”Ho avuto recentemente il piacere di stare all'Aurika Hotel e sono stato profondamente impressionato. The hotel has a lovely setting, right on Juhu Beach, facing west. The sunsets are a beautiful sight. Getting there to and from the airport was relatively easy. A 30 minute taxi ride from the airport at midnight and a 20 minute ride to the airport at 06:00. Drinks and food are expensive for India. However food quality is excellent throughout the day. With regard to drinks unfortunately there was no draft beer available at all, and bottled beer was INR 700 for a small bottle. Wine was also very expensive. Staff and service were excellent at all times and in all departments. The pool is quite small for the size of hotel, but it was never busy. There was a disappointingly low number of pool loungers (10) provided, which were ‘reserved’ for the day early on. Shade availability at the pool was good. There is a lovely beachside bar, again with very good service, however please see below regarding parties. Bedrooms were large, well equipped and very comfortable. Everything you needed was there, and peace and quite levels were excellent, even though my room was next to the lift and stairs. Plenty of bottled water was available and this was regularly replenished. Bathrooms again were excellent with a wide range of accessories and consumable items provided. Security at the exterior of the hotel was first class. Inside the hotel access to the floors with rooms via lifts was protected by room key readers, but you could freely walk up the stairs! Safes were provided in rooms but mine wasn’t fixed down, so you could easily remove the whole safe were you minded to do so. I believe there was more secure safe storage available at the front desk, but I didn’t try to use it. The hotel had a wedding or a party outside by the beach every night we were there. These are spectacular events but the novelty soon wears off, and the loud music slightly spoils the outside pool or beachside experience. Overall very good.

I would choose “good” but 4 stars says “very good” so I’ll choose 3 instead. Service was attentive. Staff very pleasant and mean well. However the lack of myself misunderstanding Indian culture mixed with the lack of the staff (in particular the restaurant) not understanding fully what i am asking led to a lacklustre experience. For instance. It took 3 days to receive my requested “soft eggs” to be served soft. The rooms at first glance are very nice. But on second glance there are all sorts of ‘rough round the edges’ bodge job fixes applied. This all said. I had a great time. It’s just not 5 star or even 4. But a solid 3.5 star!

Questo affascinante hotel si trova molto vicino all'aeroporto. Il personale è molto caldo e amichevole e prende cura del loro ospite. Le camere sono pulite e spaziose e mi ricordano 5 proprietà stellari dal retro negli anni '90. Un buon posto per ospitare i matrimoni, perché hanno spazio per organizzare tutte le varie funzioni, ecc. L'unico e più grande inconveniente è la struttura dell'hotel. Raccomando veramente ai proprietari/***abitazione di ospitare un altro ascensore e lobby di scala, poiché il design dell'hotel è tale che le camere sono molto lontane dal lobby principale di ascensore e diventa un problema per viaggiare da un'altra estremità all'altra.

La mia recente esperienza all'Hotel Olten Mumbai (Andheri) è rimasta molto da desiderare. Dopo l'arrivo, ho trovato che la ricezione dell'hotel non era gentile, impostando un tono sfavorevole per il mio soggiorno. La posizione, situata in una zona grossa e troppo occupata, non ha contribuito a un ambiente pacifico, rendendolo sia pieno che rumoreso. Un incidente particolarmente disgustoso è avvenuto quando l'hotel ha rifiutato l'iscrizione di un ospite che mi accompagnava, che ha avuto un ID locale da Mumbai. Questo rifiuto ha aggiunto un inaspettato strato di inconvenienza, costringendoci a cercare alloggi alternativi dopo un lungo viaggio da Londra, e ciò che mi preoccupava più è stato l’apparente discrepanza nella valutazione dell’hotel. È diventato evidente che l'Hotel Olten non rispetta le leggi locali, sollevando domande circa l'accuratezza del suo rating. Inoltre, l'incontro scomodo di essere offerto un escursionismo fuori dalla zona di accoglienza era sia inappropriato che sconcertato. Dato il mio contesto e il mio interesse per l'industria dell'ospitalità, ritengo necessario contestare l'attuale rating dell'Hotel Olten. Il servizio fornito durante il mio soggiorno non è stato soddisfatto nemmeno i requisiti minimi previsti per un 4-star o 3-star stabilimento. In sostanza, l'esperienza sembrava più un alloggio e un a bordo di base che un hotel reputato. Continuando, mi sono impegnato a sostenere una rivalutazione dei rating dell'Hotel Olten sulla base delle evidenti carenze nel loro servizio.
