UUtente ospiteI booked Hanyuan because it is within walking distance to my folks home. And my grandma used to work at Nanjing Agricultural University, which the hotel is affiliated with. I read others’ reviews and knew it is an old facility. I did not have unrealistic expectations.
We arrived late at night. Taxi driver dropped us off at the side entrance that has numerous stairs to the door. We had lots of luggage. As we got out of the cab, we saw some staff member in the lobby looking out. Instead of coming out to help us, he walked away. My husband, myself and our seven year old all carried/dragged multiple items up the stairs to get into the hotel lobby.
We checked in and decided that we would need to add a bed for the kid. House keeping came quickly to set up the bed but was reluctant to provide pillows for the additional bed. I had to repeatedly ask before they agreed to bring an extra pillow. Don’t understand why there is such resistance to equip the additional bed with pillow- after all, we did pay for the additional bed.
Everything else was pretty good during our first three-day-stay. We then went away to visit families elsewhere for a week before coming back to this hotel.
This time, our car drove onto the ramp at the front entrance. As soon as we entered the building, lobby manager came to offer us help. He helped us deliver luggage to our room. We are very appreciative of his assistance.
We ran into some issues at the front desk this time. They asked for our passports again and took our pictures for a second time. When I mentioned that we were just here a week ago and all information was taken already, we were told that all information has been erased as we checked out. When we checked in/out the first time, we informed front desk that we were making the hotel our base camp and will be coming in and out a few times. It’s strange that they would delete our information and redo everything all over again.
Again we need to add a bed. House keeping brought a roller bed which has a stained mattress pad. I asked them to bring a clean one, they said they could not. They said they didn’t have any clean pads. They said the only option is to remove the pad and put the sheets directly on the mattress. They further suggested that since the sheet is clean, dirty pad doesn’t matter and that every mattress pad under bed sheets has urine stains. His words made my stomach turn but I was too tired to fight so they went ahead put sheets on top of the mattress pad that has a big yellow stain. Again I asked for pillows for the additional bed, they refused at first, upon my insistence, they agreed to bring pillows. They also took out a blanket from the cabinets under television and put it on the bed.
When the seven year old was ready for bed, I opened the blanket and realized it’s cover is dirty. It’s dusty and has multiple stings of hair on it. I called house keeping, a lady quickly bought over a clean duvet cover for the blanket but refused to take away the dirty one. She insisted that we keep the dirty duvet in the closet. I did not understand her rationale but there isn’t anything I can do. So that dirty duvet cover stayed in the closet.
Maybe I should not have come back to this hotel.

UUtente ospite入住前一天接到民宿主理人打來的電話，告知南京這幾天會有颱風並且詳細又告知了因受颱風影響會有哪些景點停止營業。還貼心的和我説如果受颱風影響行程有變入住當天晚上18:00之前可免費取消訂單。因為此次的南京之行我們一家人計劃已久，難得大家都請了假把時間湊在一起，所以我們商量之後決定按原計劃出行。出行當天民宿主理人為我們建了專屬管家服務羣，羣內會根據我們出行的交通方式發送詳細的路程指引和入住指引，管家24小時全程貼心陪伴，讓我們一家人在陌生的城市充分感受到家的温暖。房間很安靜，佈置的既温馨又美觀，衞生很乾凈，布草柔軟舒適。純凈水和一次性用品準備的很齊全，品質也非常不錯，均可免費使用。體驗感遠遠超出我們之前住的品牌連鎖酒店，也改變了我們一家人之前對民宿的看法，還有點小慚愧呢！

