Tutto perfetto, posizione splendida sul mare, ma soprattutto ad Es Castell, luogo tranquillo e molto carino, soprattutto nella zona di Cales Fonts, pulizia super, efficienza nella sistemazione dei guasti, personale disponibile e gentile, cibo di qualità e vario, l'unico neo la nostra stanza non aveva il balcone. Avendo prenotato una superior e stando 11 giorni, ci aspettavamo una camera, anche interna, ma con balcone, perché far asciugare costumi e teli da mare era davvero un'impresa. Dalla finestra si vedeva un pezzo di mare, ma avremmo preferito una camera anche vista piscina, come da descrizione delle superior, ma con balcone. Io avrei voluto farmi cambiare la stanza, ma mio marito non ha voluto che disturbassi...nell'assegnazione delle camere forse occorrerebbe maggiore attenzione anche al tempo di permanenza dell'ospite, ovviamente nel rispetto della tipologia di camera prenotata. A parte questa nota stonata, se si vuole soggiornare a Minorca, girarla in lungo e in largo e avere un soggiorno confortevole, il Barcelò Hamilton é assolutamente il luogo migliore

We have just returned from two glorious weeks at this lovely hotel. We had a beautiful room overlooking the start of the estuary and the Isle de Rei. The morning sunrise was just fabulous! I had read before my visit that although the walk-in showers had been completed, the rooms themselves needed a refurbish. Well the bathroom is lovely. You have shampoo, bath wash and gorgeous body milk. Beautiful shower area. Such a delight! Yes, the rooms are looking well worn, but my only criticism would be lack of drawer space. If you are staying for two weeks it can be tricky to keep your clothes ‘tidy’ all piled up in the wardrobe. The hotel is blessed with the most wonderful happy staff! Thank you to all we met who enhanced our stay with their positive attitude. Special mention has to go though to Harold at the bar. A true professional! His cocktails never disappointed ! The food in the dining room was really good when we arrived. Lots of choice and of a very good quality. Towards the end of our stay, when numbers dwindled, there was still a great display of Menorcan foods, meats and cheeses. The soup was divine, and the different breads just lovely. Salads were plentiful and varied, and the puddings were scrumptious! There was still always something tasty and different to choose every evening. The chefs were continually checking the food and replacing it when necessary. Cleo and Alexander were great hosts. There was low key entertainment twice a week. Good singers, and we particularly loved the jazz trio on the last evening. They put their own take on many popular songs and did it very well. Es Castell is full of history, and we enjoyed visiting Mahon. You can either walk for about 15 to 20 mins, or catch a bus into the station. From here you can use the buses to visit other places very easily. Or walk down into the town and take in all the sights! There is a fish market and attached to it an area which does tapas and all different kinds fishy snacks. On our last Saturday there was music and it made for a lovely atmosphere. Would we return to the Agamemon? Certainly we will! The views are a delight, always something different going on.

This hotel was booked for us by our travel agent. It’s only 11 minutes from the airport and located near the center of Mahon and the port. There aren’t any beaches in this immediate location so you’ll either need a car, taxi, or excursion to get to beaches if that’s what you’re looking for. If it’s the only thing you’re looking for, stay in another town where beaches are in walking distance. I’d hate for the area to get a bad review because assumptions were made. It’s got it’s own charm and it should be appreciated. Check-in was easy. Don’t fret when you see the sign to enter the reception area. It says hostal, but the reception area is for both the hostal of the building you walk into and the separate hotel rooms you’ll stay in in another building. Our room was on the first floor. It was a good size, clean, with simple decorations. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure strong, and the hot water was HOT. You shouldn’t have an issue relaxing here and getting a good night’s rest. The breakfast was very good and we loved the B&B feel. You had someone serving you breakfast, coffee, etc. It added a nice personal touch. The room was made daily and they did a phenomenal job. There was no safe in the room, but the area is extremely safe and there are cameras in the lobby area. The area is picturesque. Part of its charm is getting lost in the narrow streets and I advise you do. Menorca sticks to its Spanish roots and traditions so expect it to be very quiet after lunch. Some stores and restaurants even close until dinner time which is pretty late (8:00pm). This was the case when we arrived, but it did give us plenty opportunity for pictures without battling tourists for a “good spot”, lol. There isn’t a “nightlife” here in the traditional sense. Your best bet would be near the boardwalk. You’ll want to stay in another town for that which we were told is the “party area”, but after being in Menorca for a few days we learned the island itself is much slower paced and traditional. We appreciated that since we came from Barcelona where it’s much more crowded and busy. Lastly, parking would’ve been tough and we didn’t rent a car. Having a car would’ve probably made things a little easier and cheaper. We had to go to Fornells which is 25 minutes away for our excursion departures. At the time of writing, it was about 35 euros for a trip there and another 30-35 for the trip back. You can make the decision on if you’d benefit from a car, but for us being here a few days it didn’t make the most sense. All in all, I’d highly recommend this hotel and ended up enjoying the location, slow pace, and relaxing vibes.

L’hotel è moderno, la colazione e la cena a buffet ricca con acqua alla spina gratis,il resto delle bevande si paga. La piscina si può usare anche il giorno della partenza,la vista mare dalla camera,la vicinanza all’aeroporto,la pulizia generale,l’animazione di sera con spettacoli e musica( es.serata con ballerine di flamenco). A cena non c’è mai stata la paella che invece abbiamo sempre trovato negli altri hotel che siamo stati a Maiorca e Ibiza e neanche i gamberoni, il pesce è sempre un po’ ripetitivo. La pulizia dei piatti,delle posate e delle tovagliette potrebbe essere migliore. Il personale non parla italiano, come in quasi tutta l’isola,ma solo spagnolo e inglese. Vi auguriamo buona continuazione!

Abbiamo trascorso 4 giorni di alloggio in questo hotel, non andiamo solitamente a hotel a 3 stelle, ma con la forte domanda che c'era sull'isola abbiamo deciso di alloggiare qui. È un piccolo hotel ma confortevole, la camera e il bagno erano puliti l'accesso per codice è comodo per non dover camminare con la tipica chiave. Il villaggio è molto buono e ha un piccolo passeggiata con diversi ristoranti accanto. L'unica penna che metto è che manca una macchina vending, per avere acqua o qualcosa da mangiare. Nella stessa strada c'è una ”congelatoria” abbiamo fatto colazione 1 giorno x 12 € non lo consiglio né camminare.

Situazione vicino al porto, terribile personale di accoglienza, appartamento luminoso e aria. Acqua non calda il primo giorno di arrivo. Le mattresse del letto si fanno male al ritorno. Le mattresse sono messe sul letto immediatamente. Viaggiato a casa con il ritorno ancora doloroso. Le sedie e i sedili (letto) si sentono molto duri quando si siedono su di loro. Non ci sarebbe stato un tavolo da tagliare che sarebbe utile. Altrimenti, abbastanza attrezzato per la cura personale. Wi-Fi doveva essere rilogato spesso. Gcilla sulla reception incredibilmente utile, amichevole, efficiente e proattivo. Qualsiasi domanda o problema è stato ordinato immediatamente. L'appartamento è stato pulito e senza spot quando siamo arrivati. Molto buon valore per soldi. Le richieste di pre-arrivo sono state soddisfatte. La camera 26 ha una bella vista sulla piscina.Molto tranquilla a notte e poche persone rimangono. Posso immaginare che durante la stagione alta sarà molto più occupato e rumore. Una posizione terribile tra la città e il porto.
