Hotel in zona Monumento Tragedia no Mar, Matosinhos

Booked for a week long stay in this hotel, & was disappointed on arrival. Receptionist was rude, the room was completely visible from the street with no privacy curtains, so we could either keep the blackout curtains completely closed or have absolutely no privacy from a very busy intersection. Also, the toilet seat, bathroom door & air conditioning were all broken or faulty. We didn’t make a fuss because we were planning to spend our days out & at the beach, which is 10 min walk away. But we then had a family emergency back home & had to cut our trip short, & rearrange our flights urgently. We asked about getting a partial refund for the days we couldn’t stay, offering to pay a cancellation fee, as we were trying to pay for last minute flights home. The receptionist was INCREDIBLY rude & dismissive. He not only refused to help, but told us to “go away” for a few hours, saying he would call management but refused to do so on the spot, for no reason. We told him we were in a hurry trying to arrange flights home & he simply shrugged, annoyed. He didn’t try to call anyone or suggest he couldn’t at that time, he was simply refusing to & told us to go away for a few hours, when we were trying to make urgent arrangements. I called Urban Hotel offices seven times with no response, emailed about the situation & got no assistance, no refund, no credit, no basic help. An utterly subpar hotel, but the lack of politeness, basic respect & compassion was appalling. Would advise against staying here.

I arrived at the hotel on 20 November 2022 for a 5 night stay. The stay was business related and with so many hotels to choose from, I decided to go with the Porto Palacio. What an excellent choice! The hotel is absolutely brilliant - I cannot find a fault. Check-in was very smooth and on arrival to the room - wow - very modern, crisp clean sheets on the bed and a spacious room. In terms of food, the Breakfast experience was the best part of the stay for me. I have stayed in many hotels around the world - both on a personal basis and a business basis - I can honestly say that the breakfast staff at the Porto Palacio are the best I've ever come across. On arrival, I was seated quickly. On Day 1, the staff members memorised what I had that cannot be chosen by the buffet - for example, a tea and two plates (as I like two plates) - on Days 2 and for the rest of the trip, I didn't even need to ask. I was called by my Title and Surname on arrival. The whole experience was brilliant. I would like to mention a lady called Rosa and another lady (they both greet staff members at the door) - their hospitality skills are great and they are always smiling - nothing is too much for them. I didn't eat at the restaurant in the evening but had room service as personally, I like to relax after a day at the office. The food was of good quality and was tasty and piping hot. I used the gym during my stay - the gym is open to members of the public, therefore is not your usual hotel gym. It's huge - there are loads of machines and I was never waiting for someone to finish using something. Staff members are friendly. All in all - a brilliant stay and is a genuine 5 star hotel! I will return to the Porto Palacio both on a business basis and also on a personal basis - Porto looks like a great city! It's a shame that I didn't have time to look around as I had a busy schedule but I will certainly be back! Thank you!!

La posizione del Park Hotel è perfetta, a pochi passi dall'aeroporto, il che è l'ideale se devi prendere un volo la mattina presto! La camera era estremamente pulita e ben arredata. Il personale è cordiale e disponibile. Abbiamo fatto colazione in hotel ed era adeguata, con una piccola selezione di cibi caldi, pasticcini e macedonia di frutta fresca. La mia porzione di macedonia era troppo matura, anche se i miei mariti stavano bene, quindi forse sono stata solo sfortunata! Nel complesso, l'hotel andava benissimo e non esiterei a tornarci se dovessi ritrovarmi di nuovo a Porto!

Hotel situato al bordo di una nazione molto rumorosa ma la posizione è molto conveniente per raggiungere l'aeroporto che è a 10 minuti e il parcheggio è gratuito. Il personale era molto sorridente e molto accogliente. Dovremmo partire alle 4 del mattino per il nostro aereo e ci hanno offerto un caffè, succo d'arancia e torta casa prima di partire. La stanza è ”in sale” ma molto pulita e con balcone dando sulla piscina. Il menu della sera è molto completo e a un prezzo ragionevole.

Hotel moderno e economico a 10 minuti a piedi o a 3,5€ Uber per l'aeroporto di Porto. Molto conveniente per partire da lì. Quello che mi mancava personalmente all'hotel sono due cose: 1) borse da bagno 😆 e 2) cuoco d'acqua per bere caffè o tè. Non potevamo fare colazione perché il nostro viaggio era alle 06:55. Pertanto, cuoco d'acqua sarebbe perfetto.

I recently stayed here for 2 weeks on a works trip to Porto and would highly recommend. The hostel is perfectly located close to the river and Ponte Luis bridge. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms are fantastic, bunks are well thought out with lovable storage, usb charging points and power sockets. The other facilities were clean and well presented - a beautiful hostel!

Abbiamo una casa molto accogliente con bagno privato e era davvero buono. È possibile ottenere tutto quello che ti serve. Buona zona di cucina dotata, posto per cena e terrazza esterna, bagno è anche buono per questo tipo di alloggio. La piscina era già aperta nel maggio, ma era un po' fredda, ma sembra bello. Il territorio accogliente ti fa sentire in una foresta. Ci siamo rimasti la notte sul Camino Way, ma vorrei poter stare lì per un po'.

L'hotel è situato a circa 20 minuti da Porto. Ben comunicato con l'autobus quasi alla porta e perfettamente se si va in macchina. La pulizia è straordinaria, sia nelle camere che nel resto dei soggiorni. La lenzuola (toaletti e vestiti da letto) di buona qualità. Elegante avere aria condizionata nella stanza. Tutti i membri del personale molto amichevole in qualsiasi momento e dando soluzione alle nostre consultazioni sempre con un sorriso (appartamenti, reception, buffet) La colazione corretta. Un grande dettaglio fare un guincio alla gastronomia portoghese offrendo torte di cocco. Il parcheggio chiuso e gratuito è anche un plus da valutare. Vorrei congratularmi con la gestione dell'azienda e con tutti i dipendenti che lo rendono possibile. Si nota tutto il lavoro che c'è dietro per farci sentire così bene. ¡ Congratulazioni, equipaggio!
