This is our second stay at this hotel. Check in excellent as always. Special thanks to Chris on reception. Our room was on the ground floor over looking the rear parking area. We had a drink in the bar which was busy but a nice atmosphere.We booked a stay and parking package the whole process was good. Our car was left on-site .As we were flying from terminal 2 we used the mini bus pick up service arranged by the hotel to take us the morning of our flight. No need if your flying from terminal 1 as it’s just a few minutes walk. Thanks for another excellent stay.

L'hotel è convenientemente situato vicino all'aeroporto di Manchester, ma se si verifica tardi, viaggiando con un paio di valigie, si può desiderare di leggere. Abbiamo chiesto all'hotel dall'aeroporto di Bruxelles di avere un senso di base di dove aspettare la navetta dell'hotel per il pick-up; ci hanno detto il personale/operatore della ricezione, che si deve prenotare online e l'ultima pick-up è alle 10:00. Abbiamo chiesto se potesse prenotare, perché io ero già al telefono con lei, ma lei ha spiegato che era una festa di outsourcing e dovevamo farlo. Il nostro volo aveva un arrivo programmato alle 09:30, quindi ha deciso di prenotare la navetta. Non è stato facile trovare un link sul loro sito web. Li ho chiamati di nuovo per chiedere dove posso fare la prenotazione online e sono stati detto che uno deve solo tagliare la strada e l'hotel era proprio lì. Fortunatamente abbiamo avuto un piccolo portafoglio con le ruote ciascuno e non pioveva in quel momento, anche se le strade erano bagnate da una recente doccia piovana. Hotel funzionale. Pulizia/bella. Se arrivate tardi, con gli anziani o con un paio di valigie grandi, ricordatelo. Chiamatevi anche per capire le ore di funzionamento per il servizio di navetta. È Inghilterra, quindi avere un ombrello conveniente è sempre utile. (a partire dalla metà marzo 2023).

Ho prenotato questo hotel come il giorno del mio volo c'era un treno. È anche vicino all'aeroporto e leggermente più economico di Radissons all'interno dell'aeroporto. Tuttavia, non c'erano segni dalla stazione ferroviaria per l'hotel. Ho finito di camminare in giro, non dovevo andare! Mi sono reso conto che avrei dovuto camminare all'aeroporto per uscire più vicino all'hotel. Un po' di coda al check-in, ma va bene altrimenti. La stanza era comoda, con un set. Le tazze di caffè sembrano svuotare - entrambe! Sembrano essere il materiale di cui sono state fatte le tazze. Grande tovaglioli morbidi sono un piacere. Bottiglie separate sul muro per il gel di doccia, shampoo, condizionatore. Buona doccia, opzioni di doccia normale e pioggia in una grande zona doccia. Guardatevi facilmente, non ho pagato per colazione. Ho fatto un corto giro in mattinata intorno al parco auto dell'hotel! Necessità ... In generale, lo consiglio, finché sapete come camminare all'hotel dall'aeroporto in modo sicuro! Lo consiglio di collegare l'hotel con l'aeroporto per firmare. Se ci sono segni e io l'ho mancato, allora devono essere prominenti, comprese le linee guida dettagliate sul sito.

The hotel is good for the price, but even though it’s not far from the airport, it is difficult to get to unless you use a taxi.
I complimentary shuttle service and the public bus (which I used) is dirty with rude unhelpful drivers!

Boiling hot public areas. Too hot. Stifling. No need for it, when its mild outside, and it was. Pleasant service from all the staff I spoke with. Had a meal in the bar, which I ordered at 21.15, which I thought was pretty good, the fact that the kitchen was still open. I went straight to bed afterwards, so hadn't noticed that neither the kettle nor the TV in my room worked. Disappointed really, and, cheap room or not, hardly what you expect. I reported it to reception and got a free coffee to take away, since I was checking out. On balance then, a mixed bag, but I would stay again. Where else can you get a room in Manchester for £34.

We booked 3 rooms for a Saturday here as we were visiting family in Chorlton. We arrived just after 11 and asked if we could have an early check in. The young girl on Reception was friendly, smiley and helpful and checked if a room was ready. It was an extra £15 per room for early check in and she suggested just checking into one room to save us £30 and offered to store the luggage for the other 2 rooms. After catching up with our family we returned and had a couple of drinks in the bar, again the staff were friendly and polite. We had a great nights sleep as we always do in a PI and the shower was fantastic. The room had all we needed and a little bonus was a little tin of cookies with a note, which was a lovely touch. Breakfast was great, nobody rushed us and there was a great selection of food as always. We would definitely recommend staying here and we will return on our next visit up North to see the family!

UUtente ospiteWe stayed in Manchester for the weekend and The Midland was in a perfect spot for exploring the city.
Both nights we stayed at the Midland there were wedding parties being hosted there, unfortunately this led to not having the best sleep as there was regularly noise coming from other rooms, but when we called reception they did their best to help.
In the morning the staff were extremely apologetic and went above and beyond to make it up to us and said they usually are able to keep the bigger parties staying in the same area so this does not happen.
Lovely hotel, lovely staff, great location!

Love how they maximise space, in the rooms and are still able to offer facilities that you would not usually expect. Didnt need to use the microwave, dishwasher, pans, etc as only an overnight stay, but everything is high and quality.

