I recognise this is a 3 star hotel however, it is really poor on the basics, l really struggled to identify with the positive reviews. This hotel is neglected, dirty and customers are not valued. The entrance to the hotel is cold and clinical, the Reception is ok but dirty. We arrived at about 11:30pm for a weeks holiday in a ‘superior room’; we were advised on check in by JJ that some work was taking place in the room next to ours the following morning, so that we were not disturbed we were put in another non-superior room for one night. This room was dirty, rust and loose wiring in the bathroom and uncomfortable. The following day Reception advised our room supervisor room would be ready after it was cleaned, the guests had just checked out. So it transpired we were lied to, and it also later transpired we were not alone in this experience. Our ‘superior’ room was nicer, but it was not very clean, no top sheet on the bed, no toilet roll. There was a kettle, no cups. The kettle and TV did not work due to an electrical issue, it took 4 days to get fixed, despite daily reminders. The room was cleaned once, poorly, after it was requested. It took an email to the hotel for the issues to be resolved by Omar a hotel manager. He also allowed us to then keep our room for longer on a check out date. The pool area looked lovely, and dinning area was reasonable clean. At no point did l see the pool being cleaned. The food was at times very odd combinations, and repetitive. Salad selection was nice, however, one night one of the dips had gone off and l advised staff who tasted it and promptly removed it. For an all inclusive it is very limited. Most staff were friendly but some clearly did not want to be there. Omar the customer relations person, ignored our issues and just seems to walk about chatting to people he has a rapour with and placating others. There is no information available regarding buses, trips, recommendations. The location is ideal. With some regular cleaning, a menu review, a little more choice, some simple thoughtful details and some customer service care this hotel could be a complete gem. But sadly it’s the opposite.
