Rooms are very comfortable with great views of the sea. The staff are extremely helpful, particularly the restaurant staff who prepared for us amazing vegetarian food. The location is ideal for safari being close to the entrance gate. Would recommend.

My wife and I recently stayed one night at the Laya Safari hotel. I do not recommend this hotel at all. In no particular order here’s what we experienced: 1) bad odor in the room, 2) stains in the shower, 3) lots of insects on the ceiling, 4) a patio back door that would not lock and had to be repaired at night while the door was left open, 4) two lizards that entered the room when the door was left open and began to crawl across the ceiling, 5) food in the restaurant was rather poor quality, 6) road conditions to the hotel were quite rough. On the positive side, staff were very polite and cordial. But all in all, stay away from this hotel.

Very serene, beautiful and peaceful place. Staff is very punctual and cooperative. Food was good. 100 % Recommend. A must visit place if you visiting Srilanka. Our whole experience was just wonderful. The Yala safari national park is very close by. Spotted few animal friends outside the room in the morning.. was amazing

The property doesn’t match the photos. It is over priced for what you get. Our driver wouldn’t even stay in the drivers accommodation as it was dirty. You can’t swim at the beach. Their beach bar doesn’t open till 7:30pm and you have missed the sunset. The property needs a lot of love. The shower head was damaged and needed replacing. The food in the Restraunt was slow to arrive and only average basically flavourless. The staff however were amazing. They were young and friendly and all had a smile. My time over I would have stayed in a home stay.

First and foremost, the General Manager and Front Office Manager were exceptional in ensuring that every guest felt welcome and taken care of. The level of professionalism and attentiveness they displayed was truly outstanding. They went above and beyond to accommodate my requests and make sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The Front Office Manager in particular was very helpful, providing me with detailed information about the various activities on offer and even offering personalized recommendations based on my interests. Speaking of activities, Laya Safari offers a fantastic range of exciting experiences, and I was fortunate enough to enjoy some of the best during my visit. The horse riding experience was one of the highlights of my trip. Riding along the stunning coastline and through the picturesque surroundings was truly a magical experience. The horses were well-trained, and the staff ensured that we were safe and comfortable throughout the ride. I highly recommend this activity to anyone looking to immerse themselves in nature and enjoy the serene beauty of the area. Another thrilling activity I had the pleasure of trying was the ATV rides. For those seeking a bit more adrenaline, this is an absolute must-do! The ATV tracks took us through some exciting terrains, and the ride was both fun and exhilarating. It was a great way to explore the area from a different perspective, and the guides were fantastic, ensuring that we had a safe and enjoyable time. As for the Yala Safari, it was a truly memorable experience. I’ve always wanted to visit Yala National Park, and Laya Safari made it even more special. The safari tour was expertly organized, with knowledgeable guides who were passionate about the wildlife and provided insightful information about the animals we encountered. We were lucky enough to see elephants, leopards, and a variety of other animals in their natural habitat. The entire experience was both educational and awe-inspiring. In addition to the exciting activities, the beach at Laya Safari is another reason to visit. The pristine, untouched beach offers a perfect setting to relax and unwind. Whether you prefer lounging in the sun, taking a peaceful swim, or simply walking along the shore, the beach is the ideal spot to do so. I spent many quiet moments here, enjoying the natural beauty of the surroundings. Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely fantastic! Every meal I had was a delight. The hotel offers a wide range of dining options, from buffet breakfasts to gourmet dinners. The meals are expertly prepared with fresh ingredients, and the flavors are incredible. The room service

Wonderful architectural design very close to the main entrance of Yala National Park. Yala National Park has the most density of Leopards in the world. The hotel is facing the Indian ocean.. Unfortunately this place is not recommended for swimming or any kind of water activity. Enjoy a stay with ur families and friends..
