quickly became inconvenient. I raised this with the staff and was told that key fobs were too expensive to provide, which didn’t feel like a great excuse for a property that otherwise tries to present itself at a higher standard.
Overall, the stay was comfortable and the place has potential, but it would benefit from better maintenance and more guest-friendly access solutions.

Apartment is spacious, air con is good but only in loungeroom, no on-site parking unless you book in advance and it is limited, on St parking in $5.70 per hour. *** bar next door is extremely loud Friday and Saturday nights, hard to get to sleep, no dishwashing liquid provided but ample washing machine powder, some kitchen drawers were faulty and fell apart on opening. Could be better, I expected more from the cost. Why is Newcastle so expensive????
