"Firstly, it is a lie that the hotel is fully refurbished. It is not! We were given an old one-bedroom apartment that smelled of sewage. The alternate option, an old studio, also smelled of sewage. The hotel considered this normal and saw nothing wrong with the sewage smell. The lone receptionist on duty was incompetent, unhelpful, and clearly not qualified for the job. We were offered no apology for the situation whatsoever. They were indifferent, telling us that if we didn't like it, other guests would gladly book the room. We decided to check out that same night but were told the hotel would still charge us for one night because we had dropped off our bags earlier through their concierge and simply gone up to check that they were in order. This is truly shocking, considering we had only entered the apartment and left immediately. The hotel has no compassion or empathy for anyone. We are very disappointed, considering we have been regular guests at this hotel for the last 10 years. I would have expected a phone call from the Senior Manager after we checked out the next day. But no one even bothered to call or contact us. No compassion or empathy for their loyal guests. I am still waiting for my refund, even though I paid directly to the property."
