Wonderful place to stay for a night to enjoy beautiful jioufen. Owner is kind and has humour. Recommend highly.  Kitchen is not fully stocked, but before 7pm there is plenty of place to eat outside.

On My Way JiuFen Hostel & Backpacker is a fantastic choice for a visit to Jiufen. The location is truly unbeatable, placing you right in the heart of Old Street, so you can easily explore the town's famous sights and soak in the atmosphere after the crowds have gone. The staff are exceptionally friendly and create a very welcoming atmosphere, often going out of their way to provide local tips and ensure guests feel at home. The hostel is clean and has a cozy common area, making it easy to relax and meet fellow travelers. I would absolutely recommend it for a memorable and convenient stay in Jiufen.

The owner is friendly and helpful. The rooms were quite hot, the AC was set to 25 C. The location was fantastic. The rooms are upstairs, no elevator. I left my large suitcase downstairs. I would stay again, a least for one night.

Very friendly hostel owner. He is a superhero! I lost my wallet in the bus and he got it back for me! The communal space really feels like a living room. The atmosphere with everyone is very good.

Great place to stay. You can't fault it. Accessible and in a great location!

Very very close to the main streetl and the hostel owner is very friendly. Seems toilets is a bit not enough when there are many traveller check-in.

Has the basics that every backpacker need. would be nice if the hot water from the water dispenser was hotter than 70°c, but that's not a deal breaker :)

Haven't slept in the hostel because of a typhoon coming, but haven't been refunded.

Very nice staff, they let me keep my bike inside because I was bike touring and they also informed and guided me because of the typhoon. My bed and shower were very clean, I recommend it.

Excellent stay with perfect location for Old st. Massive thanks to the friendly volunteers for the helpful information, as well as to the helpful owner who was accommodating. Good place to socialise with other travellers. Shower was the most perfect one I’ve used in Taiwan - minor thing to notice but was appreciated. Would definitely stay again!

Very nice hostel, the owner was really friendly. It's in the middle of the old street, so very convenient but if you have a big suitcase, not the best haha. The room is actually quite spacious and it's apparently not often full.
