This is an honest account of my stay at the Mavruka Hotel. I've been visiting Oludeniz for the past 15 years and have stayed in various hotels ranging from 2 to 5 stars, all of which have been wonderful—until this year. Unfortunately, this hotel has been the worst by far. The only positives are its proximity to the beach and a decent swimming pool. Beyond that, my experience at this hotel, especially with my children, was terrible. On our first day, a piece of the marble slab from the bathroom sink fell off. When I returned to the room and noticed this, I immediately reported it to reception. Instead of addressing the issue, I was accused of causing the damage, even though I had just walked into the room. The receptionist insisted that I pay for the damages, leading me to involve Jet2, who handled the situation brilliantly. Being accused of something I didn’t do was extremely stressful. The hotel staff were generally Miserable and tired, looking which created a negative atmosphere. The owner's daughter, in particular, was very rude and unwelcoming, constantly shouting at the staff. We witnessed her screaming at another guest for taking five towels, even threatening to cancel his reservation despite his full payment. Her behavior was shocking, she was swearing and screaming so loud we heard from our room which was on the top floor; we also had a bad encounter with her. After my daughter fell off the bed and hurt herself, my son went to ask for some ice, only to be refused because the bar needed it for drinks. Despite explaining that it was a head injury, our request was still ignored. When I went down to speak with the barman myself, he showed no concern for my daughter's injury. The owner's daughter found the situation amusing and even laughed in my face when I asked for ice. She refused to provide her name and denied working at the hotel, despite being at the reception every morning. Fortunately, as a nurse, I knew how to care for my daughter, and being Turkish, I knew who to call in case of an emergency. However, the lack of assistance at the hotel is appalling. God forbid if you’re not Turkish or unfamiliar with the area and don’t know who to call in emergency situations as at this hotel none of the staff have first-aid training. Housekeeping only changes the bedsheets every three days, but they charge £10 each if the sheets or towels are stained, which is absurd. We stayed at the hotel for 21 nights, and our room was only cleaned five times, if that. The maids, who were overworked and underpaid, actually quit during our stay due to the treatment they received from the owner's daughter, which was very disheartening. Upon checkout, I was charged 12,500 lira even though my children had burgers and chips 3 or 4 times around the pool during our 21 nights stay, but when I opted to use my card, the charge increased to 13,500 lira. When I asked for an invoice to clarify the charges, I was refused and told that no invoice was available. This h

We have just stayed at mavruka for a week, do not listen to the bad reviews Cleaners everyday good rooms Nice friendly staff Quite area at night but close to the ***** Nice poolside area Only negative is you cannot buy from outside and bring to hotel or your room maybe if they changed that rule, people would be bit happier about staying here . But overall good stay If you like Turkish breakfast will like here Cooked eggs, omelette by chef on side. Would recommend this hotel although I would give this a 2.5/3 star rather than a 4.

Nessil (managers daughter) and her husband run it like a military camp. (Apparently it is her first year in charge) The staff aren't allowed to interact with customers. She is very rude and pulls faces behind customers backs. Weve seen it. She is very unprofessional. We spoken to a few couples, some who have been going there 15 years and wouldn't return with her in charge. We found her the opposite of what a person in charge of a hotel should be like. She wasn't friendly, warm or welcoming. She is going to run this place into the ground! How can you have people who have been coming for 15 years NOT return again. We arrived to breakfast on time (having only arrived at the hotel at 1am) only for 10 mins later at 10.01 to be told it is 1 minute past and werent allowed to use the coffee machine as it was past 10am. Soooo ridiculous and with an attitude. The rooms need an update yes that is true. but that wasn't the main problem. It was her and her husband. The previous person in charge (her father) is meant to be a very good hotel manager but he must have taken a step back. We briefly saw him a couple of times. On the positive, the hotel is clean. The cleaners are very good and nice and friendly! Smiling. (Nessil needs to be more like the cleaners!) She doesn't even have the basics correct. The other staff are also nice. The reception staff are helpful but have admitted they fear for their jobs because of her and how she is and that she isn't any good. (Even your own staff think the same!) The restaurant staff aren't allowed to interact with us and we're pulled numerous times into the kitchen and shouted at by her and her husband. The pool area was clean to be fair. However, the food was not very good and needs to be a lot better. Poor quality. Aswell as the plates and cups chipped or stained. There is also a big sign at reception saying to not bring your own snacks or water into the hotel (maybe drop the price of your own which is triple the supermarket next door) and people may buy your own!! A bit of advice Nessil and husband... lighten up a bit. Be more friendly. After all, you are in the hospitality business!! Be nicer and smile as this will go a long long way with your customers. Otherwise they will continue to use another hotel. This might not mean much now but it will in the long run. Stop being such a pair of "sergeants" your guests have paid a lot of money and are on holiday not a military camp. Fair to say we won't be returning either. (Picture attached - of another hotel we went to - and guess what Nessil... the safe with key already in and a 2nd one digital and fridge were free!) Not 21 quid for the week EACH.

