I am physically disabled, I travel with my service dog, and I was put in a 2nd floor room on the freeway side. This room is as far away from the elevator as possible, making it difficult to take my service dog to potty. It also made me unable to partake of the free breakfast, since you're not even allowed to take it back to your room, however the furniture in the Sunshine room is very uncomfortable for my disability. My room was missing hand towels, wash cloths, and an ice bucket. I called office, only got towels and nothing to put ice in, but the ice machine is on the inside a floor down, which meant no cold beverage for me. The microwave was broken, they didn't replace it. Several plugs were like this one, making me rather nervous. People two doors down were fighting, banging on rails, and breaking stuff by throwing it to the concrete a floor down. 2 people turned into a total of 6 people there. I called the office around 12am, 2am, then finally at 4am, the hotel didn't bother to call police or kick them out of the hotel. I had asked to be switched rooms, since I had checked their website, TRIP, and talked to the housekeeper to confirm that there were a few other rooms exactly like what I had rented. The hotel refused to switch my room, claiming they were fully booked, but I could see with my own eyes how few vehicles were in the parking lot, plus all the dark rooms with curtains fully open. A couple of the rooms I know for a fact were exactly what I had reserved, since I had stayed in those rooms previously.
I went from someone who would have highly recommended this hotel, to someone who now says they need to get their issues in order, correct their attitude while dealing with the issues, and don't lie about "we contacted them and worked the issues out", when they really had such dismissive during this stay. I will say that the housekeeping staff continue to be as helpful as possible, they're very friendly, they will respect your stuff, and they will compliment your service dog to the point when your dog starts strutting like the queen that she is.
