The Sands Hotel

Excellent location...parking on site... friendly, helpful staff... Excellent clean room..... I have mobility issues, and we were given the twin on ground floor, so great for me. The bed was lovely and comfortable, all the facilities Inc personal toiletries , tea, coffee were available, immaculately clean, we loved our stay, and will most definitely be back again. One tiny thing I could add please, would be addition of Decaff tea/coffee, hot chocolate. Otherwise perfect weekend, thankyou to all at The Sands.

Right on the sea front and not far from the shops, harbour & Paignton railway station for the steam train to Dartmouth. Parking worked out ok for me, however if you wish to have an early day out, you can get blocked in on the hotel's rear carpark. The room was clean. Slept well. The staff were very friendly. Competitive price. Stayed 7 nights. Had a very nice relaxing holiday. I would stay here again.

4th stay at The Sands! Love this place so much. The hosts are so friendly and helpful. Breakfast is perfect every time. Rooms are clean and comfortable with amazing views over the sea. Plenty of supplies of tea and coffee! Going back in July ❤️

This was the second time that we stayed at the Sands, smashing hosts and lovely clean room. Very helpful and friendly. Nice view from the room and nice breakfast to start the day. Close to local amenities and parking on site. We will definitely be returning.

Stayed here whilst attending a wedding Great location sea views Squeaky Clean hotel Comfortable mattress Friendly hosts Lovely sea side hotel with a nice feel to it Will be back ! Only thing I feel could be improved is thicker duvets but that’s a personal preference

BED BUGS!! All seemed fine at first, we was here for 2 weeks. Towards the end of the first week my partner started to get covered in bites we assumed at the time this was perhaps mosquitoes as we had to sleep with the window open due to it being very warm in the room. The second week myself and my little boy then started to come up in bites. Two days before the end of the holiday at this point we are all completely covered in bites still not thinking these could possibly be bed bug bites after spending £1700 for a room only stay!! As soon as we all returned home I went to the pharmacist who advised they were bed bug bites!! We now have to come home and fumigate the house incase they have got into our luggage which Is not what you need after you have been on holiday! I have contacted the b&b who have not even acknowledged my email or apologised. We have then contacted *********** who advised this is not the first report that has been made in regards to something like this. *********** have called the sands who advised they have seen the email but have not responded as we didn’t mention anything about it when we stayed and would not be compensating or apologising. If anyone knows anything about bed bugs the bites don’t appear on your skin straight away it can take up to 1 week for them to show hence why nothing was mentioned and we are covered even more since returning home! Do not stay here avoid at all cost!