TTinaMThis is the first time I've had an absolutely 10/10 experience with any hotel. This particular hotel also outranks every other Marriott I've ever stayed at. I genuinely could not think of a single negative point. I was only in Nanjing for 2 nights, in town for a meeting, and I'm so glad I chose to stay here.
Firstly, the room is exactly as advertised. Marriott hotels always have the fluffiest pillows, but this particular hotel had the most HEAVENLY pillows. The bed was so comfy that I ended up postponing my day plans just so I could sleep in! I didn't realise how desperately I needed that rest and recuperation, and am glad I chose to stay here and get what I needed. Also, this hotel does not skimp on the water - most hotels will only give you 2 tiny bottles a day, which if it's blazing hot outside, can be frustrating, especially if you want to boil water for tea/coffee in the morning. This hotel provides 4-5 complimentary bottles of water per day. In many ways, I felt like they anticipated what I'd need and would provide it before I even had the chance to ask. There is also an ironing board stowed in the room, which for me was a lifesaver as I had an important meeting.
As other reviewers have mentioned, the location is indeed fantastic. I was so relieved to find that after a long train journey, I only needed to hop on the subway for 1 stop - I didn't even need to exit the building, as the hotel is located inside the mall connected to the subway station.
The breakfast spread is not too bad either, with the highlight for me being the espresso machines. When I tell you this machine delivers the most divine coffee in 10 seconds, I am not kidding. It was one of my favourite things and a great way to kickstart a busy day.
At check-in, the reception staff ensured they gave me all the info I needed. I noticed this is often skipped at other hotels as staff are shy or reluctant to speak in English, which results in foreign guests missing out on relevant info or complimentary perks - but the Marriott team refused to let language be an obstacle. I was glad to learn free snacks and coffee were available in the executive lounge each evening. While I was there, the executive lounge manager - I think her name is Sheila, apologies if I've gotten this wrong - took the time to introduce herself and ask if I needed anything. She was so polite and genuinely seemed to want to improve the experience for guests. To me, these small touches are what set a service-oriented luxury hotel apart from others.
On my first night, I'd arrived pretty exhausted after having sat on a delayed train for hours, and I wanted to order takeaway as I didn't have the energy to go out. They have Meituan lockers positioned right at the hotel entrance, which you can unlock with your phone and collect your deliveries. Being a foreigner who doesn't understand Chinese very well, I wasn't sure how to navigate this, but the reception staff went out of their way to help me, ensuring they stayed with me until I'd collected my parcel - it was not at all necessary for them to help me so much, but they did, and I'm very grateful for that :)
I spent the entire month traveling in China and so, looking back, am able to compare all of the hotels and experiences from this trip. This particular hotel ranks 10/10 for me not only because of the location, but also because of the kindness and professionalism of staff. Things can sometimes be confusing or overwhelming for foreigners, and this was the only hotel where staff didn't hesitate to rush in and offer to help, no matter how small the issue. Even the gentleman at the coffee bar in the lobby was so kind and polite - and might I add, everyone at this hotel speaks English, so they really do cater to an international crowd. Housekeeping staff too were very sweet, always greeting you and asking if you needed extra bottles of water.
Thank you for a relaxing, delightful stay! I hope to come again and stay longer next time.

WWONGEdwinOur trip to Nanjing left us with beautiful memories and a very positive impression. Largely attributable to the very pleasant stay at Swisstouches Hotel. We stayed in the suite from end May to early June.
1. Very clean and comfortable suite - About one of the most comfortable rooms I have had stayed in recent memory. Spacious, clean, well - kept, well - maintained. Reasonably priced. Whole place smelled good, no hint of musky odour, no tobacco smell, children had zero issue with allergy. Sound proofing was great.
I do wish the kitchenette is better equipped with microwave oven, utensils and simple crockery. Not that we cook in the room, but I guess it is more convenient to have simple utensils available in the kitchenette.
2. Courteous, attentive and responsive service - Reception was courteous, patient and reliable. Restaurant staff were obliging and prompt (requests were attended to promptly, room cleaning staff were responsible and detailed. (I accidentally left the Do-Not-Disturb sign on, they left a note reminding me about that, and took the initiative to return in the evening to clean up the room - all without any request from me. I thought of just going letting the room cleaning pass for 1 day). Such conscientious work attitude is hard to come by.
3. Food was hygienic and ample - The buffet breakfast was amply stocked and spread was decent. Not an emperor's feast, but way enough to surpass expectations for most people.
4. Location was decent, safe - The hotel is situated in the outskirts of Nanjing city. So you get the tranquil, but you wont have the hustle and bustle. There are convenience stores and eateries well within a stone's throw. Ride hailing taxis are easily available too. 5. Facilities - I only tried the swimming pool and gym. Very decent. Good enough for exercise and workouts during travel. Gym was well equipped, albeit a little messy. But that's more of gym users rather than the set-up. Swimming pool was well maintained and monitored at all times. Great for lane swimming.
All in all, fantastic stay. Go back again? Big Yes.

