Holiday Inn Express - Neptune, an IHG Hotel

Hotel charged me twice. I paid when I booked using trip.com and when I left the hotel they charged my card again.

Was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. They were working directly under our room at 8am on a sunday. Hammering and power tools and then the fire alarm went off and was told by the people in the hallway we had to evacuate. Was just a horrible morning. Consumers appreciate the fact that you want to improve your facility but please be mindful of your guests staying there especially on a weekend. The reason why we even stayed over night was to have a good nights rest after along Saturday evening. So it really was horrible to be woken up to banging and power tools when all I wanted was a good nights rest.

Communication with front desk staff is difficult at best… staff is clearly lacking in basic customer service skills and my brief exp w female GM Dominique was honestly the most abusive, agressive trea**ent I’ve ever received at ANY HOTEL.PERIOD…. I was a guest here at IHG express On Route 66 in Neptune for almost a month as my father’s health was deteriorating in a Local LTC facility I was working tirelessly to remove him from despite their every action to undermine my efforts…. Suffice to say it was not a vacation and I was only seeking a quiet clean accommodation to retire to at night…. This was not possible due to the ongoing partiers in adjoining rooms celebrating New Years at top volume in all common areas in king breakfast, hallways, and lobby… hotel did call police but matter never resolved at the time of my departure…. I was informed by GM Dominique that the Neptune Police had been called as I was 15 mins late in checking out ( I had paid over 4,500 for 3.5 weeks in this outdated roadside truck stop -type motel…. I cannot fathom how /why other guests rated IHG expresss Neptune as Good -very Good…. The only thing Good was my leaving the property for my last and final piece of luggage… AVOID this hotel: Front Desk/Management has an outright hostile tone towards guests —- these people Do NOT Deserve your business- u will regret booking this seemingly benign property …ProSpective guests… BEWARE! Very nice hotel, helpful staff, had a nice spread for complimentary breakfast. Worth your stay.

My $50 security deposit hasn’t been released and is been several days since they told me it will be at my bank account within 7 business days

We had a 1.5 hour wait to get our room after the allotted check in time. The room was okay as far as cleanliness goes. Linens were clean and beds made. The provided breakfast was largely stale or cold food. With several items having run out after 2hrs of the time it was available. Seating in the dining area was also very limited.

Overall experience was good. Family enjoyed the clean room but the smart TV could not be connected to any phone or tablets with or without HDMI. Also the room could use more 🗑️ and trash bags. Friendly staff.

Hotel was great - newly renovated. Only drawback was its right off Route 66 so you hear traffic but it was ok sleeping.

I wouldn’t stay here again. Rooms were kinda old. We were placed in the first room right next to front desk lobby, a group was staying at the hotel. The parents were watching their kids “ding dong ditch” my room door. I had to open it twice and yell. Then walk the 20 ft or so to the front desk to tell them to handle it. They saw what was going on while it was happening and did nothing. I would never stay here again.
