Chez Pépé Merle - Chambres d'hôtes dans le quartier du Père Lachaise

Me, my wife and two teenage daughters had a lovely time at Chez Pépé Merle! Claire was a wonderful host. She immediately made us feel welcome, made sure we had anything we needed, and offered excellent suggestions and advice during our five-night stay. She got to know us and our likes, and her fresh breakfasts were delicious. We came during a hot time in Paris, so she made sure we always had plenty of cold water (still and sparkling!) and sodas in the refrigerator. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms and bathrooms were spotless clean. Chez Pépé Merle is located in a non-touristy part of the 11th arrondissement, with a very close metro station around the corner, as well as many excellent dining options that cater to local Parisians and not just tourists. Behind an unassuming entryway and up some creaky stairs in a lovely old building, lies a hidden gem. If I was a local, I would take relaxing weekend getaways to Chez Pépé Merle whenever I could.

Such a lovely stay with a wonderful and welcoming host. Claire has lots of tips and knowledge.of all things Paris and was very happy to share. And also very accommodating as I speak very little French and therefore spoke in English. That was really appreciated. Thank you!! Chez Pepe Merle is around a 20 minute walk to Paris Gare du Nord train station for Eurostar and train travel. 5 minutes from the amazing Pere Lachaise cemetery and has excellent links via metro and bus, to anywhere in the city and beyond. I walked a route to the Eiffel tower that was recommended by Claire which took me past Notre Dame, The Louvre, through Tuileries gardens to Cleopatra's needle, up the Champs Elysées and on to the magnificent L'arc du Triomphe. There are electric city bikes to hire everywhere. Sign up to the apps before you go so that you're ready to hire them. I say this as it took me 20 minutes and it would have just been more straight forward if I'd done this earlier. The facilities at Chez Pepe Merle were lovely and clean with a really good shower room. Great shower!! And the bed was wonderfully comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with coffee and lovely bread, cheeses, jams and fruit salad. Just lovely!!! There are also lots of places to eat and drink, and the food was delicious. Also, local shops open late and a couple of nice cheese and wine shops. I don't usually do reviews but people should know about this place. And then get booked in. I cannot recommend staying here highly enough. Thank you again Claire for such a lovely stay. Duncan :)

My family had a fantastic stay at Chez Pepe Merle. The area is great with several places to eat and access to the Metro. The apartment was clean and comfortable, and we were made to feel at home during our stay.

Amazing host, Claire. Great breakfast, different each day. Good coffee. Lovely rooms all decorated individually like a magazine!! Really easy access with Metro 1 minute away. Great restaurants nearby.

heerlijke plek om te logeren, goed gelegen vlakbij Pere Lachaise aan metrolijnen 2 en 3. Veel resto's en bars in de buurt. Heel mooi appartement, heel knap ingericht, veel oog voor detail. Goede bedden, heel netjes! Super ontbijt, elke dag weer helemaal anders. Meer dan voldoende keuze, voor elk wat wils. Koffie, thee, water, fruit, koekjes ter beschikking de hele dag door. Klein keukentje waar je bordjes, glazen , frigo, etc vindt. Altijd praktisch voor een aperitief 's avonds. In de ontbijtruimte kan je ook gewoon rustig en in gezelschap zitten. Heel vriendelijke gastvrouw die je een pak informatie geeft nog voor je er verblijft en natuurlijk ook verder tijdens je verblijf. Kortom : aanrader!
