Hotel in zona Plaza Ex Terminal Goes, Montevideo

As a Canadian traveler with large family, this boutique hotel in central Montevideo was one of the finest places I have stayed at. The front lobby staff (especially Laura) were incredibly helpful and English was very good. They are available on whatsapp to answer questions prior to your visit. The roof top breakfast dining was really great spread with hot meals. The location is generally safe and walking distance to the central commercial district. The famous Palacio Salvo and Plaza Independencia are a block away. Lots of eateries (Americano Cafe really good), pharmacies, laundry, and convenience stores. The history of revitilzation of this hotel reminded me of the incredible boutique hotels of Queen St W in Toronto (a bit like Drake Hotel with a more family feel). The rooms are not large as it is an older building conversion but offers a comfortable and clean upgrade.

hotel un pò fanè ma bellissimo, con con bagno privato enorme e balcone. Un magnifico ascensore porta al piano e al 6°, dopo una breve stretta rampa, c'è una terrazza con splendida vista del fiume e dei tetti. E' centralissimo ma di notte si riposa bene. Non è' prevista la colazione, ma ogni mattina c'era un termos di latte e uno di caffè caldi a disposizione oltre a dolci buonissimi. le signore della reception sono gentilissime al contrario di camerieri e tassisti. consigliatissimo

L'atteggiamento del servizio della ricetta è buono, la stanza è in regola e il viaggio è in ordine.L'unico dolore è che il weekend è finito, il bar di tutta la strada è un carnaval di notte, il suono di Judy è molto dolce e influenza il sonno.La prossima stima non vivrà più.

We stayed here for one night in mid-January and found it to be a wonderful location, right in the heart of the old city. We were walking distance to the port, areas of the old town, and many attractions and plazas. The staff was very friendly and happy to answer questions in English, recommending restaurants and sights to see. They were also happy to hold our luggage for us the day we checked out until our afternoon departure. Each room is apparently unique, and ours was beautiful, with a comfortable bed and an obviously updated bathroom with modern fittings and conveniences. Our room was on the first floor (one above ground level) and we did hear some road noise in the morning as the city started walking, so if you're concerned about noise you may want to request a higher floor. Breakfast was included in our stay and had very good options, both hot and cold.

I stayed at this lovely hotel a number of times in April and May of this year 2023.This hotel is located in the heart of the Ciutad Vieja,the Old City, in Montevideo.The location is very convenient to the sights,attractions and restaurants of this part of the city.Check-in was handled speedily and the room I was given was clean and inviting.I want to pay tribute to the staff who were always friendly and helpful-Oscar,Francisco and Reuben...The ladies who operated the breakfast buffet were also friendly and welcoming....This is a lovely place to stay and a staff member is always available to assist with booking a taxi....I am happy to recommend this place and gladly give it 10 out of 10.

We had no problems with the hotel, its location or cleanliness. However, we were double charged for our room back in March 2022 and 7 months later have still not received a refund. Upon check in the girl charged our credit card the incorrect amount for our booking. When I pointed out the error, she recharged my credit card in the correct amount and said she would issue a credit once she asked someone who knew how to process it. Shortly after we were issued a credit and given the appropriate slips indicating the 2 charges and the credit charges to my card. When we arrived home I noticed 2 charges from the hotel on my credit card statement but no credit. For some reason the credit has never processed to my credit card. Up on closer inspection of the credit slip I noticed it says INCORRECTO at the bottom and therefore never got processed. I have sent numerous emails trying contact someone at the hotel since this booking trying to get my $463.50 USD refund; and no one will return my emails or my phone calls. I even had the booking agency contact the hotel (***********) and they still will not correct this matter. This is not a big hotel (it has 21 rooms) and at the time of our stay it had very few bookings so reconciling this matter should not be a problem. I wonder if they make a practice of doing this type of thing??

The. location is excellent, close to the beach, near a big shopping mall, and in one of the best neighborhoods. The staff is very attentive and warm. The rooms are big and comfortable Clean hotel. Breakfast is typically Uruguayan, and has some more options.

Excelente todo, la ubicación, las habitaciones, el desayuno y sobretodo el trato del personal. Sumamente recomendable! Sin duda para repetir. Estuvimos en una habitación de 4 y fue super cómodo todo , la cocina americana un plus.

Il servizio in questo hotel è stato, a distanza e lontano, il migliore che abbia mai avuto in tutto l'Uruguay. E ho guidato la maggior parte di esso. Solo persone fantastiche, un luogo davvero eccezionale e strutture molto belle. Se sei a Montevideo, è davvero la tua scelta migliore.
