Hotel in zona Norwood Seventh-day Adventist Church, Montego Bay

Really enjoyed my stay here. The location is everything!! Pros: 15-30 min walk from Doc Cave’s Beach , M’garitaville, One Man Beach, and Harmony Beach Park I opted for the private room with dbl bed. Room was quite comfortable. Maria, one of the most friendly souls on the planet, checked me in and offered lots of suggestions on things to do and see in the area. Hi’Lo supermarket at corner of hostel for all your necessities. Just a Couple of suggestions to the manager: when the bathroom is shared, and when one of the 2 toilets aren’t in working order, that needs to be repaired as quickly as possible. Also couldn’t hurt to wipe down the walls and bathroom doors every now and then. Stains show badly on white paint. Would definitely stay here again. Staying here, You will save tons of money to spend on nice restaurants and activities, which was the whole point of vacationing with a local flare. Ho soggiornato a “ Half Moon” e ho avuto il piacere di cenare a “DELMARE RESTAURANT” , cucina Italiana. Sempre un po’ scettica la scelta della cucina Italiana all’estero, ma il ristorante DALMARE è stato caldamente consigliato e quindi doveroso accertare l’unicità della cucina italiana in Giamaica Personale estremamente cordiale con il viso sempre sorridente e pronto a soddisfare ogni esigenza La tavola preparata in modo semplice ma raffinata Non voglio prolungarmi e annoiare con descrizione dei piatti ma evidenziare la ricercatezza dei veri e antichi sapori italiani… pane, grissini focaccia schiacciatine….burro e acciughe -che risvegliano i ricordi da bambina delle vacanze passate in Liguria - polipo con le patate, la fritturina di pesce …. e il resto ve lo lascio scoprire Cosa posso dire esperienza super positiva e consigliata. Voto da 0 a 10: 9,8 solo per colpa mia, conosco poco l’inglese e la barriera linguistica non mi ha dato modo di poter apprezzare anche nella descrizione di questi piatti

Overall great resort. Very clean, rooms are nice size, resort is huge and food is magnificent. Food at all restaurants are 10/10 and they have many fire pits around and hot tubs for late night chillin. I will recommend this resort to anyone and will definitely be back in the future.

TRANSFER TIME - approx. 20 mins from airport HOTEL STAFF - some of the staff have been fantastic - Kellon (special-K) is a fantastic, wonderful man and we have loved chatting with him. Also a special mention for Trevayne and Gary but this can’t be said across the board. If you have an issue or problem, don’t expect it to be sorted out. The typical response is ‘there isn’t much we can do….’ ROOMS - Rooms are dated and could do with modernising. We had a 2 bedroom part-ocean view in block C (3 accommodation blocks). Block C is furthest away from what I would call the ‘party pool’ and where evening entertainment happens, however, our room was still extremely noisy at night - it is NOT soundproof at all. The wind gusts through the whole suite through poorly fitted doors and windows. The room overlooks the main road on one side which means more noise on top of the wind and on the last night (after no sleep for 7 nights) there was a big wedding right outside of the room with no forewarning from the hotel at all.i have a health condition that relies on getting good sleep and the hotel wasn’t interested in sorting it out in the slightest. Our room also has a kitchenette area (you may see these in the photographs) but don’t expect to be able to use it - there are no pots and pans, crockery etc and no kettle/coffee maker. Other than the fridge - it’s kind of a bit pointless being there. The fridge is stocked with fizzy drink, bottled water and cans of red *****e beer. Rooms are cool enough with the air conditioning (this is from someone who can get very hot and needs good air conditioning). FACILITIES - there are two pools and a man-made beach area. There are more limited sunbeds around the pools compared to the beach which has lots of sunbeds (the ocean is warmer than the pools). I would describe one pool as being quieter than the other. I didn’t visit the gym or spa and didn’t have need for the kids facilities. There is entertainment but we don’t really access this when on holiday so I can’t comment much on it. Sunbed towels are readily available at no extra charge or deposit. FOOD AND DRINK - if you are looking for a traditional ‘buffet’ style eating system then this isn’t for you. There is a buffet for breakfast and lunch but bot for the evening meal. For this you go to one of restaurants having prebooked a table or just turn up and then wait for a table to become available (we never waited longer than 30mins). There is a steakhouse, Italian, Asian food, mexican food. My husband has an unusual food allergy which I tried to sort out with staff but they never seemed to understand what the issue was - so he ended up eating steak for dinner most days and us eating separately so my so and I could wat more varied food. Not what you want on a family holiday, eating in separate locations. I have no idea why we couldn’t pre-order something before the different coatings a d spices were added. a few days which was frustrating. Breakfast is ok - can sometime
