Loved our stay at The Black Cockatoo.
We felt quite secluded, despite being a 5 minute walk from the small town ( pub, cafe, shops)
Our room was really spacious with a fully equipped kitchenette, very comfy bed and everything was lovely and clean.
Our host Sue was really great giving us a lot of info about the local area.

We stayed at the Black Cockatoo for three nights in the Tiger Room Suite. The unit had everything we could have wanted and was very clean and tidy. Facilities included cooking facilities, large fridge, air conditioning and heating, general cooking appliances, plates, cutlery etc. There was free wifi and the signal was good and access speed was excellent. Beds were comfortable and we had wonderful resful nights sleep and we even slpet in every morning as we were sleeping so soundly. The garden is lush and green and a delight to walk through. Our unit was fully self contained but there are other cheaper options with shared facilities. It was very good value and way cheaper than most other places you will find in this area. There is a BBQ with table and chairs in the garden and a number of different places to sit. With all the trees around there was also plenty of birdlife. We have no hesitation in recommending Black Cockatoo and hope to be back there ourselves in the not too distant future.

Fabulous hidden gem ! Feels like you are hidden in the middle of nowhere, quiet, pretty sanctuary, but stroll 5 min and you are in the centre of the cutest town. Lots to do within driving distance. Safari tents were gorgeous. Electric blankets on beds and heater provided. Lots power points. Well appointed camp kitchen. Shared bathroom facilities always clean and stocked. Owners friendly. Will definitely be back !

Although everything was very close to town, you still felt like you were in the bush. Lovely warm heater in the room. Possum parties happening outside after dark. Great place to stay.

We stayed 2 nights in December in Wattle Studio - wish it had been longer! The studio has everything you need with a very comfortable bed. It was very clean and welcoming. There are several other units scattered amongst the beautiful grounds. Sue was very helpful and the price was very good value so we wouldn’t look anywhere else should we return to Nannup.

Beautiful,well equipped cabin in natural bush setting. Highly recommended. Close to walking trails and historic attractions.
Walking distance to shops. Quaint town.

Really enjoyed our two night stay as my friend and I needed time out from the city and this place was perfect. So lovely waking up to bush views and birdsong. The luxury safari tent was secluded and private. Very relaxing and had everything we needed. Highly recommend to stay here and to visit the gorgeous town of Nannup.