Best hotel in oludeniz, stayed here twice now and will definitely be back. Lovely pool area and spotless, plenty of beds for everyone. Rooms are a good size with comfy bed and powerful hot shower. The hotel staff go out of there way to make your stay a real pleasure. I give this hotel five stars all the way.

Great location, on top of everything you need. Rooms are cool and quiet. Basic but serve a purpose. Pool area nice and quiet. Friendly barmen and waiting staff, happy to help you at all times. Breakfast is OK, but don't expect a fry up- however, what you get is adequate. Would definitely recommend here and would come back. If you like peace and quiet round the pool with some buzzing bars and cafes at night, this is the place to come.

WE stayed here as a family of 4. Me my wife and 2 young children(3.5year and 1.5 year old's). Was abit apprehensive after reading the review but can only go off our stay and we had a good time here. The pool area was perfect for the children with plenty of sunbeds to choose from and was always nice and relaxful. The rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towel provided (although we do know other families who weren’t as lucky as this). Bar staff and reception staff were always friendly with us. Hotel is in a good spot with only couple mins walk to the beach and main ***** where bars/restraunts are. We ate round the pool area once at lunch but didn’t think much of the food so didn’t eat here again we went out. Breakfast was very basic and tended not to have it. Bar prices around the pool area for alcohol seemed to be in line with the prices of bars however water seemed to be dearer so we got our own and brought back (didn’t get questioned). We had a late flight so had the room for the day which costs us £60 which thought was abit steep. (checkout is 12). Note for anyone with young families and prams its all stairs no ramps/lifts in hotel. Overall we was pleased with our holiday and the hotel.

Before I start, I wish I realized that the majority of good and above reviews were friends or acquaintances of the Hotel owners. Just look at the contributions on TA of the ones that have left 4/5 star reviews. Also look at the headlines of these. Most saying ignore the poor reviews. Please do not ignore the poor reviews. The hotel will respond by saying the people that leave one star reviews did not stay there, however they did and we did (see receipts in the photos). The Mavruka Hotel was so incredibly poor. I really don't know where to begin but here's a start; Firstly it's more like a two star at best, definitely not worthy of four star. My son slipping on the wet corridor floor (no signage) and badly twisting his ankle which meant he was unable to partake in the pre-booked activities such as the boat trip and the waterpark. The hotel staff being constantly incredibly rude to my family and I. They also tried to overcharge us upon check out and had to correct the bill without apologizing. They told us they didn't care about our issues and we could go elsewhere. They did not clean the room once during our stay. Our room was so dirty that there were insects and an army of ants (see photos) on the table. The flusher in the boys room was hanging of the wall and the showers were dirty (see pictures). The beds were hard and damp. There was a constant leak in the bathroom with sewage smells lingering. Our air conditioning kept going off in the middle of the night. The noise from the bar over the road could be heard all night long, resulting in lack of sleep. The beds were dirty. The above are just some of the things. The breakfast was poor too and I was told there they weren't making eggs so just ended up having cheese and olives. The coffee machine was out of order so only squash (can not call diluted water juice!) was available. We tried to raise this and all the other issues but the hotel staff were just rude and ran the hotel like a military camp (as many others have said). Not once did they engage in any hospitality and ask how they could help. The alarm bells were there from the second we arrived, when we were greeted with not even a hello or smile and then sent to the basement rooms with no light. We had a terrible time at the hotel but had booked activities in advance so could not leave immediately, otherwise we would have done. However, we did manage to cut short our stay and re-jig the activities. The travel rep was extremely useful as a mediator and he managed to persuade the hotel that the service was not good enough and they had to allow us to leave early. Please look at all the photos as we really don't want anyone to have their holday spoilt like ours was. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have and will answer them very honestly. The only plus point was the pool, which was a good size but does close at 6 which is a shame on long summer evenings. It is close to the ***** and beach but due to the noise and rubbish
