Good hotel in Silicon Valley. Many guests pick this hotel because of the strategic location. Aloft is one of the Marriott properties so hopefully hotel can meet the Marriott standard

The staff was top notch, professional and accommodating. Having 2 king size beds in 1 room was essential for us, mom's recovery from surgery.

실리콘밸리 중심에 위치해 있고 주변이 매우 안전한 지역입니다. 길 건너편에 베스트 바이도 있고 한국인 입맛에 맞는 일식집도 있습니다. 15분 거리에는 산호세, 50분 정도면 샌프란시스코, 30분 정도면 해프문베이에서 태평양을 볼 수도 있습니다.

Stayed here for the last night of an otherwise spectacular 8-day California road trip before flying home from SJC. I've already enthusiastically posted about the six other lodgings during the trip - five getting 5 stars with one 4-star. Our Aloft visit started with odd annoyances (loud, profane music blaring from a speaker 10 feet from check in, having to ask for a parking pass only after noticing other cars have them, no cups/glasses in room, just lids; different room layout than booked, high, odd amount held on credit card just for incidentals, etc.) which we took in stride until the point where we had to genuinely ask whether our room had received proper housekeeping since the prior stay. Approximately 2 dozen squares of toilet paper were provided. As I had suspected (and informed the front desk in the beginning), the odd amount was a mistake. So, after the bad stay, I still had to deal with the "hold for incidentals" getting completely posted to my credit card -- for a prepaid room. I gave a second star because the billing issue was corrected promptly after bringing it to their attention post-stay and the GM did personally extend an apology and acknowledgement of the substandard experience. I appreciate both that and the fact that the two employees I dealt with face-to-face or over the phone were always professional and diligent in trying to help. I recognize the efforts they are making in a difficult situation.

Considering the price I paid for my stay ($300/night), I would say this is just over priced motel. No breakfast and on my third morning even coffee was missing. I would expect higher performance with the service. Facility was average with hardwood floor in rooms. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

There aren't many options for Marriott brands in the peninsula area, so I usually end up here when visiting for business as a Bonvoy member. While it has some small charms, it's really showing its age and I'm starting to consider my alternatives. Part of this is because every time I've stayed here, it's been $299+ per night, and I just don't think this property does anything to warrant a price tag higher than $200/night. Pros: - Hardwood floors in the rooms. I am sure if they had carpets in there they would show the age of the room so the hardwood is much more hygienic. - Good location near 85/237 freeways - Comfortable and sanitary beds - Good quality hair dryer - Free parking onsite - Gym - Desk staff are very accommodating and working with the limited resources they have. I can tell they're understaffed. Cons: - Rooms are SO hit or miss. First room I had on this trip had an AC unit that was not working. I was moved again to another room where the blinds were not closing so that everyone on the street could look in. Finally placed in a room with the basics being functional. The toilet in that room had issues but I gave up trying to be moved around again. - Service has been cut back. I've been here about 5 times over the past 12 months and each time "staffing issues" have gotten worse and worse. On this trip I was told housekeeping would only be once every 4 days due to "staffing issues." I read this as an issue with management perhaps not wanting to pay employees any more / Marriott pushing for corporate profits over quality. - Location is not great for walkability. Few restaurants within walking distance, you need to drive (and the onsite bar isn't really worth it). I'd say: have lower expectations, this place is essentially a motel. Nice staff, but still very much a motel.

Room was never cleaned. Only one regular coffee pod in room - whole stay. Requested more and promised. None came. Breakfast appeared to be mostly unappetizing prepackaged items more suitable for a vending machine than a hotel restaurant.

The front desk staff who checked me in was great, Peau, fast checked in, practiced active listening, and provided good instructions from the parking lot to the room. The room was well cleaned with functional design. Quiet, easy parking. Great hot shower temperature. When check out, the front desk asked repetitive and redundant questions in wanting to verify my credit info on file again. This info they just verified the night before at check-in. This is the only reason this hotel that's negative. Otherwise, this hotel would really have received a 5 out of 5. I feel comfortable recommending this hotel. It's in a centralized location in Silicon Valley.

We had a nice stay, slept like babies, the bed was so comfortable and cozy. We would definitely stay here again. Staff was on top of everything and were very courteous. Greeted us when we came in and when we left. Perfect for a quick getaway with your loved one.

The important things when you’re traveling is the customer service. I stayed at the Aloft for about a week and a half. The staff was kind and so welcoming. Andy , and Chris at FD were so amazing, please stop by the bar to meet Selvin. The Manager Amelia was absolutely incredible. The rooms are rugless which is a plus!! And the rooms are very clean. I loved my stay and will be back!!

Great value for a fantastic hotel. Lobby, as well as outside area is spacious and bright with lots of seating areas. Staff is very friendly. The room is bright with lots of space. The two king size beds are perfect for a family do 4. There is no carpeting, which is one of the reasons we picked this hotel. The room has lots of outlets and truly made for comfort. Castro Street is a quickly drove away and offers lots of food options. We would definitely stay here again.

On check-in, nightstand was sticky with some previous spill. The next morning I asked the front desk to ask housekeeping to clean it up. I also asked them to make sure to leave non-decaf coffee pods, which were lacking. Neither of these requests was met over my five-night stay, even after I left a note in the room reiterating them. Toilet did not flush without opening tank and jiggling mechanism. I also asked the front desk to have this fixed. It was not fixed during my stay. Laundry order form specified same-day service with drop off before 9am. I dropped my laundry at 8am and the front desk person took it without comment. It was not done that day. The person on duty in the evening did not know why, and said he would find out whether it could be done the next day and whether the hotel could offer some kind of compensation. Never heard from him again. The next morning I again asked the person at the front desk and she said laundry had to be dropped off by 7am for same-day service. She was totally unapologetic, her attitude being that it was somehow my fault that the order form was wrong and the evening desk person was uninformed and unresponsive.
