Hotel a 3 stelle a Norfolk

The reviews were not bad when I booked, but they were misleading. The pictures do not give an accurate reflection of the property. Our room had water damage,(VERY evident by the walls and closet door) poorly maintained overall, an electric socket socket exposed, water leaking in the bathroom, filthy chair, microwave was dirty, carpet was disgusting and had some sticky substance on it. I tried to wear socks but then the water in the bathroom soaked them. I asked for someone to come down and look at it when we checked in, but nobody came. There were people sleeping in cars and drinking outside. Honestly, after dark, it became kinda sketchy. One room had a party going on. Luckily, security kicked them out. The pool was very old and some of the guests made it a little uncomfortable just staring at the females using the pool. Leaving in the morning, people had just tossed trash in the hall. I wouldn't even use the shower it was dirty looking and seeing how poorly the riom was cleaned i didnt trust the shower to be clean. It was bad enough that I pulled the linens back to check for bed bugs. The microwave looked like it was swapped with one that was used and not cleaned. And let's not forget this is 2 hotels in one. Same lobby, same desk, but one side is Quality Inn the other is Sleep Inn. Would not stay here again. Needs a serious renovation.

I recently stayed at the Marriott Norfolk and had an amazing experience. The hotel itself is beautiful, with modern decor and stunning views of the water that make it such a relaxing place to stay. The service was outstanding, especially thanks to Caroline. She truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and greeted us with a warm smile and positive attitude every time. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Norfolk!

Very good, but missing a little bit. The people at the front desk are very nice. The breakfast is slightly better than the 'free breakfast' at the other chain. The parking at the parking garage across the street is convenient. Note that the garage is not secured, but that is typical in cities. The Chrysler Museum is a short walk away. The nightlife / restaurants are a short walk down Granby Street. It is about a 15 minute walk to the harbor. The light rail transportation is nearby. The room was nice. We were upgraded to a two room suite which was great. On areas for improvement: There should be wall hooks for jackets / hats to the right of the door. There is a need for luggage holders. We had to put ours on the kitchen table. One of the two elevators was broken. When trying to check out in the morning, the one elevator was full every time it stopped at the 4th floor. It took a while to get the luggage cart into a car. The light rail was LOUD in our room until late at night. We faced W. York Street, which should have been quieter than Brambleton.

Had a wonderful stay at Courtyard Marriott. Jermaine and Lauren did an exceptional job of valet. Making sure my vehicle was taken care of . They made sure my vehicle was moved in a timely manner. They made sure to open my door so I could put my luggage within my vehicle

Jermaine was awesome! He went above and beyond to help tell us about the area and gave us great recommendations for food. He has a genuine passion for life and helping his guests. If you stay at the hotel ask for him to help you. His coworkers were very friendly too! Thanks again for your hospitality. The DeLucia family.

I come to this hotel often. And it NEVER disappoints. The staff is helpful and friendly. The hotel is very clean. One of the biggest reasons we continue to visit this location is Debra Berry!!!. I can't say enough wonderful things about her. Attention to detail (she remembered I use extra sheets, they were in the room waiting), kindness, and over all a big heart. I feel safe at this hotel. Even when I had an unfortunate medical event, she checked on me because she knew I was there alone with my nephew. I hold her as part of our Norfolk family. Debra needs a raise!!!. Thank you Wyndham and Mrs Debra *especially *. She truly is special. Hold on to her, and never let go.

La stanza era grande, ma potevamo diffonderci, ma ci sono stati solo tre piccoli camicie che mettevano le nostre cose, che potevano metterci un vestito più alto/più grande con più camicie per più opzioni di stoccaggio. C'era un cappuccio sul bagno, così abbiamo avuto un magazzino extra, che era grande, c'era solo un gancio per tutte le nostre tovaglie, non conveniente quando cercava di asciugare più tovaglie, e la pressione dell'acqua era grande. Alcuni del personale erano davvero carini, alcuni sembravano che li sconvolgevamo. Il personale del colazione era fantastico e utile. Il colazione era bene al meglio. Dovremmo usare il centro commerciale e c'era una roccia sul muro. Ho detto al dipartimento di fronte e non sembravano preoccupati.
