I stayed at the Boathouse Apartments with my husband and 15 month old son after my son was quite sick on Hamilton island and unable to fly home. As there was no accommodation on Hamilton island I called up a few different places and settled on the Boathouse Apartments. I called ahead of time to see if we could check in early so my son could nap after the journey across. The reception staff were quite friendly and did try to get us in quickly however when we got to the room there was a rollaway bed instead of a cot. We left the room and came back to a cot being dumped in the apartment and not set up at all (not a big issue but also not what I’d expect paying the price for premium accommodation). The following morning I received a text that they had to do maintenance in our apartment for roughly 2 hours (I was never advised of this even though I called twice, told them I had a sick child and booked over the phone). We had staff knock on the door twice throughout the day to see when they could do it. First when we had a screaming child we were trying to give antibiotics too and secondly when we were trying to get him down for a nap (again when he was very distressed). We ended up having to leave and sit in a room after an unsuccessful nap with a toddler who had a high fever, ear infection and a rash. I’d also been trying to book a Telehealth appointment to have my son assessed but this was made difficult due to the fact we had to leave the room. One of the reasons I booked was due to the washer/dryer, we had no clothes left so I did a wash upon arrival. I ran the dryer multiple times that evening and kept finding sopping wet clothes at the end of every cycle which was really frustrating. On the following day we asked about the dryer and were advised that they don’t work very well and that the only apartments that had dryers were occupied. Because of this we were forced to wear the same clothes for 3 days straight. Not great for a messy/sick toddler.. We eventually were able to get our clothes dried and received them around 5pm the night before checking out. While I do appreciate the staff for doing so, it wasn’t very helpful at that point. The whole experience was really awful. Travelling with a sick child is hard enough let alone having that added stress. I am pretty annoyed that no one advised us of the works needing to occur during our stay and the fact that a dryer is falsely advertised. I never would have booked if I had known either of these things ahead of time and I feel fairly ripped off for the money we paid given it wasn’t exactly for a holiday..

My husband and I booked a Deluxe King Spa Room for 5 nights, 6 days including continental breakfast. Overall we were happy with our stay. Staff were friendly, room was clean, the pool area was lovely. Only small complaints are that the pillows were not very comfortable and the bathroom needs updating, the water pressure in the shower was very bad. The restaurant in the resort was lovely for our daily breakfasts but very expensive. If you wanted hot food for breakfast you had to pay for it and the price of $5 for a hash brown, $5 for bacon and $3 for a poached egg was exuberant. We realised that the inclusive continental breakfast did not include hot breakfast foods. The choice of other breakfast foods was ok. I, personally would like to give a shout out to Christina at reception for looking after me when I needed a special favour 😊.

We stayed in apartment #40 a 3 bedroom penthouse. And boy when they say penthouse it sure is not a lie!!!! This apartment had the most amazingly stunning views I have ever seen. You feel like you are literally on top of the world. The views go on and on and on. Words cannot describe! The outdoor space is unbelievable. You have outdoor space on the main level along with the amazing top level. Pictures do not do it justice. From the interior of the apartment there are a set of stairs up to the outdoor space. Once you open the door you will be amazed. A vast sitting area, snooker table, darts (need new darts, the tips were not very sharp according to our resident dart player), BBQ grill, counter space with a sink and fridge. There are 2 loungers to soak up the sun and a small pool to the side. Our only issue was the pool, when we arrived it did not look clean. We called the next morning and we think she was the property manager, came over quickly. And apologized for it not being cleaned, she got in contact with the pool people and they came over within the hour. The did clean it and treated it but truth be told, I think it needs a refresh. Some tiles were missing or in the pool and it really needs a good deep clean. Wasn't appealing to really go in but we did utilize it since it was blistering hot most days we were there. The interior space was awesome. Plenty of room to spread out. The master bedroom was huge but be aware it is an open concept no door to shower or toilet. Not an issue for me and my husband but some may not feel the same way. Our only other minor issue was the noise that the A/C unit made a constant humming sound which may bother light sleepers. You will need a vehicle here. The walk down to town is not bad going downhill but not sure walking back up would be advisable LOL! We took a taxi back up, not a problem. A great place, highly recommend staying here you will not be disappointed.

