Hotel con piscina a Nizza

Ho soggiornato presso questo hotel lo scorso fine settimana. viaggio mi appoggio sempre a questa catena per l'ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Questa volta purtroppo sono rimasto un po' deluso. La struttura ha già un po' di anni ed i segni dell'età si vedono. Le parti comuni (reception e sala da pranzo) sono ben tenute ed ordinate. Le camere invece sono il punto dolente, davvero piccole, il letto è praticamente attaccato alla porta e gli spazi per muoversi sono davvero ristretti. Il bagno non è da meno, doccia di dimensioni accettabili ma con la tenda, lavandino microscopico e veramente scomodo. Buona invece la colazione, non c'è tantissima scelta ma quello che abbiamo mangiato era tutto molto buono. Questo ha contribuito a migliorare la situazione. La posizione è centrale, praticamente attaccato alla stazione, ed è un ottimo punto di partenza per visitare la città. Un po' scomodo invece per chi desidera andare spesso in spiaggia, sono circa 20 minuti a piedi. Comodo il parcheggio coperto, che è lo stesso della stazione, con accesso diretto all'hotel. E' a pagamento e Ibis non fornisce alcun codice sconto, prenotando online si riesce ad avere però un po' di sconto, per due giorni ho pagato 38 euro.

Poiché si tratta di un residence hotel, la camera è ancora relativamente grande. È OK per 4 persone che alloggiano in 3 camere grandi e una piccola e un soggiorno (un letto matrimoniale e un divano letto matrimoniale). L'ambiente circostante del l'hotel è molto generale e si stima che non sia una zona molto buona a Nizza, ma alla fine è comodo per mangiare e bere. L'hotel si trova proprio di fronte al Carrefour e al McDonald's. Il bagno in camera è pulito, ma la moquette è un po' sporca e il divano non sembra molto pulito. Il servizio di reception dell'hotel è molto cordiale.

In generale, ci piaceva il nostro soggiorno a Westminster. Abbiamo avuto una vista meravigliosa sull’oceano e amava le cieche che si possono operare con il clic di un pulsante. La stanza era pulita e bella, anche se la stanza era notevolmente appoggiata. L'hotel è in una posizione fantastica. Pensavamo che l'uso della piscina fosse incluso nel nostro soggiorno, ma ci sbagliavamo. Devi prenotare un trattamento spa o pagare per l'uso tempestivo della piscina. Pensavo che l'elenco su trip.com mostrasse la piscina come un'ambizione che potrebbe essere dove ho commesso l'errore di pensare che fosse disponibile per tutti.

Niente di cui lamentarsi per la camera e l'arredamento in generale. il tetto con la vista e la piscina è assolutamente sublime, è molto piacevole, il personale è molto attento e premuroso, unico punto negativo, il centro benessere è leggermente deludente, le strutture sono vecchie, non molto ben arredate e illuminate, non lo fa evidenziare la spa, manca una jacuzzi ma il personale della spa è super top e fanno il miglior massaggio. In termini di rapporto qualità-prezzo, è il miglior 5 stelle di Nizza! E il fatto di non essere sul lungomare, ma siamo comunque poco distanti da 10 min a piedi e la passeggiata è molto bella, è davvero compensato dal tetto che è il punto migliore dell'hotel.

Weekend romantico di successo, hotel fedele alla sua presentazione su internet. Abbiamo trascorso 2 notti lì, la posizione è ottima, siamo stati in grado di goderci il centro città e passeggiare (10 minuti dalla Promenade des Anglais). Personale cordiale e attento, la nostra camera era pulita e spaziosa Colazione varia Buon soggiorno

We have looked time and again at many hotels in Nice, and have still not found a better place for a family trip. Rooms are spacious and clean and (in our case) with a bathtub. A wonderful new aspect is the free water machines on the floor, including sparkling! Just fill up the lovely empty flask left in your room. The lobby is bright and spacious, with video games, colouring areas, and sockets for working at. On the roof, there's a wonderful view and decent pool to splash round in. Breakfast has a great choice, with a large open-air option, along with table football. The location opens up so many options: 15 mins walk to the start of the old town, where there is also a massive park with many kids playing. Alternatively, the tram stop is right in front of the hotel: 4 mins into town (€10 for a book of 10 trips that you can share). Another big plus for us is that it's only 10 minutes' walk from Nice Riquier train station, with direct trains to Grasse, Cannes, Monaco and Ventimiglia, among many others, without having to go to the main station. Top tip: the ”Isabelle” ticket that you can buy online if €35 and gives you unlimited travel in the area for a day for 4 people. Carrefour and Lidl are also both just a couple of minutes' walk away. And last but certainly not least, the staff: even if this was a 1* hostel with mattresses on the floor, we would still return just to be greeted by Lyubov's massive smile every morning. Our daily chats made our week: she was genuinely delighted to see us and ask about our trips, and she is a true jewel for any hotel to have. I'd also like to say thanks to the lovely lady receptionist with glasses (Sunday morning 4 June) who helped us with an extended check-out, meaning our son could have one last play while we packed. I think the best recommendation we can give is...”See you next year!”