MMA TravelerWe had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Nanjing! The location is very convenient — just a short walk from Nanjing South Railway Station, which made getting around super easy.
The staff were warm, welcoming, and very accommodating. We really appreciated their efforts to communicate with us despite the language barrier — it made us feel truly cared for. It’s clear that this hotel has experience in hosting foreign tourists, which made our stay smooth and stress-free.
Our room was clean, modern, and had excellent air conditioning, which was such a relief after a warm day exploring Nanjing. We also had a bit of fun with the smart features in the room — getting Xiaodu to turn on the lights and open the curtains was a fun touch!
There are plenty of food options nearby, plus a convenience store just downstairs, which made grabbing snacks or essentials really easy.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Nanjing!

UUtente ospitePosizione: molto vicino alla stazione della metropolitana Jimingsi. Esci dall'uscita 6 e cammina lungo il sentiero per un po'. Questo tratto di strada è alla periferia della Southeast University. Ci sono molti studenti universitari che vanno e vengono e ci sono anche molti negozi di alimentari, il che è molto conveniente.
Servizi: La reception ha organizzato per me la stanza più grande tra quelle disponibili. Tutte le strutture sono abbastanza nuove. La cosa sorprendente è che, ad eccezione dell'interruttore sul comodino, tutti gli altri interruttori sono sulla porta, comprese le due luci del bagno e l'interruttore per l'aspiratore. Non so se ci sia un problema di progettazione del cablaggio durante il bagno decorazione. Le tende non sono automatiche e necessitano di essere tirate manualmente. Altri possono essere visti nelle immagini. Il proiettore è sopra la finestra. L'interruttore del proiettore sarà acceso di notte. Avevamo bisogno di un posto vicino all'ospedale e abbiamo deciso di provare l'hotel Qingmu perché era situato in una posizione comoda e sembrava confortevole dall'esterno e aveva recensioni per lo più positive su trip.com.
Essendo uno straniero che parla pochissimo mandarino, ero preoccupato per la comunicazione con lo staff dell'hotel. Ma sono rimasto piacevolmente sorpreso dall'efficienza con cui hanno gestito questo problema. Siamo stati in grado di chattare con l'aiuto di WeChat e Google Translate. Conoscevano anche più inglese di quanto pensassi. Ben presto siamo diventati molto amichevoli e abbiamo trovato un modo produttivo per comunicare le mie esigenze e ottenere la migliore stanza possibile. Ci hanno anche aiutato con le nostre borse da viaggio e ci hanno fornito acqua e uno spuntino. Mi sono sentito molto felice e a mio agio con i loro servizi e mi hanno fatto sentire come a casa più che come un soggiorno in hotel.
La camera era molto invitante e profumava di fresca di pulizia. Il letto era molto comodo e mia moglie ha avuto mal di schiena ma ha detto che il letto era perfetto per lei. È stato bello che abbiano potuto conservare i nostri farmaci in un frigorifero a temperatura controllata mentre noi continuavamo a lavorare per il concepimento. L'hotel si trova vicino alla metropolitana ed è circondato da numerosi ristoranti e altre forme di intrattenimento. Soggiornando qui durante il Capodanno cinese potrai sentire i festeggiamenti intorno a te, con decorazioni e musica dai colori vivaci.
L'hotel è stato inoltre piacevolmente decorato con fiori nelle nostre camere e nella hall.
Consiglio vivamente questo posto a chiunque cerchi un soggiorno fantastico, a un prezzo ancora migliore, io e mia moglie torneremo sicuramente qui. Ho allegato alcune foto del mio soggiorno qui sotto.
