Klettar Tower Iceland

We had 2 rooms for the 4 of us. Rooms were very small. And the bed too. Pricewise we found this accomodation way overprised compared to other spots we stayed. The tower is cool, but the location is not. Top viewing floor is nice. Cant recommend this place

The tower and the rooms there are a piece of art!! We stayed in the 45 fm flat with á litle deck outside and á beutiful liparit rock that is probably the home of an elf queen. She told me to relax when I touched the stone.🙏 We got a toured guide to the tower from the owner Ásgeir who is an amazing carpenter and we met his lovely vife. Everything is so well put togeher. Truly an amazing place. Laxness the horse and his friend also made us welcome. Thank you🥰

Wow, just wow! We looked for somewhere unique and found it. Always been a dream to stay in a lighthouse and I think this was close enough! The check in and check out process was easy, the room is comfortable and well equipped. The stairs can be noisy but being metal on the outside understandable, the wind can also be noisy but again it's part of being in that stunning location. We were fortunate that the roads we all completely clear, there was a lot of ice in the cat park but the winter tyres coped fine. The room at the top of the tower gives amazing views and particularly special for sunsets and sunrises, we were very fortunate to see the northern lights too 😀

Really enjoyed our stay here and got our first glimpse of the northern lights from the parking lot. The viewing room at the top is really unique and fun. The room is comfortable and warm. Would stay here again.

This is one of the most unique and coolest places I have stayed at in my years of international travels. A silo converted into 4 bedrooms and a rooftop lounge - who would have imagined that? There were 7 of us travelling and we were lucky to have the entire tower to ourselves. The bedrooms exceeded my expectation in that they have very modern and hi-tech facilities inside (such as the ceiling ambiance lights that change colours), while keeping a simplistic and clean design. The rooms are well equipped with power outlets; safety equipment like fire extinguisher, fire blanket, smoke detector; a small kitchenette with sink, stove and kitchenware; a tabletop attached to the wall along with 2 chairs; and even a small portable fan. There are drawers under the bed for storage. The bathroom is spacious and has a large wall mirror and heated towel rack. Rooms on upper floors have much stronger water pressure than the ground floor. Lots of natural lights in the rooms. One of the windows is screened to prevent bugs from flying in. We left that window open for air circulation. Biting midges can be an issue at night time during summer. We were lucky we didn't come across these bugs as the temperature was exceptionally cool during our visit, but that screened window would have prevented the issue. Wi-Fi works well. In contrary to other comments I have read, I found the bedroom to be of a decent size; there's enough floor space to open up a suitcase or two - the issue is bringing a full suitcase up the winding staircase to the upper floors. That's why I transferred what I needed for the 1-night stay into my carry on. There are 4 parking spots at the bottom of the tower, clearly marked with each apartment number. The metal staircase that goes around the outside of the tower is non-slip but has open slats. Those who are scared of heights may want to pick the lower floors. The rooftop lounge, with windows all around, provides panoramic views of the surrounding area. It will be a great place to watch the northern lights while staying warm indoors. When people go up and down the metal staircase, the sound carries through the tower. It doesn't bother me, but it may be annoying to some. My daughter on the 4th floor said she could hear me talking from my 3rd floor room - something to be aware of. Overall, very happy with the stay and look forward to visiting again and staying longer!

It was good for a couple, not a family as only 2 people can fit in a room. It was a pain to take luggage up and down the stairs. Very clean and nice otherwise!!! The top of the silo has clear roof, which during winter would be amazing to see the aurora. But it was cold and windy when we climbed up so it is good to be prepared for that.
