Hotel in zona Oh Curio, Oxford

Prima di tutto: non prenotate qui, in nessun caso, una stanza. Prenotati un sabato e un domenica per la trentina di un amico. Check-in e sballo, poi un altro coppia apparve per la stessa stanza. Se l'hotel non ci ha detto niente, ci ha cancellato la nostra stanza, ma, soprattutto, dopo averci pagato, ci ha costretto a lasciare il nostro evento, tornare, raccogliere tutto il nostro materiale e andare fuori, (o “vogliamo prendere le tue cose e gettarle fuori sulla strada”). Il manager sul telefono non poteva spiegare cosa fosse successo, non poteva accedere al sistema di back-end, e alla fine ha deciso che era colpa nostra che avessimo malinquadrato un indirizzo email (errore alla fine, ma abbiamo avuto contatto con il testo durante la settimana precedente e non si erano preoccupati di dirci che non avevamo più una prenotazione), e poi più tardi che non avevamo cliccato “confirmare” su un email che non abbiamo mai ricevuto. Nota laterale: ho lavorato negli hotel per anni; questa spiegazione è assurda; e anche se non fosse - se pensavi che avremmo cancellato, perché ci hai ancora prelevato la cabina? Credo che questo sia ciò che accade quando non hai davvero personale nelle stanze per risolvere i problemi. Dopo aver prenotato e pagato per una stanza mesi fa, siamo stati lasciati in mezzo a Oxford senza dove stare. rimborsato. Meno un appaltatore che si sono tenuti a pagare per “la commissione di amministrazione della società di gestione giornaliera” - ancora una volta, ho lavorato nell'industria, sappiamo tutti che questo è assurdo, Eviivo OBBLIGABILE non accadere commissioni di amministrazione per e-mail, Ma immagino che si siano impegnati a fare un'ulteriore 10 sterline per tutto il loro duro lavoro nel non ospitarci. Solo un comportamento molto piccolo in tutto il mondo. E' una vergogna perché la stanza stessa sembrava bella, ma consiglierei che si prenoti questo posto solo se ti senti bene con non è stato effettivamente consentito di rimanere in esso.

Room #904. Parking was provided (limited availability, but no problem if you check in early). Nice room, but noisy bunch of young people partying below us that evening and night, but I appreciate that can't be helped while the May VIII's are racing on the river (Bumps). We had some friends join us for supper in ”Keepers' restaurant and bar and were repeatedly hurried by the waitress to get our order in before 8:40pm ”because 9pm is when the chef goes home”. Well it didn't need a 'chef' truly, but the food was acceptable and reasonably priced at £120 for 4 including drinks. No chance of pud though, unless you had ordered it before the watershed. We had bought our own birthday cake, so we had that instead. I can't think of any other European countries where this would happen... We asked if we could leave our car in situ for a few hours after we checked out the following morning and we were accommodated with grace, which was very kind. A well-situated establishment, we paid £150 for the night for a double room in the new block.

La posizione è molto conveniente, non lontano da dove andare.C'è un supermercato di ristorante fuori.L'hotel è piccolo e delicato, la porta è molto piccola, e non c'è attenzione.La reception è al terzo piano, e sono entusiasta.

Molto molto fondamentale. Molto poco cura in generale. La stanza era ok, ma piccola e stufata. Decorazione scendeva . Corridori crampi e sbattuti. Desk era senza equipaggio, doveva bussare per ottenere il personale lungo la strada dal loro “sorella” hotel. Sembravano disinteressati. Little local knowledge. Wall paper thin. Quando sono andato via la mattina, sono andato in un sito di costruzione - tutta la sezione, compresa la porta anteriore, era stata tagliata fuori dai lavoratori - che mi hanno urlato per non aver indossato un cappello duro 😂 sarebbe stato bello ottenere una testa dall'hotel questo era sono stati fatti. È stato economico, ma non rimarrò più.

Durante le vacanze estivi, i prezzi sono sconsigliati, le camere sono tutte di dimensioni uniformi e i prezzi del paesaggio sono diversi.L'igiene pulita non è grande, ma pratico.Per vedere il prezzo di settembre è abbastanza costoso, ci vuole 3K. E'molto vicino al centro commerciale di Oxford Siemen, tutti i tipi di cibo sono molto conveniente, e camminare fino a Oxford college è molto conveniente. Il colazione dell'hotel è molto buono. Oltre a tutti i tipi di cibo che viene messo, è possibile chiedere al cameriere dei pezzi d'ovulo omelet e altri. Il sapore è migliore di quello della serie Hilton.Vanha prodotto, il livello è sicuro.

