Cherwood Guest House

"Abbiamo ritornato questo fine settimana a Cherwood Guest House dopo aver soggiornato qui nel settembre 2024. E 'stato bello vedere Jo e Martin di nuovo e soggiornare nella loro bella Guest House. Abbiamo soggiornato nella camera 7 al di sopra della casa e è stato molto spazioso e molto pulito. La colazione era meravigliosa con cereali e frutta con iogurt e una scelta di inglese pieno cucinato. Le uova di cottura erano meravigliose. Abbiamo celebrato il nostro anniversario di nozze durante il fine settimana e abbiamo un bel pasto a Harbour Light. Siamo sicuramente tornati a questo grande alloggio, che è a soli 5 minuti dal mare."

The Queens Hotel

"Il Queens Hotel ha avuto un bel tempo. Anche se la decorazione è un po' data, la nostra camera e le aree comuni erano pulite e tempeste. La vasca era buona, con una bella doccia calda. La camera familiare aveva due letti singoli confortevoli e un grande tavolo di stoccaggio per la valigia. La posizione era eccellente, una passeggiata molto breve alla spiaggia. Il personale era amichevole e felice di aiutare."

"A well appointed hotel with a friendly approach to visitors. The owners are knowledgeable about the area and have good suggestions about where to go. Out of the main town but within easy walking distance it is away from hustle and bustle. Nothing was too much trouble!"

"Honestly I do not recommend this place at all. The entire experience scared me to the point where I had a nightmare about it. As soon as you walk in it’s like a child’s paradise, how this place is advertised for couples is actually beyond me. The room we were offered was tiny, Vernon said we weren’t welcome to stay on the Saturday, so we booked somewhere else and he’s refused to give us back the £160 we paid (even though he was flaunting that he’s a millionaire and doesn’t need anyone’s money). Just a really sketchy experience."

"Ottimo soggiorno alla Casa degli ospiti Barclay per il fine settimana dell'Air Show. Amiamo la nostra camera - tranquilla, pulita e spaziosa. Il letto era comodo. Il ventilatore era fornito per il tempo caldo. Una bella quantità di tè e caffè. Camminare facilmente dalla stazione ferroviaria e vicino al mare. I proprietari sono davvero amichevoli. È fantastico!!"

"Second visit here since James and Christine took over. It's great. It's clean, well organised and really comfortable. Recommend James' breakfasts. It's nice to feel really well looked after, and it's great value. Also - 2 minutes from the lovely Preston Sands, slightly less busy than Paignton main seafront, and great for a paddle in the evening when the heat has gone!"
