Amazing place around coffee and nature, great and friendly staff, delicious local food, very interesting activities. So, an experience unforgettable.

Paradise! A beautiful building full of light, surrounded by the most amazing flowers and birds. The home made meals where delicious. Everything spotless clean. One suggestion: we had to close the balcony doors to avoid insects, but the room was hot. I could barely sleep! There was a tiny fan (loud and not enough) but it will be so much easier to put some nets (mosquiteras) on the windows and let the fresh air coming in! Also more birds songs. A simple solution that will make this place perfect! We did the coffee tour with Laura: adorable very professional. An excellent tour: informative, interesting and very enjoyable. She is an amazing teacher!

We stayed for 4 nights in this very beautiful place.The house staff were so helpful and looked after us very well with good food and service.Our experience was tainted by having the worst room (rm 1) which was next to the entrance which meant closing the shutters for any privacy and the room was dark with no view.We asked the office/reception twice to move rooms and despite numerous changeovers and empty rooms,they couldnt be bothered.Also,when we paid our bill at the end there was no thanks! Everything else was great,we loved our coffee tour .Dont let this put you off just ask for a room at the side or rear with a view.

Little piece of paradise!! It’s a bit out of the city centre so go there to stay and relax, it is definitely worth it. The hacienda is authentic and very charming ( I stayed in the main house) and the surrounding nature is incredible. I learned a lot from the coffee tour and workshop. Also the birding tour is very recommendable as there are so many beautiful birds around there you don’t want to miss. It’s a unique opportunity where they provide you with decent binoculars and give very useful tips to take your first steps in this mesmerizing world. Food is delicious as well and you can tell that everyone who works there does it with heart and soul. I absolutely recommend, muchas gracias!

A friends recommended to me that I visit and I’m so glad I did. I was travelling solo but everyone made me feel so welcome - the host/owner Juan Pablo is really involved, chats to all the guests and really cares about the experience you have. It didn’t matter that I was alone as there were lots of activities to get involved in and it was a very peaceful place to enjoy the a**osphere. The food is exceptional and there are lovely onsite chefs who add to the experience, originally I was not going to eat every meal at the location but it was too good not too! It is a fantastic place to stay if you want to escape the tourist traps of solento and Manizales and actually was my favourite experience in the area. On top of it being a beautiful place to stay, it’s perfect if you are interested in learning about coffee and the local birds. I will go again and take family members who are interested in both.

We visited the coffee farm as a group . The experience was amazing , great explanation, very good information , beautiful grounds . The coffee that was given to us to try was one of the worst I ever had ! It tasted very, very diluted , you could see thru it . It looked and tasted as they rinsed the coffee pot & served it to us . I can not believe that as a business which wants to sell you the product you would give your guests such a BAD coffee ! I guess , anything to save a buck ! I was so looking forward to this experience ! Something that could be a great experience turned into a disappoin**ent & all this was about being cheap & inconsiderate towards the guests .

What an amazing location, great staff, felt so looked after. An fantastic place to connect with nature, recharge the batteries. Cant think of a better option in the coffee region to experience authentic Colombia with great service.

This place was not what I was anticipating , a very misleading website We stayed at the guest house, there’s no restaurant. They prepare one selection for lunch and dinner, you’ll line up with others to get your meal. The rooms do not have potable water, amazing, I didn’t think that in Colombia ( where I’ve travelled a lot) you could have dirty water ( actual dirt ) coming out of the faucet and shower. Drinkable water was available at the kitchen. The bathroom window was a screen mesh, with big holes, plenty of insects and mosquitoes

We travelled as a group of three friends, and due to availability we booked rooms in both the Main House and the Coffee Lodge. There are a few things which perhaps are not immediately understood when booking, such as the fact that each house has its own staff who cooks the meals, as well as that, I would guess due to safety reasons, the gates at each location are locked at around 9pm (there is a nonstop number that can be called after that, but who wants to inconvenience anyone?) Other than these two aspects, our stay was really great and the staff were really sensitive to our needs (for instance, we had an evolving medical situation back home and our last tour had to be interrupted - we were not charged for it and the staff passed on their good wishes to us upon departure). I’ve traveled to nearly 40 countries and to me the true value of a service is seen when things go wrong, not when everything goes as expected. We did not hang around much around the farm, although the pools at each location looked lovely, instead we took tours every day - which for us, coming from Europe and without a rental car, were good value for money. Since our Spanish is not anywhere near-native, we got an English-speaking guide called Johan, and this review should be mainly about him - as he is simply a real asset to the farm. Johan is such a kind, gentle soul who not only possesses a wealth of knowledge about everything from coffee to rock music, but also is incredibly fun to be around. We learnt lots but it always felt like talking to a friend who also wanted to know a bit about us, and not just pass information. We did the tour of Los Nevados and the thermal baths on day 1, the tour of Cocora Valley, Salento and Filandia on day 2, as well as the coffee tour on our last day, and we would have enjoyed staying more just to learn more about Colombia and share some more laughs with Johan. He is simply an incredible, genuine human being, and if we are to return he’d be part of the reason!
