The Everline Resort and Spa

Olympic Valley|1.52km dal centro città
I was torn on how to rate our stay at this resort. First of all, resort is GORGEOUS and I bet is a great place to be when it is in season; however, our experience staying here the week after Memorial Day was very disappointing since none of the resort activities were available (summer or winter or even the typical daily activities you would expect a resort to have). The amenities was a large reason why we chose to stay at this resort with our two teenage boys so not having these available to us, in addition to having to pay a daily resort fee (for what?) was a huge let down. We found the resort a complete ghost town and unbelievably boring so we never wanted to be there. It's our first time to Tahoe so we did not realize this time of year is off season to the point that NOTHING would be open/ available. I do not think it is right to charge a resort fee with no available amenities. We of course knew winter activities would not be available and unfortunately, to no fault of the resort, a heavy winter of snow interfered with trails around resort being inaccessible for hiking and golf course not being open due to puddles of water. We were very disappointed however, to learn that fly fishing, tennis, archery, a lobby bar or lobby activities, or any of the other advertised amenities would not be available or open either. There is no snow on tennis courts and not sure why fly fishing or archery could not be available. The only thing available is biking, but they do not have e-bikes in their flight yet, so we chose to e-bike with a different company. Apparently, there is a stocked fishing pond, but no fishing gear to rent to even use it, so in essence, another a amenity not available. Oh, and also, all of the resort stores are closed, so no shopping available either. 2 dinner restaurants and 1 breakfast restaurant is open, not the 6 as advertised. We pass by maybe 1 or 2 guests a day, the rest of the resort is completely empty. There is no vibe and so strange to go into a hot tub between 6-8pm every night and not even see another soul at the pool or walking around or even dining at the restaurant. This may be just the time of year, but we just find it very odd. Also, only one out of three of the hot tubs have jets that work. The hot tub with a working jet has a much hotter temperature than the other two tubs. The pool has been filthy two of the evenings we were there with a scummy surface and no jets running. The resort itself is clean and very very beautiful. It’s just sad they remain open this time of year and charge resort fees when clearly, nothing is available or open to the limited guests who stay here. We were hoping to have a day or two just to relax and spend at the resort doing resort activities, so not having options available, really threw a wrench in our plans and created for a very boring experience at this resort. Our teenage boys were completely bored, and so were we. I understand resort is under new management. Some suggestions would

PlumpJack Inn

Olympic Valley|0.12km dal centro città
The two of us had a relaxing two night stay at Plumpjack Inn at Olympic/Squaw Valley, North Lake Tahoe Resort mid-July. We also dined at the Cafe. A relatively quiet time, given it is off ski season, but quite a few families, hikers, bicyclists, adventurists. We had reservations for dinner in the quaint and rustic Plumpjack Cafe and Bar on a Monday evening, not too busy, but a few full tables. Not our first time here. On our way to be seated, the host steered us to a large table in the middle of the dining room, while all the window booths, perfect for a twosome, were available. I steered our way to the corner window booth, which looked far more comfortable and bright. Much better for young seniors' comfort and vision the see and read a menu. We started off with the Burrata salad and Poke cones, and a bottle of Layer Cake Rose of Pinot Noir. We thought the Burrata salad would come with some bread or toast and thought they forgot. We asked for a bit of bread, which we received a few tiny slices, finding out after there was an extra charge of $6. The salad was good, but didn't stand out. The poke cones were tasty, but very small. A two-biter. The halibut was very dry. We even overheard the group near us say that the halibut was dry. Meh. We finished with a cherry galette and scoop of house made ice cream. Although we appreciate that our time here was to relax and enjoy our surroundings, which we did, the dining experience was okay, not exceptional like it had been on our prior visits. The prices are somewhat inflated for the quality. Having our room right there was perfect to take the remaining wine back and enjoy. The outside grounds are lovely. Although this time of year, there are loads of mosquitoes, so inside eating much more comfortable. Parking was convenient. The Inn and rooms were nice. Walls were thin and you can hear kids running up and down the halls. Our view from the room was nice looking up to the majestic mountain.

PlumpJack Inn

Olympic Valley|0.52km dal SnoVentures Activity Zone

The Everline Resort and Spa
