When we arrived at the hotel, the windows were completely removed from the wall. There was a distinct smell of **** and the room was had a dirty coffee pot and a broken picture frame. We called downstairs and the front desk worker came up, but was unable to put the window back on their own so my husband had to do it. She said to talk to her manager in the morning, but that she could not give us another room since they were booked up as were the other hotels around us. We decided to stay, but the room was not great. We tried to talk to the manager that morning, but she was not available. I was able to talk to her a couple days later and she offered a free stay in her hotel since she could not discount hotels.com, but instead offered ihg points since we could not stay in her hotel again. When she offered the ihg points, she made it sound like it would give us another room at another hotel. A week later we tried to book at another hotel, but it would not even cover a discount on a room. It was the equivalent of $50 for a room we paid over $200. I tried calling IHG, but they were no help since they said she gave the discount. I was very upset since I felt the manager was not 100% up front with us, and I would have never accepted a $50 discount for a room that was such a mess and to which I woke up every couple hours smelling the **** in the air. Not a peaceful stay at all and unacceptable customer service on the part of the manager and IHG.
