We stayed at the Riu Palace for 17 days. The hotel is very clean and the country is amazing!! We can say the food is among the best. It is excellent, with a well-balanced mix of flavors. The staff in the main restaurant is amazing— special thanks to Mary and Temitayo! The food at Krystal is also very good. The food and service at the elite club restaurant (dinner) are average. The drinks are excellent, especially those made by Arouven. Big compliments to Arouven, the best bartender we’ve encountered at any Riu hotel we’ve visited! The Elite Club services are good. The lounge chairs are fantastic, and the service at the Elite Club bar is solid. Suggestions are implemented promptly. There is now waiter service at the Elite pool, and several small improvements have been made. The private pools are heated, but the Elite Club pool was only heated for one day during our stay. It’s nice to have a special breakfast area with an amazing view (Elite Club). The room is spacious (suite swim-up), very clean, and equipped with everything you need. If you need something, just use the app, and within 30 minutes, everything is taken care of. This hotel can definitely be rated as a 5-star hotel. Everything is clean, the food is excellent, the staff is very friendly, and the drinks are amazing! Special thanks to Henna at the front desk—she is the friendliest and most professional front desk employee we’ve ever met! Big compliment! Snorkeling in front of the hotel is incredible, with many different fish and coral. Be mindful of changing winds that can quickly alter the direction of the waves. Lifeguard services are available upon request, and you can always ask a friendly surfer for help if needed. We recommend wearing a life jacket to fully enjoy the water. The beach is clean and stunning—don’t miss the sunset from the beach! Overall, a huge compliment to the staff. This hotel is a true 5-star Riu Palace!
