My recent stay at V Grand Hotel Ooty was an absolute delight, truly exceeding all expectations. If you're looking for luxury without the hefty price tag, this is your spot.
The rooms are incredibly luxurious, boasting 5-star amenities for what felt like a 3-star price. From the moment I stepped in, I was impressed by how modern and well-appointed everything was. They’ve thought of everything: a hot water dispenser right in the room, a large Sony TV with seamless Wi-Fi connectivity, and even a comfy recliner single-seater sofa. Plus, the convenience of a separate foldable extra bed is a huge bonus. What truly surprised me was how cozy and warm the room stayed, even without a heater – perfect for Ooty's cool climate.
Location-wise, it's ideal. V Grand Hotel is very close to Charring Cross, putting you right at the heart of Ooty's action, yet it remains remarkably calm and silent.

VVijayakumar G AFirstly, I was given a room in an extension block that seemed to have been built recently. It was modern but lacked the charm and character of a true heritage property. The main building, with its fireplace and historic ambience, was nowhere to be found. This was especially disappointing considering the premium price I paid, comparable to what you'd expect from a 5-star hotel.
The lack of attention to detail continued throughout my stay. When I checked in on a rainy day, I had to walk to the extension block without an umbrella despite the muddy road. The staff seemed unbothered by this inconvenience. Additionally, the room didn't have slippers, and the floor was cold, with no heating available (although they did provide a basic room heater when requested).
To make matters worse, I had to call the front desk to confirm my room for the second day, which should have been done automatically as part of their standard procedure. This lack of efficiency only added to my frustration.
The toiletries were also woefully inadequate, with only basic soap and shampoo provided. Power cuts were frequent, and I had to notify the front desk each time, which seemed like a hassle the hotel should have anticipated.
The breakfast buffet was uninspiring and lacked flavour. To make matters worse, I had dinner at their restaurant, which was rated top in Ooty, but my experience was average at best. To add insult to injury, they got our order wrong, substituting Nasi Goreng (fried rice) with Mee Goreng (fried noodles). When I brought this to their attention, they made no effort to compensate for the mistake.
In conclusion, Hotel King's Cliff fails to live up to its reputation as a heritage property or even a 2-star hotel. The overpricing and lack of attention to detail make it a poor choice for travellers seeking a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Ooty.

NNorio KYWCA Wyoming is a hotel situated in Coonoor. The building is very historic and beautiful. The hotel is in the hill, so it's better to take auto-rickshaw. As it is far from the city centre, it's very quiet and I like it. There is no shampoo and soap, so you need bring your own stuff. The price of YWCA Wyoming is one of the lowest, so we should appreciate the effort of the hotel ***agement.

UUtente ospiteHotel location is good......Common areas are well maintained however the rooms are not as reflected in photograph on the website....Restaurant is not well ***aged although the staff is good but I feel there is a lot of scope for improvement. ...Buffet breakfast is good....Biryani taste was good....Food in general was good...Had to wait for more than 30 minutes for the hotel staff to transfer my luggage from room during checkout.....There was a lot of difference between the price as mentioned on trip.com and directly with hotel.....Trip.com was less for the same Privilege Suite....

Hanno anche un ufficio di viaggio, sarà facile per noi prenotare la cabina se non abbiamo il nostro autoveicolo. Ho passato recentemente tre giorni inoltrabili a Berry Resort Hill Ooty, e ha vissuto davvero fino alla spirale, senza dubbio uno dei migliori resort della regione, offrendo una vista incredibile che supera qualunque altro che abbia incontrato a Ooty. Sul monte, il paesaggio è semplicemente smerigliato.
Il resort stesso è ben mantenuto e esulta un ambiente tranquillo. Le camere sono confortevoli e ben attrezzate, offrendo un perfetto ritorno dopo un giorno di esplorazione.
Uno dei miei spettacoli era il delizioso cibo, ogni pasto era un piacere culinario, mostrando una meravigliosa miscela di sapori locali.
Il personale, in particolare il signor Predeep, al ricevimento, era incredibilmente amichevole e utile, e la loro calda ospitezza mi fece sentire molto benvenuto.