Hotel situato in buona posizione, il palazzo si presenta bene all’esterno mostrando un carattere storico. Gli spazi comuni all’interno (hall, scale, ascensore, corridoi) sono poco illuminati, con arredamento troppo scuro, pesante e vetusto (non antico!). La stanza era piccola e certamente non all’altezza degli standard di un 5 stelle: moquette macchiata, muri sporchi e rovinati, lenzuola e copriletto non stirati, gli infissi in legno delle finestre erano scrostati e rovinati, il bagno troppo piccolo sebbene pulito e funzionale. Perfino la porta di ingresso alla stanza era storta, così come il pavimento e la porta dell’armadio. La vista della camera affacciava su un cortile interno maltenuto. A ciò si aggiunge la mancanza di cura dei dettagli, altro requisito essenziale di un hotel a 5 stelle. Unica caratteristica in linea con un hotel 5 stelle è il prezzo. In definitiva, questo non è per niente un hotel 5 stelle, chi cerca tale tipologia di hotel deve dirigersi altrove; questo hotel può andare bene a chi cerca un hotel 3 stelle, spartano e senza pretese ma con un prezzo assai elevato per ciò che offre. Voto: 3/10

Questo Oxford Express Hotel è simile al Motel 168 e all'Home Inn di Shanghai. Le camere sono compatte, piccole e raffinate per quanto riguarda gli standard. È comunque ottimo per viaggi d'affari. È sicuro, pulito e ordinato. È a 40 minuti a piedi da Oxford City. Se non vuoi andare, c'è una fermata dell'autobus di fronte all'hotel per 2 sterline. Il prezzo di partenza è una corsa in taxi dalla stazione ferroviaria e dalla stazione degli autobus. Ci sono molti centri commerciali e hotel tra cui scegliere. L'unica cosa è che i prezzi sono un po' come le montagne russe. Il prezzo è di una camera al giorno, da 680 yuan a notte a 295 yuan solo un giorno in mezzo!

Hotel staff polite and courteous. Rooms clean and spacious, lovely fresh smell as we went into room. Location perfect, nice walk to Oxford City Centre or plenty of opportunity to take a bus from nearby stop. Breakfast delicious with plenty of variety to cater for everyone. Meals in restaurant absolutely delicious. I would thoroughly recommend a stay in this hotel. This was our second stay

Looking at previous reviews of this hotel, I can only think that our experience here was an unusual one but we were quite disappointed with our stay. Our room (3) was tiny (in hindsight we should have booked a more expensive one), and was uncomfortably small for two people with nowhere to put bags down or hang up clothes apart from a few hangers on coat hooks. The lighting was poor and it had a very rattly industrial fire door into the bathroom, which seemed amusing at first, but wasn’t quite so funny in the middle of the night when it clanged shut if you let it go! In fairness, other rooms on the websight looked gorgeous, I wish we’d booked one of those! Not the hotel’s fault, we just expected our room to be better for the price. Also disappointing was that the food on both nights was below average with limited menu choice and lots of dishes being unavailable.. This was a shame because it was my birthday ‘treat’ but fell far short of what we expected from a so called ‘luxury’ hotel. I can only think they were having a couple of off days and we were just unlucky. On a positive note, it’s a very eclectic place, decor is rustic, bordering on scruffy but still interesting, the staff are very friendly and the bar and restaurant have a warm and welcoming atmosphere, but when we were there the poor staff were run off their feet which resulted in patchy service and difficulty reserving a table, However, despite the problems the staff were very nice people especially the bar manager who tried her best to make up for the various menu shortfalls and discounted our drinks and food bill as an apology, which we very much aporeciated, but sadly I still don’t look back on our stay and feel that it was all that great, not really as special as we hoped it would be given all the hype. Based on our experience I wouldn’t recommend it or go again.

This is 2nd time we stayed in this trip. The aircond noise non stop and we feed back the 1st time when we were there. But I guess they can’t do anything … if you are light sleeper. Stay away 😀😪
