Parte del nostro tour Masai Mara ci ha comprato a Nakuru, dove ci siamo trasferiti per la notte. La cena era un buffet diffuso con una varietà da scegliere. Il colazione era piuttosto basilare con una varietà offerta. Abbiamo fatto un pranzo picnic all'hotel per vederci per la nostra partita. Le camere erano pulite, tranquille e avevamo tutto quello che ci serviva. Abbiamo ricevuto consiglio dal direttore di lasciare che l'acqua calda corresse per forse 5 minuti per riscaldare, ma era caldo abbastanza rapidamente. C'è un bar di tetto che guarda le aree (se si può essere svegli per il risveglio del sole si sarà sorpreso dai colori). In generale, ci è piaciuto il nostro soggiorno :)

Locali molto accoglienti, magnifica vista sul lago e i monti circostanti. Il personale è molto gentile e disponibile, le camere sono pulite e con acqua bollente, il soffione della doccia è da migliorare come l'illuminazione della camera che è un po' scarsa. Il giardino è molto bello e curato La Cucina molto buona e varia, eccellenti le carni Magnifico posto per passare un soggiorno piacevole al lago Nakuru. È presente anche il centro massaggi che non abbiamo provato e una carina piscina con vista panoramica.

We had the pleasure of hosting the Kenya Editors Guild’s Annual Convention at Sarova Woodlands, and it was nothing short of exceptional. From start to finish, the experience was flawless, thanks to the remarkable team and outstanding facilities. The hotel manager, Duncan Mwangi, went above and beyond to make us feel special, organizing a red-carpet reception for our delegates, including the Deputy President of Kenya, who graced the event as our chief guest. Duncan’s hands-on approach and constant presence ensured everything ran seamlessly throughout our stay. The Food and Beverage Manager, Donald Shipenzi, curated sumptuous meals that delighted our taste buds every single day. The culinary experience was second to none! A special mention goes to Senior Chef Damaris and her team, whose exquisite dishes were a true highlight. Their attention to detail, creativity, and passion for delivering outstanding meals made every meal a memorable event. A highlight of our stay was a magical sundowner and dinner at Sarova Lionhill within Lake Nakuru National Park. The breathtaking scenery, coupled with impeccable service, made it an unforgettable evening. The rooms at Sarova Woodlands are spacious, impeccably clean, and exude comfort. The entire staff demonstrated unmatched professionalism, warm hospitality, and excellent customer service, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all. We highly recommend Sarova Woodlands for any event or getaway. It’s a perfect blend of luxury, efficiency, and outstanding service. Thank you to the entire team for making our convention memorable! We will certainly be back.

Abbiamo soggiornato 1 sola notte prima di raggiungere il Masai Mara. La struttura è molto bella,immersa nel verde, tante piccole camere/casette che si arrampicano sulla collina con vista sul lago Nakuru. Per arrivarci un po' di strada sterrata dove avere un primo contatto con gli animali della zona (babbuini su tutti). Hotel di stile, sicuramente un plauso al personale, veramente molto gentile,educato e disponibile. La responsabile si è venuta a presentare immediatamente e messa a disposizione per qualsiasi cosa. Chiunque incontravamo ci chiedeva se andava tutto bene e/o si fermava a fare due chiacchiere per informarsi se avevamo bisogno di qualcosa. Cucina varia con servizio a buffet, devo dire tutto molto buono con postazioni anche di live cooking. Camere di buona metratura, con bagno grande e tutto molto pulito. Doppio room service (mattino per rifacimento camera+serale per preparazione alla notte) Lo consiglio assolutamente.

On Thursday 28th March I booked 7 rooms that I had paid a deposit well in advance. On arrival I was given a room with non working showers which I reported to the front office. On the morning of Friday 29th I was transferred into a nice room in the new Wing without much ado and was happy. Same Friday while so busy in a family event in Rongai I decided to put my phone on silent. Ours later I received several text messages from the Alps saying that they had tried calling me back in vain. Well I decided to call back and to my utter shock I was informed by a Miss Cynthia that since I c Wasn't reachable on phone, they had packed up my luggage and moved me back into my original place. She went on to say that someone urgently needed to occupy my room hence the reason for them relocating me in my absence. I was very angry because when leaving for my event, they had assured me that I would continue occupying the same room until my departure date ie Sunday 31st. I found my stuff packed in a very humiliating manner, and my privacy violated ! They packed my essentials including Toothbrushes, lingerie in my absence. I have tried reaching out to the Management in vain. They even charged us for Michelle's cancellation despite having informed them that she was only there for a night. We had to pay for her an extra night ie Friday 29th. I am warning everyone to keep off this Hotel. It is totally unacceptable to pack Guests luggage in their absence. Luckily nothing was stolen.
