Highly unhygienic and un professional staff Its a very congested place. The ***ager or whoever knows about all these issues and still dont take any action even after complaining Kids play area is a big bluff.

Beds were very bad and the chairs were so bad . They just mention king size beds but they just queen The garden which shown in photos is a 2*2 ***** where only one person can walk. They water plants in walkways which makes its water all over dangerous walk around Not sure how they rate themselves as 4 star.

Horrible experience with hotel ***agement. One bathroom was very smelly and they didn’t resolve. Breakfast was same for 4 days no change in the menu. I booked for 5 days and checkout within 4 days due to family plan change. I requested for return and they pointed to travel agent, trace agent is referring to hotel ***agement, end of the day both played and we didn’t get anything and travel agent is talking very rudely

This hotel is closed from Nov 2022 onward. We have paid full money for stay in Dec 2022. Our money is stuck now. They are not picking up calls and not replying to our emails also. We don't know what to do. Do not fall pray to their ***ipulation.

ATTENTION!! This is in regard to our stay at Mount and Mist, Ooty. Just like everyone else, we booked our stay seeing reviews over Google and tripadvisor and the pictures that were displayed by them on the website. Let me start from the very beginning. When we reached the hotel ... on the outside everything seemed nice. But to my surprise when we checked the bathrooms, there were snails crawling on the walls. One of the bathrooms stinked so bad, as if it was never cleaned in the first place. When we reported this to the housekeeping staff they said that they can do nothing for the foul odour. The curtains were worn out and poorly maintained. All of this basically indicative of the poor maintainence and supervision by the hotel staff. My family was petrified of flying susarim cockroaches in the room, lady bugs, beetles and what not, we didn't get any sleep that night out of fear!!! It's not the first time that we booked stay admist a forest/hilly region... But such creatures were never spotted. When we complained about this, all we got to hear was that this is a hilly region, insects are bound to come, keep the room door closed and what not. Instead of solutions, all they offered us were excuses.Next morning, in another bathroom a 15 cm long black earthworm that more or less looked like a snake was spotted. How does one take bath when all you can think and see are such creepy crawlies around you. Even for once if you keep aside all of this, coming to the linen/sleeping mattress, it was worn out. Inspite of knowing that we had a third occupancy, they had no beds available for us and the bed that was right outside the room was placed inside. Attaching the pictures of the mattress below. After paying such a good amount of money, this is definitely not the kind of hospitality one expects. 2 star hotels and lodges are better than this with respect to cleanliness. Mr. Vishal, just met us once the night we checked in and exclaimed that this was one of the best rooms (suite) he could offer and when we called him the next morning, he didn't revert. No replies to our messages and there was nobody to address our problems. We decided to check out in the morning as we were extremely disappointed with what we saw. Our travel agent also tried to call regarding a refund but to no avail. Not for once Mr Vishal was apologetic. He wasn't bothered to come and check up on us even once. He sent a mail stating lies like they set up multiple layers of mattress which is untrue. We set up those beds with possible multiple layers from one bed to another so that the kids could sleep. Ultimately, we had to move to another property in Ooty even though it was heavy on our pockets. I would totally advise you all to NEVER book a stay at this particular hotel. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL. If you still want to waste your precious time and money at such a poorly maintained hotel, go ahead.

I’ve been to mount n mist before in 2015 and that time I loved their service more than the beautiful location..and that’s why this time I didn’t think twice before booking .. but sad to say this.. their service and hospitality is not upto the mark that I have experienced before. I’m not saying it is bad but it is average only. They didn’t inform prior to our stay that breakfast will be served after 8.30. most of the tourists including us planned to go to Ooty early in the morning and when we had to wait more than a hour for breakfast we had to change our plans (the stay is around 15km away from main town). Also the breakfast served was average compared to our previous experience. I would like to suggest the resort authorities to make everything right again and improve your service . Also change the breakfast timing. No point in having breakfast after 8.30 if there is nothing to do in your property. Your price has gone up and hospitality has gone down. Make it better.