NNashykashyLoved my stay at this Hotel. It was my third time staying at this hotel. The aesthetics of the Hotel are really nice. The spaces in the hotel are modern with a touch of luxury. The front desk ladies that I met during my stay were welcoming, friendly and had good vibes.Nothing beats a warm welcome.
Check in was quick and easy and very professional. I forgot the name of the lady that checked us in but she was fabulous. We checked in on September 4th 2024 between 12:20-12:50 so the lady that was sat on the right side of the main desk at that time did really well n checking us in.
The breakfast was okay , but it kinda left me wanting more in terms of selection. Maybe beef sausages or even chicken sausages could be added???
But it was still good nevertheless.
The location of the hotel is also pretty good as you are able to go to access many restaurants… and shopping points.
Distance from the Machester Piccadilly Train station from this hotel is super convenient as well.

DDeimanteMy room was meant to be with king size bed but we got 2 single beds joined together, the single beds had wheels on them so they kept rolling away from each other. It would also move around when you’d try to get into bed. Beds were super high as well, and when they are on wheels it’s a bit tricky to get into one of them especially if you’re short and overweight. Tv was not working, super old so had no smart hub, so no Netflix or any other platforms, you can’t even stream your screen view from your phone. Antenna had no reception so you couldn’t even watch any regular tv programs.
Other than that, shower was great and clean, everything else in the room was also clean and the room was pretty spacious which I really liked. Location is great, you have an access to a gym.

KKhairahLa stanza è stata molto confortevole, rendendola una brisa per accedere all'arena. La stanza è stata spaziosa, offrendo spazio per rilassarsi e rilassarsi. Uno dei punti di vista è stato il prezzo ragionevole, che ha reso l'esperienza complessiva ancora più soddisfacente. Inoltre, il mini-store di autocontrollo nella zona di accoglienza con una varietà di snacks è stato un piacevole toccamento. Ho trovato conveniente prendere un pezzo veloce o indulgere in alcuni trattamenti senza dover fare molto. Il desk front era super amichevole e veloce, rendendo il check-in e check-out facile. Con queste esperienze positive, posso dire con fiducia che scelgo di visitare questo hotel ogni volta che avrò un altro evento presso AO Arena.

UUtente ospiteThey sold our room and tried to make us rebook and pay again!! We booked 2 x double rooms for 3 nights and paid in full when booked (12th - 15th April). I requested adjacent rooms. Our flight got cancelled so 2 of us were unable to stay the first night. Our daughter travelling from elsewhere and arrived at the hotel the first night, 12th April, checked into one room and told them the situation and confirmed that we would be arriving the next day, 13th April. We arrived, tried to check in and the lady on reception said that our booking was for 12th and this was 13th so we would have to make a new booking and pay again!! I said no, I booked and paid for 2 rooms for 3 nights. She said because we didn't arrive on 12th our booking was cancelled. I said no it was not as our daughter checked in and told them the day before. I insisted I would not be rebooking and asked to speak to a manager. She eventually checked with a manager and said we could have a room. This was 3 floors down from our daughter and not what I'd booked. They had basically resold my room. I was glad to get a room but not impressed with their service. It was atrocious that I had paid £500+ for the booking but due to circumstances outwith my control - the flight being cancelled - they did not keep our room for us. They were informed of the situation and my daughter was staying there as part of the booking.
They are not to be trusted. I wouldn't stay there again.

MMallu Couple TravellersI recently stayed at the Britannia Hotel in Manchester and wanted to share my thoughts.
Location:
The location is definitely one of the hotel’s strongest points. It’s super accessible to all forms of transport, whether you’re arriving by train, bus, or tram. It’s right in the city center, so you can easily explore Manchester without much hassle.
Parking:
The parking arrangement is convenient if you’re driving, especially with free parking between 8 pm and 8 am. Outside of those hours, you’ll need to pay, so keep that in mind if you’re staying for longer stretches.
Hotel Condition:
This is where the hotel shows its age. The building is very old, and while it has some charm, it could definitely use an upgrade. You can feel the wear and tear in the common areas and some of the rooms.
Rooms:
The rooms are a mixed bag. The basic rooms are just that—basic. They’re not particularly comfortable, and if you’re picky about where you sleep, you might feel underwhelmed. However, if you go for one of the upgraded rooms, the experience is much better. Those rooms feel cleaner and more inviting.
Breakfast:
Breakfast is a solid deal at just £9. It’s not a luxury spread, but it gets the job done. You’ll find the usual options for a budget-friendly hotel breakfast.
Staff:
The staff are a highlight of the hotel. They’re very kind and helpful, making you feel welcome from check-in to check-out.
Value for Money:
Overall, this is a budget-friendly hotel, so you do get what you pay for. If you’re looking for a no-frills place to stay in a central location and don’t mind the dated vibe, it works. However, if comfort and modern amenities are a priority, you might want to explore other

UUtente ospiteCouldn't find our fully paid booking, 1 room had foam toppers on beds other room didn't very uncomfortable sleep. Having to pay a deposit for a kettle is ridiculous wont be staying again. .

RRachelIt was a really comfortable bed, and clean sheets and good pillows. The bathroom was clean, garden and outside untidy. Friendly staff though not sure where to go for help, no reception desk
