Grand Texan Hotel and Convention Center

the room was clean. I found it strange that the tv was unplugged. but the overall stay was good. it's not real close to many places to eat. so, you will have to go into town for that.

They stay was horrible I was harassed when they come knock on the for check out and didn’t even give me time to open and just bust the door open I was talked too very rudely I’ve been lied too from the first day I checked in … I would definitely not recommend

My husband stayed here for a night before he went back to work to start his job. It was advertised there was a shuttle service from the airport to the hotel. There was no shuttle service. The hotel room was dirty. Towels were dirty. Soap was dirty. The bed and pillows were also dirty. The coffee was 4 years expired. They advertised free breakfast. The only thing there was for breakfast was scrambled eggs and beans. They advertised a pool. It was out of order. They refused to give a refund for all the lies and bad service. Please don't waste your money on this place.

We needed a clean bed and shower and Grand Texan Hotel provided all this. My only complaint is that breakfast stopped being served at 8:45 a.m., which I think is a little early. It was a very last minute reservation that we needed and a room was available, late check in was okay.

Overcharged. Promised services not delivered. No pool. No restaurant. No breakfast. Terrible room. I have not stayed in every hotel in Midland, so I can't say it's the worst, but I know you'll be happier somewhere else.

Our room was clean and comfortable; a bit worn but not badly. It was the best hotel bargain we have seen in a long time of lots of travel. The breakfast buffet was odd -- only styrofoam plates that could not be microwaved. No water. Coffee was available but quite a distance away in the front lobby. However, there were unusual but great food options for the microwave -- chicken and cheese quesadillas, taquitos and kolache with delicious sausage. Considering how many motels have given up serving breakfast at all, and considering the tasty food options, it was fantastic.....again, because it was such a fabulous price. As a convention center it is struggling to stay alive after Covid; the lobby area is lovely and there's an atrium, although we never went to look at it. If you want comfort and affordability, expecting to get what you pay for, this is a FABULOUS place. We'd stay again if we pass back through Midland. I am labeling service as 'poor' because it was hard to find employees....but when we did, they were extremely thoughtful and eager to please. It seemed they needed a few more employees, but we know those are hard to find these days, and as the motel is struggling to hang on till better times come again.
