Alkyonis Apartments

Abbiamo trascorso 2 settimane in questa struttura e siamo riusciti a raggiungere a piedi le principali arterie stradali e gli snodi dei trasporti, un grande negozio di alimentari, ristoranti, bar e spiagge. Il personale era amichevole e utile. Le sistemazioni erano pulite e adatte alle nostre esigenze. Mio marito ed io abbiamo viaggiato con nostro figlio di 12 anni. La nostra unità era fantastica per la nostra famiglia. Altamente raccomandato!

We stayed for a little more than a week. Some of our days there were funded by the social tourism programme. Upon arrival, we met with the owner who led us to our room. The following day, she informed us of an optional daily fee for the use of air conditioning and cleaning services. Note that this wasnt mentioned to us beforehand. The cost of the fee was 7 euros a day except for the 3 days we paid for in full. A ceiling fan was available in the room and there was an option for a ground one as well but Kalymnos is HOT. The fee had to be paid. Now, social tourism doesn't mention such a fee in its terms but that remains to be resolved. The room was extremely clean when we got there but, in our 9-day stay there, the room was ''cleaned'' only once and by cleaned i mean the towels and trash bag were changed and the sink and shower were scrubbed with a sponge. The floors were naturally dirty as they would be due to beach sand, water escaping the shower walls etc but the owner simply ignored all that even though they would be getting their money in full by the social tourism programme. During the first few days, the owner would constantly remind us that we have the a/c on or that the weather isnt actually that bad and a fan would be just enough as if they weren't receiving payment for a/c usage. We went there to relax, not to have a permanent scolding for the rightful usage of what we payed for. Annoying and rude. One thing we didn't know this apartment building offered was late-night safari. What i mean is, it would be around 2am when the distinct sound of roach legs moving across the stove exterior would be heard. I alone killed 3 roaches with an almost empty bottle of bug killer that was provided by the owner. Also, we found a dead roach inside a drawer, informed the owner, the roach is probably still there enjoying its life after death. On the bright side, the view was wonderful, the neighboring cats were a delight, the price was low (why would that be eh?) and the room was equipped with all the utensils and cooking devices necessary. Definitely won't be staying there again unless i magically turn into a foreigner where in that case i'll be treated like royalty.

Το δωματιο ηταν σκοτεινό,τα παραθυρα ηταν τοσο ψηλα που δε τα φταναμε.Δεν αεριζόταν καθολου ο χωρος,ουτε το μπανιο.Στο μπάνιο ο εξαερισμός (επειδή είναι τυφλό δωμάτιο,εσωτερικό)λειτουργουσε μόνο για 2-3',ισα να κάνουμε την αναγκη μας! Αν καναμε μπανιο,οι υδρατμοι εμεναν μεσα στο χωρο.Πίσω απο το έπιπλο που λειτουργεί ώς ντουλάπι κατω απο το νεροχυτη και φιλοξενει και το ψυγειο,σχεδον ολες τις μερες μας εβγαιναν κατσαριδες.Βρήκα μια στο συρταρι κατω απο το διπλο κρεβατι που κοιμομουν εγώ.Απο καθαριοτητα...μειναμε 8-9 μέρες,μπηκε ΜΟΝΟ μια φορά και καθαρισε ισα τη λεκανη,το ντουζ και ισως το νιπτηρα με λιγη χλωρινη.Ουτε σκουπισε,ουτε σφουγγαρισε το χωρο,τα σεντονια δεν αλλαχτηκαν ολο το διαστημα που μειναμε.Μονο πετσετες ΜΙΑ ΦΟΡΑ!ΧΩΡΙΣ ΠΡΟΤΕΡΗ ΕΝΗΜΕΡΩΣΗ χρεωσε τη χρηση του κλιματιστικου και την ΑΝΥΠΑΡΚΤΗ καθαριοτητα με 7€ ανα ημέρα για τις μερες που μειναμε με τον κοινωνικο τουρισμο,κατι για το οποιο θα κινηθώ αναλογα.Πριν φυγω,εξοφλησα τα χρηματα στο επακρο (τα 7€x6 μέρες=42 €)τις διανυκτερευσεις (6 με τον κοινωνικο τουρισμό και 3 με κανονικη χρεωση)τις ειχα προεξοφλήσει ΠΡΟΤΟΥ φτασω καν στο νησί.Και με πηρε τηλεφωνο ενω ειχε μόλις φύγει το καραβι απο το νησι ,για να ρωτησει αν οντως της ειχα βαλει τα χρηματα.Εκνευριστηκα και της εστειλα την αποδειξη απο την εφαρμογη που εχω στο κινητό και εστειλε μηνυμα που ζητουσε ''συγνώμη''...Συνεχεια εκανε παρατηρησεις για τη χρηση του κλιματιστικου,μα το δωματιο ηταν αποπνικτικο!! Δε γινοταν να εχουμε φρεσκο αερα με αλλο τροπο!!Δεν προκειται να ξαναπατησω στο συγκεκριμενο καταλυμα!
