Not all bad but if you're hoping to enjoy the spa I'd advise you to go elsewhere. Small. Grimy, sweaty. Not a member of staff in sight. Had to wait for a club member to let me in then when I realised there were no spa towels I had to return to reception to get one. Didn't actually use it as looking at the other spa facilities - or should I say lack of them, I didn't bother. The ridiculously over heated pool had no shower.nthere was ONE down stairs in a cubby hole next to the steam room. I didn't fancy swimming in a dirty pool any more than I fancied the cupboard sized steam room that was so chlorinated people came out crying. On the positive side, room was big enough, nice sea view, comfy bed. Room could have been cleaner though. Cobwebs in the bathroom. We booked a dinner b&b. It was an ok dinner, nothing special but restaurant staff good and a hearty well cooked breakfast. Would I go again? Maybe when I'm 90.

First off I would like to thank Jason Parry for changing our booking that was made through a third party when my husband was rushed to hospital the day before our visit. A couple of weeks later than we planned we stayed for three nights. What a fabulous location, near to all the attractions, bars and restaurants with a fabulous view of the coast from Torquay to Brixham. Check in was quick and friendly and we were allocated room 319 a premium room overlooking the front. The room was large clean, comfortable with good air con (a little noisy). Great to have a safe to store our keys etc. breakfast was excellent with a good choice of hot and cold items - sausage and bacon were very tasty. We are early risers so it was quiet when we went down. All the staff that we had contact with ate a credit to themselves and the brand - so friendly and helpful and we had lots of hints and tips to make the most of our trip. We didn’t have an evening meal at the hotel but we did have some late evening drinks which were reasonably priced. We had a fabulous couple of days and recommend the zoo via bus 22 for all ages. We will be back

Stayed as part of a coach party. Hotels catering for coach parties, 3 coaches in on my visit, sometimes fail to deliver. Whilst on arrival it took almost 40 minutes for keys to be issued and luggage delivered to my room, considering the limited number of staff available and another coach had just arrived, it was acceptable, complimentary tea and coffee on offer. My room a twin, had everthing I needed although would probably be on the small side if two people were staying. The bathroom was functional if compact but the shower was terrific, plenty of hot water. A large TV and ample storage space. The evening Meal was exceptional, no pre ordering here, everything brought to your table, Each coach party was allocated a slot,although as the week progressed this was very flexible. The restaurant manager was 5 star, never seen anybody deal with service, staff, customers like that, well done. Breakfast was equally slick, all you had to do was ask and tea coffee toast jams would appear. No cold food here. The entertainment started with Bingo followed by the nights guest, again all very good. Any niggles, lift was small and at busy times overstretched, the building is old and corridors reflect this. Overall this was a 5 star experience in a 3 star hotel.

Vengo come un viaggiatore solitario per trovare una pace. La mia camera unica è stata migliorata e immacolata. Il letto era così comodo e la dimensione della camera era eccellente. L'intera decorazione dell'hotel era così invitante e tranquillo. Mio marito si unì a me, che non era un problema che apprezzo sinceramente; il cibo era un ottimo standard e una vasta scelta era disponibile; non ho usato il servizio bar, ma l’area sembrava così rilassante come l’area del giardino. I nostri ospiti erano molto amici e si sono spinti oltre e oltre le mie aspettative. Non potevo fallire l'hotel e consiglierei ai miei amici e alla mia famiglia.

We’ve stayed in this hotel quite a few times, this was our first stay since its recent refurbishment. The restaurant has been completely updated and looks lovely, the other communal areas don’t appear to have been touched. There’s been a lick of paint in the rooms to bring it up to date with the latest colour scheme and there was a new chair which was comfy. The new pillows are very good too. This was probably our worst stay out of around 10 in the last few years. There was black mold on the fake grout on the fake tiles in the bathroom. It’s literally a plastic panel so this would wipe off with a cloth so it can’t have even had a minimal wipe for some time. For a room that’s been refurbished it’s strange that the carpet had gaps in it. Also this was the loudest the hotel has ever been, a room that we couldn’t identify that wasn’t on our floor was playing loud music until after 11pm and then we were awoken by someone trying our door and claiming that their key didn’t work.

This was our second visit to the Redcliffe Hotel this summer. We agree that some of the rooms are dated although this visit we stayed in room 67 which was just by the lift which for us was a bonus as I have a bad foot, the decor as well as the large bathroom and balcony with sea view was a lovely surprise. This hotel has the most friendliest of staff. The indoor swimming pool along with jacuzzi and steam room are super (my husband used these both days). We dined in the hotel both evenings, first evening from the bar menu which was delicious and the second evening decided to go a little more formal and eat in the restaurant, this was a set menu and for £30 a head was great value. The hotel was lovely and warm considering it’s a large older hotel. Its position is perfect looking over the sea, what could be better the restaurant view is beautiful. Parking is free and we had no problem in finding a space on both visits.