Reception was shocking, everytime we needed assistance the wait was long and customer service not good, no one could be bothered. Small bar not a problem but no stock not even ice. The indoor pool was a good size but guest were allowed to walk in and out through the dining area wet with no shoes on straight into the lift. There seemed to be a lot of young people and familes being housed there, again not a problem but there was no hotel experience or service for the paying guest. The rooms were really nice and clean lots of space but the night we arrived one guest had been beaten up and had to be attended to by paramedics and police. Not sure how they got in as needed key card to enter lift. The saving grace for me was the roof terrace and pool, good space, lovely pool and the fact that were english and the weather was hot for us we had the whole area to ourselves as it was to cold for everyone else. The train runs almost directly behind the hotel which is cheap and a good way to travel in and out of the center. I would not stay here again.

Overall, this hotel gets all the important things right for a family city/beach break. We stayed here with two children aged 9 and 7 in July '23. The hotel is a short walk from Alsace-Lorraine tram station (situated on the same road). This is a 20 min ride on a modern tram directly from the Airport (see later for tips on this). It is also a 5 minute walk to the beach and 10-15 mins to the centre, making the location perfect for exploring the city and going to the beach every day with little hassle. The staff were very friendly throughout with a particular mention to the Concierge who greeted us at reception and a young lady who took the time to speak to my Spanish wife and bi-lingual children at breakfast each day, giving advice on the city, travel and helping with dietary requirements (e-mail the hotel ahead of the stay for things like oat milk etc). The Hotel itself is very nice with a clean, marble lobby and adjoining Spa (this is the entrance you will see on the main street - the hotel reception entrance is just around the corner but you can enter through both). Breakfast is located on the roof level including a terrace and excellent views of the beautiful surrounding buildings. There is also a small pool and some sun loungers. Our room was a 'deluxe' which included a double bed and a pull-out sofa bed for the kids. I must say, the beds were some of the most comfortable we have stayed in to date which was great. I had read previously that some people complained of bad smells but we never came across this despite it being warm. It's true the room was a little worn but it was clean and it didn't take away from the overall experience (especially given how little time we spent in there each day). The main thing was that it provided a comfortable, quiet and cool space to rest at night along with a good breakfast before more exploring. I had read that the tram ride to the city from the airport would be around Euro 1.50 for a single journey. Lots of people were struggling with the ticket machines at the airport because the only option was a Euro 10 return ticket. I asked at the information point and the lady informed me to travel one stop and get off to buy the ticket (I was assured this was legal). We did exactly that and found we could get a single for each of us for Euro 2.50 (in other words it still came to Euro 10....). Once you have your tickets, you must validate them by holding them against the digital screen in the tram (starts your 75 minute clock). Our highlights included the electric city tourist train to get an overview with commentary (Euro 20 for a family of 4), the market in the old town, walking up the hill for a view of the bay and to see the waterfall, enjoying the public beach (its stones not sand which is great but if you have sensitive feet you might want some beach shoes for getting in/out!) and eating some great food. La posizione è buona, dalla vecchia città, la montagna degli angeli e il slogan di Nice sono tutte a piedi. Tutti i dipendenti sembrano carini. Ma quando si ferma con la ricetta, si conferma se la camera a doppio letto apre o è una grande letto Non c'è personale della stanza degli ospiti la notte. E' davvero sorprendente trovare un guardiano per aiutarmi a coprire un letto singolo. Poi il cammello è rotto di nuovo la notte. Ma è stato bello rispondere rapidamente a tutti i dipendenti. La vista del mare dell'hotel è davvero fantastica Il panorama del ristorante del colazione e il ristorante del tetto sono grandi.

Was upgraded to a suite upon arrival. Very happy that we got an upgrade, because I can only imagine the state of the standard room after seeing the suite. Mold on the ceiling, dirty carpet flooring, holes in the floor under the carpet and worn down walls. Bathroom was okay. Location was great, walking distance for aprox. everything. Furniture is old and wore down, same with curtains etc. I have never stayed in a 3-star hotel in this state, in my opinion this is more of a 2-star. Visited the rooftop at Splendid once, nice view and amenities, but when we ordered there was no information about the fact that the pool and other amenities were at Splendid. On Gonouds website on the other hand, it is clearly stated. Staff was nice. To summarize, it is a very average hotel.