excellent hotel, highly recommend location is at the main street, and close to the wharf room is spacious, clean and fully equipped it's own restaurant is the best part, order a main course and you can enjoy the buffet of high quality appetizer and dessert. the atmosphere is also fantastique, live music is available

I stayed at Vista apartments for one week and it was very relaxing, pleasant stay. The staff, the ladies, Bebe and Robyn were very welcoming and very helpful with advice on where to get the best coffee or meal, places to visit, and very helpful with suggesting and arranging the tours. And available for a chat, which is great for solo travellers. Thank you, ladies! I stayed in one bedroom apartment that was very clean, bed linen changed midweek. Well equipped kitchenette so I could make meals when I felt like. Stunning views from balcony. Nothing beats the morning coffee on the balcony with the views of the harbor, the sea and islands on horizon. Bus stop next to the hotel if you don't feel like walking, however, it was only short walk to Port Airlie and about 10 -15 minutes to the main street, lagune and boardwalk. By the way, bus fare is 50 cents! There is free underground car park as well. So.if you want great accommodation at the very sensible price, go to the Vista! Oh, almost forgot. There is Thai restaurant at the hotel, that offers delicious dinners and I would highly recommend Zorro cafe at Port area, look up the photos to see why.

Il paesaggio è eccellente e le strutture sono leggermente vecchie, ma fondamentalmente non influenzano l'uso normale, insomma, il luogo ideale per le vacanze di Airlie Beach

Dal momento che abbiamo cercato di aprire la porta per avere la libertà la stanza pulita e temperata e “prendere il bagaglio” mentre lei parte, questo posto ha pagato un prezzo premio e non consegna. L'odore del ventilatore di scarico del ristorante vicino alla porta entra nel bagno e profuma la tua stanza!! È stato costruito vicino a 50 anni fa e sembra che solo il minimo minimo è stato fatto per aggiornare le strutture. Il frigorifero non aveva un adeguato alloggio (vedi foto) che un altro viaggiatore aveva preso in considerazione ai proprietari diversi mesi fa, e pensavo che li avrebbero sostituiti... ma no, che li avrebbe costati soldi. Nessuna tavola, solo una rack con nessuna trappola fornita. (Vedere foto) È dato 1 asciugamano bianco (grigio) sottile per ogni ospite, per un periodo di 4 giorni. Che scherzo, non avvertino le persone di questo fatto quando si prenota. Anche la rack fornita per asciugare le tue tole è indossata. Vedi foto. Il bagno sembra non essere stato pulito dall'ultimo secolo. Putrid. (Vedi foto) ci si aspettava di pulirla quando siamo partiti. Che mi ha fatto chiedere se queste unità sono pulite e saneate tra gli ospiti, soprattutto in questa età di Covid!! Certamente un pericolo per la salute. Nessuna schermata sulle porte, quindi non si può dormire con la porta o la finestra aperta per l'aria fresca alla notte. La sicurezza è una grande preoccupazione in questo caso, poiché la porta posteriore non ha una chiusura morta. Siamo stati avvertiti di ladri che entrano nel complesso, ma ovviamente non è stato fatto nulla per garantire le proprietà degli ospiti mentre sono fuori. Vorrei consigliare alle persone di guardare altrove in Airlie Beach e non sprecare soldi su questo dumping.

My wife and I elected to stay in a Queen Designer room with Water Aspect. The room was bright and clean, very neat. The room had a large ensuite bathroom, with walk in shower and support rails for the less abled. From the balcony we had a great view of the park and lagoon areas, the beach and spectacular ocean views. Being located in the centre of Airlie Beach, everything was very handy - restaurants, tourist centres, taxis and a Woolworths supermarket. On arrival, we had booked a Tuk Tuk ride to gain an idea of where things were. Our rider was a source of much useful information and would highly recommend this option.

I really enjoyed my 9 night stay here recently. The balcony provided beautiful views, the self-contained apartment was clean and tidy and had everything I needed, including a washing machine and dryer. It's a 10 to 15 minute walk to restaurants, the beach and shops. The bus is very close if you prefer not to walk. There is a steep hill to get up the driveway if you are without transport, but it was just part of my daily exercise routine. Not at all an issue for me but some may struggle if they don't have a car.
