The location is facing a tank but not very impressive but the mountain ranges that are seen around is good. The rooms are good with the washroom setup.The restaurant too was good where we had string hopper breakfast and the curries tasted good. We went on a safari from the hotels safari vehicle. We started at 2.30 pm (and the other starting time is 5 am) .We saw peacocks (even on the normal roads leading to Wasgamuwa too we can see them) Elephants of which one was a lonely animal near the road and we had to wait without passing him as it started few fearful strides, many bird types, wadu birds nets and stems of trees scraped by bears. At around 4.30 pm it rained heavily and we got wet while staying inside the vehicle as the roof of it leaked. Our bodies got cold too. After having a hot water bath we were ok.

Very nice location with balconies and terraces of rooms overlooking the pool, lake and distant Knuckles mountain range, beautiful. The pool is really nice and clean except there’s no pool seating which is a shame. The staff are plentiful, friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious but there is a lack of little comforts like cushions for the hard wooden upright balcony chairs, only one pillow each, no hand towels just bath towels. The bathroom is small and although plenty of hot water and a nice shower needs an update. Just a good scrub and fresh grouting would make a big difference. Breakfast is good with fresh fruit, juice, toast, pancakes and fried egg or omelettes. There’s a large choice of menu , we had pad Thai seafood noodles which was very tasty. The second night was a buffet style. Ideal location to visit nearby Wasgamuwa which is a beautiful but less visited National park where we had a wonderful experience seeing elephants up close. Recommend one or two nights here just to visit the park.

My hotel stay was excellent! The staff was incredibly helpful, and the rooms were comfortable and well-appointed,creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere.I had a wonderful experience overall and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great pace to stay.

I only stayed one night here but it is a beautiful property with great service. It’s first class all the way. Modern rooms, great staff, amazing views and close to safaris and other activities that one may be interested in. You’ll definitely get your money’s worth at the Lavendish Wild Safari!

Very nice place. Breakfast is very tasty and Great experience and authentic Sri Lankan Lavendish Wild Safari hotel in an amazing location. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend it to anyone visiting wasgamuwa Lavendish Wild Safari Hotel. Not a more tourist but very relaxing place. I like this town area excellent people.

Great service friendly staffs the manager was awsom Tasty food with varieties Clean rooms and spacious Great outlook Safari team was exelent with lots of patient and was close captures of wildlife experiences Will back definitely next time

It’s an average place but definitely a good place around Wasganuwa as there isn’t much places around. Accommodation was average and food was average as well Nothing much to mention there but staff is friendly and ample parking and they arrange the safari as well. Not a bad place to stay to visit wasgamuwa

It is a 2* hotel or 3* at best. If any more stars were to be given it would be a shame on so many great hotels / villas in the country. Having said that in the particular Wasgamuwa area perhaps there aren't too many other options. The rooms were large but the toilets and some of the amenities need to be maintained. The food could certainly be a little more diverse if a bueffet system is to be used. The staff were very nice (particularly the girls doing the cleaning) but could be trained much more if perhaps the manager took a little more interest in the place.

A hotel with a great location and a friendly staff, with the great support that they have given . I could succeed my event with a great ending.❤️ The food is great.. thank you chef.. given like that delicious foods.😋 Environment is soo calm and quiet. I would highly recommend this hotel.. specially I would like to thank to Mr priyantha Residents manager you given patta support to us .. you are the best thank you thank you soo much.. everything.. and the crew to the support that they have given You all make my engagement day wonderful ❤️❤️❤️🌸🌸🌸
