We went from 28 May to 4 June. We arrived just before midnight and so were advised to go straight for something to eat and then we were shown to our rooms. Good points - the resort is spotless, I think I saw two items of litter the whole holiday. The food at the buffet was the best of any all inclusive hotel I have been to. Being able to eat at the a la carte restaurants was also a treat. We managed to eat at them all and our favourites were Mademi and Pithos. You can only book one day in advance so top tip is to download the app and at 7.30am bookings for the restaurants open for the following day. This way we got to try all of the restaurants and the food at them all was very impressive and beautifully presented. We weren’t a fan of the main pool which was very busy, Sun loungers were saved early on. But if you explore you will find a pool that suits you. We loved the Pithos Pool, there were always sun loungers available and at times we had the pool to ourselves. Other pools also had loungers available throughout the day. We also weren’t a fan of the beach which is more pebbles than sand and packed with sun loungers but we loved the spot by the sea next to the Medemi restaurant. We always managed to grab a sun lounger and the view of the sea was much prettier here. Great spot for snorkelling. The gyros bar by the main pool is worth a visit for chicken or pork in a pitta wrap with salad and fries. There is also a smoothie/juice bar and ice cream bar next door. The outdoor cinema was also great although we got bitten a lot by mosquitoes so wear protection. The tv in the room had Netflix and YouTube which was great for the day of bad weather we had during our stay. We did struggle to find shelter during a thunderstorm because the bar area was busy but in the original reception area opposite the Estia restaurant we discovered another indoor bar area with lots of seating. The entertainment is less visible than other resorts but I suspect it is just because the resort is so big. They are based by the pool near the water slides. We watched the circus show one evening and the Disney show, both were very good. The staff are all very friendly and clearly take pride in the resort. On one evening my daughter left her bag in a restaurant and as soon as we realised we went to reception and were very impressed that it had already been handed in. We also left a tv fire stick in our room. My husband emailed the hotel to ask for it to just be removed and destroyed. The hotel replied within a few hours to say they had retrieved the device and had posted it back to us. Assuming it arrives back we are very impressed by this level of service. Few ******s if we are being picky… We booked sea view rooms but were on the side of the hotel so had to stand at the edge of the balcony and turn our heads to see a little bit of sea, which was a little disappointing. We were only ever offered one drink with the buffet meals and even with the a la carte book

Having stayed there in October (outside of the high season!), i enjoyed it very much. Great central location with plenty of shops and bars around, also close to the beach and the pick-up spot for excursions. I was lucky enough to get a free room upgrade with view on the busy street. The windows and curtains isolate very well so I didn’t have any trouble from the noise or light. There’s a really nice pool area with DJ’s in the afternoon and entertainment in the evening. The breakfast buffet is really huge and good and the restaurant in the evening is well worth it too. I also tried the massage and tattoo shop, and these were also great! A special thanks to the super friendly staff (especially the ladies at the reception but also their colleagues from the bar) for making my stay so enjoyable! Keep up the good job :-) I have to dig very deep to find possible improvements…. Maybe give the possibility to get a coffee in the early morning (it’s hard to wait for a coffee until 7.30 when the breakfast starts, if you wake up at 06.00 haha). Oh, and always serve espresso martini in martini glasses, not in plastic black cups ;-) I’ll gladly come back here!

Appena arrivati ci è stato fatto un upgrade gratuito con due camere adiacenti invece di una familiare e situate nella struttura principale e non nelle dependance e questa è stata davvero una gradita sorpresa. L'ingresso del resort si trova sulla strada principale ad hersonissos quindi location perfetta per lo shopping, vicina a ristoranti e supermarkets , noleggi auto/quad/moto, nonchè a varie agenzie di tour guidati dell'isola, e molto importante a due passi dalla fermata autobus. Fronte mare: spiaggia con sabbia ed acqua cristallina, ma ci si può rilassare su sdraio e lettoni in diversi punti come ad esempio nelle vicinanze dell'acqua bar e bordi piscine. Con la formula all inclusive vai sul sicuro perchè puoi usufruire di diversi punti di ristoro che serve dell'ottimo cibo , molto vario , con piatti internazionali e grechi (moussaka, verdure ripiene, baklavas, souvlaki e greek salad, ecc) . Da provare ” La strada ” ristorante che serve ottime pietanze della nostra cucina Italiana, il Burger bistrot (gratuito nell'all inclusive), e la cucina asiatica servita in un locale adiacente al Minoan restaurant una volta la settimana. Particolare attenzione viene data alla colazione dove trovi di tutto , frutta fresca tagliata, salumi, formaggi, pan cake , joghurts , marmellate, almeno 12 varietà di pane, nutella, biscotti, dolci, plum cake, croissants almeno 3/4 tipi, uova sode, strappazzate, frittata , all'occhio di bue, salsiccia e chi più ne ha più ne metta ! Tutte le sere ci son serate d'intrattenimento per gli ospiti al Romantic bar, balli e cantanti greci , serata karaoke, ecc , mentre di giorno acqua gym , tornei beach volley , bocce ecc. Un giorno abbiamo pure assistito alla preparazione di un liquore cretese fatto con miele ed un distillato di vinacce con relativa degustazione , buonissimo ! Con occhio critico posso dire che magari il servizio alle camere può essere perfezionato ma niente di più perchè comunque le pulizie ed il riordino, sono giornaliere e regolari. La vera differenza al Silva Beach Hotel però la fa il personale, instancabile, che ti accoglie sempre con il sorriso , è sempre pronto ad esaudire ogni richiesta o dare indicazioni , scambiare quattro parole , e coccolarti. Un grande plauso ed un ringraziamento a tutti quanti , anche se in particolare a Maria, Gianna e il Maitre della sala, lo Chef e le Cuoche , Alla Konnie e Haroula accoglienza e ricevimento , Zacharias e manolas del Bar, e il nostro Amico Bobo dell'animazione . Tutto perfetto , 6 giorni di assoluto relax e rigenerazione totale !
