Built in 1895, Château la Motte is located in Woodstock, Ontario. This historic guest house boasts unique interior decor, replete with decorative fireplaces, curved tower windows, crafted plaster mouldings, ornate woodwork and hand-painted designs. Antique furnishings and art can be seen throughout the library, dining room, halls and guest rooms.
Each guest room is equipped with a modern en-suite bathroom. In-room amenities include free WiFi, a flat-screen TV, free toiletries and a hairdryer. A hot breakfast is served each morning in the grand dining room overlooking Vansittart Avenue.
Guests have access to the entire ground floor of the house, including a comfortable sitting room, library, solarium and large kitchen with built-in appliances. The kitchen has a separate guest fridge with complimentary soft drinks, still and sparkling water, coffee and a selection of teas and snacks. Guests are welcome to use the laundry room as needed.
In addition, you can enjoy the private gardens and the curved verandah at the front of the house, as well as the deck at the back. Bicycles are available for guests looking to explore the local area.

This is a grand home (mansion!) with stunning architecture throughout, as well as, pristine and spotless. Alida was very warm and hospitable, showing us the whole house and giving us its' historical significance which made our stay even richer. Breakfast was lovely. Would highly recommend this place to anyone!

My fiancee and myself stayed here. It was the first time we had gone to a bed and breakfast and I can say it won't be our last. Alida was so nice, friendly and very helpful. The accommodations were immaculate. The bed was super comfortable and we had a great view from our private balcony. We were unable to attend breakfast, so Alida made a little to go box of her blueberry muffins, they were absolutely outstanding. If you go any place to stay in Woodstock, I totally recommend this.
