Fleur Noire Hotel

We had a fantastic time at Fleur Noire this past March. Located in the north of Palm Springs at the southwest corner the intersection of N Indian Canyon Drive and E Vista Chino. It was but a short drive down Canyon Drive to downtown Palm Springs. It was a longer drive to the Indian Wells Tennis Center; watching the BNP Paribas tennis tournament was one of the reasons for our visit to Palm Springs. A sensor-operated sliding gate controlled entry to the parking lot. There were just enough parking slots for the guests; when we got back late after a night session the tennis tournament there was just one slot left for us. Entry to the hotel grounds proper required a Fleur Noire is a boutique hotel with a whimsical mix of architectural and interior design. Bungalows and casitas are arranged around a couple of courtyards. The larger courtyard features the pool and clubhouse. The rosé and champagne bar, La Boisson, opens into the alley connecting the two courtyards. The casitas and bungalows have Spanish-style red tile roofs. We booked a suite which was generally spacious as implied. There was a small kitchen with a 2-person breakfast table. The Frigidaire was useful to keep water and fruit chilly. The furniture was mid-20th Century in design. We appreciated the quirky flamingo and peacock lamp stands. There was no central A/C, a standalone unit cooled the room. The bedroom was roomy. There was built-in closet with two long clothing hanging rods; there was definitely enough room to hang clothes. The bed was comfy and we slept well. Traffic noise did not seem to penetrate through to our casita. The bathroom, however, was a little disappointing. It was small. The shower stall Shower curtains did not overlap enough to prevent water from spraying out onto the floor. The water pressure and hot water were adequate. Breakfast was a self-serve affair. Brewed coffee, croissants, milk, cereal, fresh fruit was available in a small kitchen just off the clubhouse. We would have breakfast outside, sitting by a fire pit when it got a little chilly. We would have either a sundowner / nightcap of rose or beer outside as well, relaxing in the calm of our surroundings. The clubhouse had books and games available. The staff would arrange the free bike rentals, something we saw other guests make use of. We did not take advantage of the pool. The water did feel warm to the touch. Many of our fellow guests did relax in the loungers surrounding the pool. There were not kids; this was an adults-only establishment, guests having to be 21 and older. The grounds lived up to the pictures. Large floral wall murals adorned just about every building. Fire pits provided oases of warmth in the cool desert nights. There were different cacti, yucca, Mexican palm and Palo verde trees planted around the grounds. The Palo verde has a unique adaptation to life in the desert; it will shed its leaves in times of drought but the green branches and trunk are able to carry on with

七年前住過十幾天,印象深刻,棕櫚泉入住首選,房間寬敞舒適,性價比極高,這次如果不是棕櫚泉這幾天近50的超高温,我是很想多住幾天的。

My husband, my daughter and I and my son and his wife all stayed at this hotel for a couple of days in September(2024). One of us have a two bedroom two bathroom suite and the other one had a two bedroom one bathroom suite. The rooms were pretty identical in that all bedrooms had king size beds, huge sitting area and full kitchens with the exception of a microwave, but there was a toaster oven. The bathrooms were generous sizes and had all the amenities you needed. The towels were really soft fluffy and comfortable and the beds were also very comfortable. Both rooms came with snacks and drinks ( regular and alcoholic) that you could purchase as well and we also had a balcony that was a nice size. When we were there the hotel was not that busy so we had the pool almost to ourselves and the water temperature was nice. There was a restaurant on site you could go to for lunch and dinner and purchase snacks and alcohol from as well to eat at the pool. The hotel was very modern looking inside the rooms. The only strange thing was the mirrors in the two bathrooms in the suite that had two bedrooms and two bathrooms - they were bizarre. Whoever designed them definitely was not female because it was a mirror completely speckled everywhere in black paint so while the lighting in the bathrooms was great, and the bathroom size was great the mirror was tiny, and it was hard to put make them on because of all the black specks of paint in the mirror. Funny enough in the two bedroom one bathroom unit the bathroom had a normal mirror. My suggestion to this hotel would be to replace those strange mirrors in the units that had them in the bathrooms. Otherwise, our stay was perfect.

La posizione è ambigua e non ci sono molte strutture intorno e è un po' vecchia La stanza è buona e il servizio è buono. Il parcheggio è all'aperto. Non è buono ottenere 9 dollari per il parcheggio. Ma il prezzo è buono per una notte a un prezzo ragionevole. Volentieri di rimanere di nuovo sulla vostra prossima visita.

The Cole

I booked this place after deciding last-minute to extend my PS stay by 4 days. Unfortunately, the other hotel I was at could only accomodate me for two nights, so I decided to try The Cole. Just up the street, and I love checking out the boutique/mid mod kitchy hotels in PS. Booked two nights. Granted I checked in mid week, but I did not see a single SOUL for 24 hours, guest-wise, other than myself. Check-in was contactless, by text, but when I showed up, my code didn't work. Texted Shantelle, the manager, and she discovered it was unplugged (?). Requested an early check-in, but the room I reserved wasn't ready till 4pm. They offered me a different room, similar, which was ready at the time I checked, which was around 1230pm, which was great. They waived my early check-in for flexing with the room change, but they do chart you for parking (there is barey anyone in their lot, so I found that odd). And with a hotel like this, why are you charging at all??? The room was LOVELY! Nice midmod decor, with a mini fridge, Pod coffee maker, nice rain head shower, all nice; but would have loved to have a larger fridge. Bed was comfy, SOFT sheets! Slept great. They do try to pull of the pool party vibe with pool side music and a bar, but the bar wasn't open when I was there. (or if it was, didn't seem like it). The pool and hot tub look great, but the pool definitely needed cleaned. I took a dip a few times, but the grime around the edges turned me off. Lots of pool-side loungers and cabanas. Despite being mid-week, I expected more people there. The vibe was a bit off. There is a 5-star restaurant, Freddies there, but limited hours, and they only provided a 'sample menu'. For guests that check in, I would expect the day of to give me a menu of what would be available. Since they did not, I ordered food delivery. 5 star restaurant-gotta publish that menu! While the mgr was responsive to texts, aside from the rooms, I felt that the place was really lacking with pool attention and communication. Texts work great, but I felt I was bothering them. The rooms had cheap cups, limited other amenities ie, shampoo/cond/shower gel was bulk...no personal touches. My curtains were not working. Falling off. Dated. Do tab curtains! The place has A LOT of potential to be a really funky, mid mod PS vibed place. I felt it a little, but it just needs some more TLC, especially with the pool. It's further north than downtown PS, which can be a perk, but also a minus. Which means the pool area needs to be vibing! I did not see that. Would I stay again? Likely not. Many other good choices in PS.
