Wave Street Inn

Check in was smooth and they let us in about 30 mins early. All of the staff is very friendly and pleasant! They gave us a goodie bag with some snacks in it. Internet speed is fast, they have Xfinity for TV. The garage has in and out privileges until 4pm the next day. Very handy since the hotel is located right next to cannery row and if you want to go somewhere else you can take your car and go without worrying about your parking spot being gone or having to pay again for parking. The bonfire they have from 5pm-10pm is pleasant. When we went there was no one else out there but it is a nice area to hang out outside with a fire.

If you're looking for a convenient hotel with no frills, the Wave Street Inn is great. Rooms are clean and location is great for Cannery Row and Aquarium. No onsite dining or snacks, but everything you need is close by. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Onsite parking available at a charge of $17/nt.

Very nice hotel. The rooms are clean and within walking distance to eateries and the Monterey Bay aquarium. Downside is they don't offer breakfast.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Wave Street Inn. Carol, at the front desk, was an absolute gem. She was so friendly, helpful, and kind that we would go back just to visit her!! The hotel itself was very nice. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, the beds are comfortable, TVs had several options to choose from (not that you’re there to watch TV when there’s beautiful Monterey right outside), shower had good water pressure, and there were ample outlet options to plug in devices. I had some work to do (unfortunately) and there was plenty of desk space and good, free wifi available. We did not bring a car, but the parking garage looked easily accessible from the street. The hotel was a short 5-10 minute walk from the beach, the aquarium, and several eating and shopping options. The old fisherman’s wharf is about a 20 minute walk on a nice, paved pedestrian trail. Make sure to take a whale watching cruise while in town! We also took a bus to the Monarch Sanctuary (worth a visit, too, if you’re there at the right time of year). The buses nearby run about every hour and the stop is right around the corner from the Wave Street Inn, next to the CVS.

A comfortable stay with stress free parking. 10 minute walk to the aquarium. Perfect spot for the ease of adventuring Monterey.

Staff was very friendly, room was clean, great location. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Got there a little early. Very accommodating. Our room was ready. King size with ocean view. Clean room. Good size. Big bathroom. Pretty comfortable bed. Noisy heater in bay window with black out curtain inboard of the heater so can’t drop curtain all the way without blocking the heater. Able to block most of street light just not all. Convenient parking on site for minimal cost. Great cafe across the street. Will be back.

Great location! Excellent service. The only downside is that you are required to pay for parking that is part of their hotel. Little things like that are very frustrating.

The inn is well located and a nice property. The beds were comfortable but the noise we experienced from the room directly above us was very frustrating. It seemed like there was no insulation installed when the inn was constructed. The amount of noise we experienced from the room above affected our ability to sleep very well. Of course I don’t know if this is an issue with all the rooms, only the one we stayed in.
