My recent stay at this hotel was unfortunately a mixed experience, with several areas needing significant improvement. Check-in Experience: We arrived at the hotel around 1 pm and were informed that our room would be ready by 2 pm. While we understood that delays can happen due to cleaning and late check-outs, it wasn't until 2:30 pm that we were finally given access. The wait at the reception was also less than ideal, with only one or two receptionists available to serve a large number of guests. The lack of organization in the line caused further frustration, and I believe the hotel should have had someone managing the queue to streamline the process. Room and Cleanliness: Upon finally entering our room at 3 pm, we were disappointed to find that it hadn't been cleaned yet. We had to store our luggage in the room and return later to find it cleaned. The towel situation was particularly frustrating. We were provided with only three towels for three people, which is far below the standard two towels per person that most hotels offer. To make matters worse, the towels were not replaced daily, and on one occasion, we received small hand towels that smelled bad. On another day, no towels were replaced at all. This lack of proper towel service was a significant issue during our stay. Facilities: The hotel features two pools, one of which is a smaller, quieter pool that we found enjoyable. However, the larger pool, divided by a staircase, was consistently overcrowded, making it difficult to enjoy. The beach was also a letdown, with dirty water and no sandy shore. Dining Experience: The restaurant's food was average at best. On several occasions, we struggled to find a table, and when we did, the tables were often dirty, with no utensils or water provided. The staff appeared to prioritize foreign guests over Tunisian ones, which was disappointing. Additionally, it was disheartening to see some guests taking excessive amounts of food, but this was more of a reflection on the guests than the hotel. Bars and Lounge Areas: One of the most disappointing aspects of our stay was the condition of the bars and lounge areas. The floors in the bars were consistently dirty, and it seemed as though they were not being cleaned regularly. This lack of cleanliness extended to the tables and chairs, which often had leftover crumbs, sticky surfaces, and spills that hadn't been wiped up. The chairs were a particular issue; they seemed to soak up water, likely from guests who were wet from the pool, making it uncomfortable to sit down. On several occasions, we even noticed that some of the chairs appeared to have been soiled by children, adding to the unpleasantness. This overall lack of cleanliness in the bars created an unsanitary and unwelcoming environment, which significantly detracted from our ability to relax and enjoy our time at the hotel.
