Marguery Villas - Black River

The location was great for touring the Black River area. Beach and hotel restaurant nearby. Villa was beautiful, especially the outside area. Only negative - Only the bedrooms have aircon whereas the information upfront said all rooms. That was a bit of a problem in that heat. We didn't want to leave the doors open due to dengue fever mosquitos. The concierge staff were very helpful. and breakfast brought to the villa each day was fantastic.

I'll try to keep this fairly short as personally some reviews are too long winded so - From the moment we arrived the management were very welcoming and efficient with them setting up a whats up chat so you could communicate very quickly if there was a problem and it worked very well. indeed all the staff were very helpful with a smile every time with special mention to our cleaner. Important thing was the villa absolutely superb we had a one bed one with private pool and it's huge with everything you need including dishwasher and washing machine. Air con in bedroom and two large fans in the lounge/dining area and great outdoor seating and sun loungers. Lots of shops and restaurants with London Way supermarket all being within walking distance. We hired a car out for the 11 days we were there which suited us as we went around the island visiting lots of places of interest and some lovely beaches within 30 minutes driving from Black River,Le Morne public beach is lovely. We have spent 2 nights at the villa, and it was an amazing experience for us. We were able to celebrate my cousin's birthday in a moment; the atmosphere was amazing, the facility was more than we expected, and Olivier was really kind and helpful, beyond our expectation as always. It's definitely a villa that we will visit again not first and for sure not last.

Superb place to stay. Plantation Marguery is a serene and quiet area very close to all the best restaurants and facilities in Mauritius close to one of the finest beaches and 10mins from the Black River Gorges National Park. All the privacy of a private villa with an amazingly responsive concierge service. The chef is absolutely superb as well. Highly recommend.

In the Middle of the night we were robbed. The security which came later told us that this Had never happened before. Later we found out this was a Lie and that it happened four times before and that not only us were robbed that night. We think it might be someone from the stuff or in a deal with the stuff. The villa seemed nice, althouh not very clean. Terrible Experience

My family and I spent the weekend there and it was our second stay there. We had a memorable time. We enjoyed a lot. Everything was perfect. Highly recommended. Special thanks to Mr Olivier and Mr Jon who took great care of us.

However, we noticed that the villa could benefit from better climate control in the living room, as there was no air conditioning or the fan was not controllable. This was a minor inconvenience, especially since we spent most of our time enjoying the private garden and the beautiful outdoors. It's an excellent choice for families seeking a relaxing and enjoyable vacation in Mauritius, with a minor areas for improvement to make it an even more comfortable stay.
